Wouldn't removing the old gel be required 3rd How did I get upgraded services and was done before my niece and sister? (and u could tell my nails were rushed) 4th When I tell you my nails are messed up you ignore me and leave the shop while I wait for the rest of my party no offer to correct or anything 5th How have 2 of my nieces nails came off and my gel polish chipping after only 1 week? This place is trash I figured I would try it since it is close to my house, but if I could give a 0 rating I would! Over charged for nails and pretended not to speak good English. In addition the posted signs with charges are not clear and they don't explain them well. In addition they don't time manage customer services well. The facility was not the cleanest either. read more

The work they do is most often, very well done. Only once have I had a small complaint. My nails got filed too thin, and I had to come back a little sooner than expected. One broke, because I type every day. The repair fee was only $10. Reasonable. The scheduling is difficult. It is based on technician assigned to the customer - not on who arrived when. Appointments cannot take precedence if only one (or two) person/people is/are capable of a particular request, and if they're available. So, walking in is as good as making an appointment. One guy did my nails on a walk in, (Acrylic set + gel) and stayed thirty minutes past close to finish my nails. It was his birthday and the entire staff was patiently occupying themselves until he finished, so they could celebrate. I was invited. :-) Good people. read more

Nail Art has great prices compared to other nail salons in the area. The salon is clean and they provide free beverages such as soda or water. I typically get dip powder manicures and the two that I have gotten here both have chipped within the first week. Also, both times I had to wait a bit longer than when my appointment was supposed to start. I have a family member who this is her go to salon and raves about her manicures though! read more

A great nail salon! I love how it is decorated. Very classy with the elevated nail bar and tile. My gal gave me an extra long leg massage. This is my favorite thing ever. If I get a good leg massage I will be back every time. They did a great job and didn't leave me waiting in my chair very long before they came for my pedicure. The only reason I take off a star is because I called before coming in and the response was to "come in at 6:15". When I got there they were a little bit rude like I had came at the end of their shift and they didn't appreciate it. I will definitely go back and hope they will be more welcoming. read more

Scheduled an appointment easily for same day! Great :) I am visiting family in Kansas, as my usual salon is in Las Vegas. Since I had been here for a couple weeks I was due for some maintenance so based on the pictures I saw of the "coffin" nails I found on this business's page I opted with them! Came in, was pleasantly surprised at the decor and how cute it looked. I was greeted promptly and was told to select my color :) I was in a pedicure chair and feet soaking within 5-10 mins. The woman who did my pedicure was so nice and so sweet! And did a great job on my toes. I got rhinestones on my toes and they are still all in tact and looking nice. So my toes are 10 stars! Nails ... I decided to get rhinestones on all fingers, along the tops, to match my toes. I got the same color as well as toes. I asked for coffin shape and my acrylic was filed perfectly, smooth, no irregularities in texture. My lengths amongst my nails were slightly off but only noticeable to me, I guess. My gel however, was very lumpy, very uneven, and 4 days later, 4 of my nails have damaged gel. I had drops of gel that were left un-filed on the very tip of my nail which leads to gel lifting. On one nail, all of my rhinestones are missing :( and on 5 other nails ( so six nails total ) I am missing at least one out of 7 small rhinestones across the top. I came in at 4:30 on Wednesday. Left at 7:15. Not too long not too short. My nail tech who did my nails who was polite to me, and did the design exactly as I asked. While I was getting my nails done, within an hour and a half of being in the nail chair, two women came in to get a nail fixed. It's not a good sign :( Over all - 9/10. I can say I do like more flamboyant flashy nails and that may not be the norm out here so maybe there hasn't been a lot of practice with rhinestones, or gel. But I'm sad I need to get my nails fixed 4 days later. :,( Price- for everything was 105 (not including tip). I thought was very fair considering I got rhinestones on two big toes and every single finger, and a new full set (no removal, I had no nails on) so price is great. I imagine it was around 40 for toes 60 for nails. ( I got my inspiration from a picture on Pinterest, they didn't have the exact color I liked, but they did have something similar so I opted for that, but I was disappointed they didn't have a nice neon yellow, their selection for gel is quite limited if you like fun or different colors ) read more

First time going here, at the recommendation of a friend. A sweet young girl with blue glasses did my pedi $25 foe the basic pedicure. Included leg and foot massage, hot towels, lotion of some kind. That alone took 45 mins. She took her time and was very thorough. Not very talkative, but that's what I prefer. TK did my acrylic nails with gel polish ($45) and he did a fabulous job! He really took his time to make sure they were all the same length and looked similar. I haven't had my nails done in probably a decade. I couldn't be happier with the result! Tucked away in a little strip mall off Shawnee Mission Pkwy is Nail art, one of the best places to get your nails done in Shawnee. I've been to more nail places than I care to admit and this little place is one of my favorites. The staff is professional, the work is always consistent, the establishment is very clean, prices are fair, and the most important part.. the gel, dip, and nail polish lasts a long time. The owner Long is an amazing nail artist! He was able to copy (and improve on) several intricate designs my granddaughters had chosen.

I tried this place for the first time two weeks ago because of how close it is to my house. The wait was a little long but I understood since it was near the end of the day. I got an acrylic gel manicure. The nail tech who was working on me cut my skin a few times on different finger. I let it be until it really started to hurt. Now here I am two weeks later needing a fill and will not be returning. My nails have lifted so badly. I could peel some of them off by how much they're lifted. This shouldn't happen after two weeks with a brand new set. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this place which is a shame because of the convenience. read more

They do a GRRET job with acrylics and shaping (I am pretty picky. Have found some places are awful at coffin, Stiletto shaping). Prices are very reasonable. I have been charged $10 more at other places for a less well done job. This is def my go to spot from now on. Only complaint is I wish they had a larger variety of gel polish options. read more

I tried this place for the first time tonight and I was very disappointed. I have never had such a horrible gel manicure. It started off awful when he went to push my cuticles back, he didn't soak them or put cuticle oil on he just shoved them back dry. After that he refused to cut my hangnails even when I pointed out the ones he missed, saying it's fine. Once he started with the gel polish his base coat was all over my fingers, and not only on my nail. When he applied the color it looked like I had painted them myself at home. I went to point out the areas I was not happy with and he said 'you're done.' Awful experience will not recommend to return to this salon. read more

I went in a little worried about getting gel since there are some reviews on here saying that theirs chipped quickly but I gave them a chance anyways because they are so talented at nail art designs. The guy who answered the phone is the same one who did the designs on my nails which is all I stopped by for. I had gone somewhere else to get my nails done so I already had a new acrylic full set on. I just did not like the designs from the other place. So I stopped by here to have the designs and nail polish redone similarly yet better. The guy who helped me did not give me his name. He was rude on the phone and during my service with him. He asked why I went somewhere else to begin with. I explained that I'm not from here and I did not know about this nail salon. I don't have to explain myself but I was kind enough to. I told him I wanted to keep my hands under the heated lights longer for the gel to dry. He told me that he does this every day for his job and knows what he's doing. I obviously know that he does this for a living if I'm paying him to do it. He told me this after asking me how often I get my nails done. I told him I get my nails done whenever they need to be done depending on how long they last. I watched and listened to how he greeted the customers that were coming in as he did my nails. He was very short with them and not customer friendly. Two of them even walked out after he spoke to them. I don't care if they claim to specialize in designs (that they don't even have a display of examples for).
