I got dip instead of acrylics and they were so great at their service. However, by the end of the day my nail cracked and came off! I left there around 11am and around 6 pm i noticed the huge chip off my nail. I could understand if i was doing crazy activities to make it come off but i literally had a final and a potluck. No activity at all that would reasonably cause this. I attempted to call but they were near closing. I will call tomorrow to hopefully fix this. Edit: It's getting worse! 2 other nails have started "lifting" the polish. I called them and they said i could come in on Monday to fix it so fingers crossed read more

I'm older and also seldom get nail tips. When I did get tips there; although I asked to keep them thin, they were very thick. Less natural looking. However, the one star is because the "gentleman" that did my nails spoke to me in a loud, hateful voice when I didn't relax my hand enough. I don't hear well. I thought he asked me to repeat what I had just said. No.... because I repeated myself instead of relaxing my hand he spoke to me in a loud voice and hatefully. "I know what you said, relax your hand!" I'm always respectful to people. I was really shocked and hurt by his outburst. Life's too short for that. There are many more salons to choose from. read more

Went in yesterday with my little sister to reward myself with a mani/pedi for my birthday. I was happily greeted and sat in the chair for my pedi. Which was PERFECT! Afterwards, I sit with a female technician who seemed nice at first. In the middle of the process I noticed she was rushing and became a lot more aggressive. Didn't think anything of it because it was near close. It is 12:15 Am I WAS AWOKEN BY PAINFULLY THROBBING NAILS which I can't even use the restroom or open the Tylenol bottle top they hurt so bad. If the pain doesn't go away by later morning, I will be even more angry to have spent $80 and in pain........ 03/10/2020 2:01 pm I have to take 600mg of ibuprofen to get past the pain . Got a Manny mani done. Guys trust and believe you can be confident, dressed sharped to the nines, but if you are going to a formal event and your hands are rough and unkept..big faux pas. I have been here a few times, and noticed a customer being a bit snobbish here or there and recently read past review to the sort of bad service, so I will temper my review with a cultural perspective. I usually have a good experience when getting a manicure minus a small cuticle not cut here or there, but it is not a deal breaker. I have a nice conversation with the aesthetician and leave with nice groomed nails. Everyone is friendly, but very engaged in providing their client with a tailored experience. Sometimes you can get your nails done, by one person and another person might scrub your feet. It all depends on skill set and customer flow so I can see how someone can consider this rude. I find the customer service I receive amazing every time I come here even though the aestheticians deal with a variety of people and personalities. For instance the clients that might have felt slighted by perceived rudeness. I say to them, try and change the filter you see through and maybe ask yourself are you being understood clearly. I laugh because sometimes customers make unnecessary remarks to a nail tech not realizing the majority of the techs might not speak English, but understand very well. Also, if you know even a couple of greetings in Vietnamese, it opens a whole other avenue of conversation and common interests. I took my 85 year old mother here and we had mani pedis. Her nails were scary after all the months of Covid and her toenails were hard and difficult to trim, and she felt embarrassed to have them tended to, but I talked her into it. We had a WONDERFUL experience. The nail tech who worked on my mom was so kind and gentle. He put her completely at ease. I highly recommend this nail salon. read more

This was my first time going here. Tip Toe is probably my new go to nail salon. The salon is the cleanest of this type of salons I have seen, The prices are also cheaper than I have been paying! Basic spa pedi & mani = $30. Regular mani = $10. Very good service. The girls did a very good job and I am very happy. This was my first time coming to Tip Toe and probably my last time. I came in with a friend to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. I didn't receive a greeting and the lady pointed to me to take a seat in the pedicure chair. I proceeded to sit down and soak my feet. Another lady, particularly young with a wretched attitude, handed me a bowl of nail polish remover to soak my hands. The entire time of my pedicure she was very short, rude and snarky. She then proceeded to give me my gel manicure. Everything she said and asked me was with an attitude and temper and she continued to give me mean glares. As she was filing down my nails, she filed so hard she cut the skin open on my finger and said, "Oh...sorry..." and rolled her eyes as if I had inconvenienced her. The remainder of the session stayed the same and when I went to cash out, she didn't bother to say thank you for the tip she did not deserve. read more

It's been almost 10 years since I had my nails done...so I searched Yelp and FB for days beginning I decided to try this location. When I arrived there were several people waiting but the atmosphere was pleasant and I didn't have to wait long. The nail tech Katie was amazing and patient, she answered allot my questions (like I said its been 10 years since I've had my nails professionally done). I love how my nails turned out! Much more money for a mani/pedi than what I'm used to compared to when I lived in Atlanta. It was an okay experience. The water wasn't hot enough for me but it got the job done. A teenaged boy did my mani/pedi and he did a really good job. He was sure to ask me if he was hurting me or not. He wasn't shy...I like to talk to my nail technicians if they are able to hold a bit of conversation with me. Outside of the price it was a good experience. Didn't know this when I made reservations, but they have two "princess" chairs that are sized for young girls to get their feet and hands done while their adults are getting their own pedicure and manicure. They took great care of us, I would definately recommend for any "girls"day out! read more

Although the staff is nice and the salon is clean, they do not know how to properly remove gel polish. Instead of using foil they had me soak my hands in remover and then the technician impatiently scraped my nail beds. It was too painful to let her finish so I soon left. read more

I recently moved to the area and this was the place that EVERYONE recommended. So I decided to try it out. There was no wait when I got there. They started my pedicure immediately and did my manicure simultaneously. I asked for the deluxe pedicure, I figure for more money it would be longer then the standard pedicure. I pretty much paid extra for the sugar scrub. The pedicure was quick and the massage was one of the worst I ever had. The gentleman ripped both of his gloves while rubbing my legs because he was doing it so hard and fast. When the gloves broke he said, "must be a good massage." I wasn't sure if he remembered I got the deluxe because it was so quick. I moved to the manicure area, it was nice already having most of my manicure done. They just had to do the gel. The lady kept getting up because a bridal party walked in- which it appeared they had no idea they were coming. At one point there were about 9 customers waiting and 4 people working. Needless to say my gel manicure was not great. I was fine with how everything came out. They were busy and I understand that. But, what made me write this review was Monday night my manicure peeled right off. I received the mani/pedi on Thursday night. Not sure if I will be back anytime soon. read more

Horrible customer service ! I can't find a decent eyebrow place in Augusta! The girl in the front counter said "what do you want" I asked for and eyebrow wax and she said "go to room" . lady I've never been here what room !!!! She comes in to the waxing room and tells me to lay down ! I tell her that I've been growing my eyebrows out because they were messed up last time I need them reshaped and not too thin !! I like it this way - my decompress and catch up time on the latest gossip mags. I enjoy the quiet as I deal with humans all day long - the last thing I want to do is talk. This was my first time going to this place it was beautiful I went with my aunt and we both just got a basic $20 pedicure. It was awesome!!! They were super rude! Guess they don't need the business. Tried calling for availability and she snapped that they were busy!!!

They did NOT earn a return customer with me. Very disappointed in not only the customer service, but in the attention to detail as well. First off, no one even talks....at all. They don't ask if their work is to your liking, they don't ask if you are comfortable or if the temperature of the water is comfortable...nothing. Customer service was horrific. My pedicure turned out great, the water was too hot, but I got used to the water once my feet were in the water for a while. Next, I was told to sit in a chair because I wanted an acrylic layer put onto my nails. This was the HORRIBLE part. First, I was never asked what I wanted. Wasn't asked how short I wanted my nails...the only question I was asked was if I wanted square shaped, which she was already doing, so yeah, go ahead and finish with the square shape. The paint job looked like something I did, which is why I go to the salon in the first place...no attention to detail at all. The polish is very crooked at the cuticle on all of my nails, some worse than others. VERY disappointed. And secondly, every single nail is so uneven in shape. And to make matters even that much worse, she didn't even check to make sure my nails were the same length. Ugh, just horrible service and attention to detail all around. When I paid and was finished, she didn't thank me at all, just told me to follow her to the back and to sit down, no thank you, no sit down here for such and such minutes...no, it's like she didn't know how to talk at all. And when I walked out the door, there was a gentleman and a woman, both on their phones, and they didn't even say goodbye, tell me to have a good day, or to come back again. It's okay, because even if they did, I won't go back again, and I suggest you all re-think about going here too. Oh, and you are so welcome for your tip you OBVIOUSLY DID NOT DESERVE.......I will never go back again. There is too much competition when it comes to nail salons for employees to work and act like this. I will kindly take my business and my money elsewhere from now on! read more
