1 star for quality of pedicure. But due to the friendliness of the staff I gave this place 3 stars. The spa Pedicure was rough/abrasive and slightly painful and the paint job was abysmal. The lady didn't paint the sides of my toenails, didn't paint even coats and didn't apply a top clear coat. As a result, pedicure started to wear after day two. I was very disappointed with the quality prior to leaving but just paid for the service and left. I would not recommend this place. read more

5 day check in. The more I look at my nails the angrier I get. She didn't cut my cuticles or my natural nails. Some of my nails are already starting to lift and polish is chipping on some of them. I got SNS with gel polish. The shape is just awful and looks worse and worse as my nails grow out. They only get 2 stars for cleanliness and for being friendly. I'm upset I paid $45 plus tip for such a bad job. I'm getting these removed and I would suggest not coming here. Honestly so mad. read more

I had always used CND Shellac prior, but the SNS allows my nails to be even stronger, grow healthier, & allow me to have a tip added for some extra length. (I work in a hair salon, so nice nails are hard to have.) KEVIN saved the day for me!! Thanks to Yelp! I have good and bad experiences with this nail salon. The owner is great, and his work is amazing if he gets to finish your nails from beginning to end. My biggest complaints are the polishing and nails that fan out. Polish should cover the entire nail and two coats of color & clear should be applied, paying attention to detail will fix this problem. Nails should be narrow and not fan out. Ensuring everyone has proper training and viewing a few YouTube videos on how to apply acrylic, gel, etc. will help this salon keep it's current clients and gain more. I would give them zero stars if I could. I've gave them a total of three tries before establishing my permanent judgement! But the final verdict is HORRIBLE service. They rush their services. The third visit there I took my hubby and teenage daughter for a family date night. We were looking forward to it. My husband and I paid for the most deluxe pedi and my daughter had a classic pedi. Hers was a total of 9 minutes from start to being out of the chair and ours was only 13-15 minutes! I was furious and they TRIED to charge us the full price for the services we requested. Each time I've been there I had similiar experiences. I will never go back and won't recommend them to anyone. read more

I'm new to the area trying to find a regular salon to frequent. First impressions... The floors were dirty and two kids running around that belong to the folks running the salon. One is dripping a baby bottle as she walks around. The television is loudly playing CBS. It is a Monday with only one other person getting a pedi. I get handed to a male to do my mani/gel. It was hurried and not relaxing in the slightest. I was passed off to the older lady who would do my pedi. She brings tools out unwrapped from a washcloth. I'd rather them be unsealed from a package and after questioning assures me they've been sanitized. The menus most expensive pedi (milk and honey) is $42 and I decide to go for it. She dropped some "leaves" that look like bath confetti into the water. She shapes my nails and trims cuticles. A cheese grater tool is then used on my heels. She then tells me I need the razor blade (hasn't that been outlawed? It was in the last few states I've traveled). Next was a rose flavored sugar scrub (flowery smells yuck) on the legs and feet along with the pumice stone on the feet. A mask was applied and wiped off with hot towels. She then put a green oil on the legs that smelled loud like tea tree oil. It was not a pleasant smell and it lingered. The massage was good she had strong hands but it was less than 3 minutes per leg. I smelled like flowers and liniment walking out. Too pricey for what you get. Not very relaxing. Not going to be my permanent place. read more

This place is a no for me. Went on a Saturday morning for a fill in. Older gentleman with very shaky hands and poor English struggled to maintain a steady hand with the drill on my nails. He ended up cutting my skin several times making me bleed. I should have stopped him early on but wanted to give him a chance. My fingers now have open sores and burn! I'll have to wait until my hands are healed to get a proper fill. He struggled to paint, removing the polish to start again before getting another worker to paint my nails. After the gel polish dried I could see that the acrylic was laid unevenly with thick spots and divots which were brought out even more highlighting all the imperfections. I stayed silent with the occasional, "that's hot" and "ouch". I was asked by another worker "you like", I shook my head and said no, explaining that they were done sloppily and he had cut me several times. At this point I had been there almost two hours already. She said "you want fix" to which I replied "no". I knew my fingers couldn't handle being worked over anymore than they already had been. I begrudgingly paid $30, and did not leave a tip and I have no plans to return again. Maybe put Pops on pedicure duty, something that doesn't require a steady hand. read more

My daughter is 16 years old and going to Prom on Friday. I am not a wealthy person. I decided to take her to this nail salon. I specifically asked for a spa pedicure $25.00 and an ACRYLIC set with paint $25.00, and shape eyebrows $8.00.Which totals $58.00USD Now I said ACRYLIC TWICE maybe three times to these people. Go to pay and she tells me $77.00 , daughter thinks the tip is in the price....lady say ohhh there no tip in price..I said ACRYLIC set is what I ordered, she said Gel Set, I was about to tell her off. I went in there with a cost of $58.00 in mind and end up paying double because they have SELECTIVE HEARING, I have heard them speak English, I know they heard me!!!!. What a bunch of rip off artists. Will never go there again and I would not give them another penny and I will tell everyone I see wearing nails not to go there unless they want to have a $19.00 fee added....I WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Worst experience ever. I was going ring shopping with my boyfriend and wanted my nails to look nice so I decided to get a full set of acrylics. I went in and asked how long the wait was and how long it would take. He said no wait and only 30 minutes. I thought this was odd (super fast) but I agreed and told my ride to come back in 30 minutes. My nail tech literally didn't understand a word I was saying and couldn't speak back to me. My nails looked AWFUL. They were extremely thick, none were the same length and/or shape, and he painted the white french tips on and put the top coat on too soon so it just smeared he white. Also, the entire process took 2 hours so My dinner with my boyfriend was cold and I was in a bad mood for what was supposed to be a great night. I left in tears because when I tried to explain how unhappy I was, he couldn't understand. I went in the next day and wanted the nails taken off but again he couldn't understand what I was saying and I got yelled at by another worker for not getting gel nails (which makes no sense, I know, but again the language barrier was extreme) I ended up leaving in tears of frustration once again, and ended up paying another salon to take them off. I'm giving LA Nails 3 stars as an average, basically. My first two trips there were 5 star, Kevin (the owner) did my nails both times and they were perfect and he provides great customer service. I got a full set with gel polish, so it was a little pricey but worth it and then went back for a fill in and polish change. Yesterday I went back to have the nails removed and a basic manicure with gel polish...Kevin was not there and an older man did my nails...I was quite unhappy as they do not soak your nails off, they cut the tips and then pry them off, leaving one nail ripped into the quick and a chunk out of the middle of my pinky nail. Other than that they look good, but I went to pay and I was charged the same price as for a full set..I questioned him, but he speaks next to no English so he didn't understand what I was asking him. I probably won't go back for awhile and when/if I do, I won't let anyone but Kevin do my nails. read more
