I've come here on and off for at least 10 years. Back in the day, they used to do my pink and whites. I had to get rid of my nails because of work but they always did a beautiful job. Now, I'll stop in for a pedicure. They just got new chairs and they're very comfortable. Everyone always does a great job. On my last visit, my nail tech checked to make sure I liked the polish color before continuing. They also made sure that they weren't hurting me while they were working magic on my toes. The quality of the work is top-notch, the service is quick, and it's always easy to get an appointment, even on short notice. I used to just walk in and get whoever I get, but I had a few others who, like anywhere, that I probably wouldn't book with again either because of skill or personality. Susan the nail tech was very nice and did an ok job. However, they didn't have an antifungal in the salon which is extremely odd. Also, they over charged me for my service by $14. Their pricing online shows $26 for acrylic fill and $5 for gel top coat. I was charged $30 for the fill and $15 for gel top coat. The person who takes the payment didn't seem to know the pricing nor care when I told her it was wrong- they charged me $45 for a service that should have been $31. An entire hour to myself?! This calls for a pedicure! I found myself in the area with a spare hour and no kids and decided to do a walk in pedicure at this salon. Their check in / greeting area is separate from the salon which I thought was wonderful. You don't disturb anyone and no one stares at you! My nail lady immediately told me that she thought the color I choose was too light. Nothing was going to keep me from having a relaxing hour to myself, so I went ahead and let her choose a color for me. Poor quality, unprofessional. Would not recommend. Nail chipped next day. Nail tech had amateur skills and did not appropriately place base coat, color coats and top coat. Cuticles were also awful and no cuticle oil applied. My return to fix chipped nail was met with a grumbly nail tech who was in a rush and did a rushed job streaking the color with top coat. My husband's pedi still left him with cracked toes that were clearly not properly buffed and polished. read more

Always a good time. You can be certain it's busy, but Andrew at the front counter is awesome at fitting you in and making you feel like a priority. The owners are very helpful which you don't typically see in most shops. However, both spouses are licensed nail technicians. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. Prices are competitive. They do specialty nail extensions like dip powder and ombre but make an appointment for sure. Waxing is available, and there's a lash shop right next door if you're into that as well. Free wine or water is available. Give them a try and tell them Tam referred you. Yes, they are open on Labor Day 2020! Very fast, efficient front desk and organized. You sign a waiver on entry with sanitized pen, they take your temperature, and ask you to sanitize your hands. They have 22 spa pedicure chairs and 12 manicure stations (that I saw) We had no problem getting 2 pedicures last minute on a holiday with Jill and Ave, I would recommend them both. Kind and friendly without talking your ear off. Detailed, yet efficient with your time. Prices were fair and better than the local average. I will absolutely be back to see Jill! read more

My GEL POLISH started chipping after 1 1/2 days. Only reason im giving 3 stars is my mother and I got our nails done at the same time and hers turned out okay, no chipping issues. Nail Perfection and Spa is one of the few places that I'm a regular. I live in Fairway, so this conveniently placed salon has always been the obvious choice. I've seen many things come and go from this location over the years and Nail Perfection and Spa has definitely held its ground the longest. I hope that it will continue to do so, but i'm not too worried because literally every single time I go in there, be it on a weekend or a weekday during the slowest times of the year, it is filled with customers. Normally I would complain about price, but the prices here are reasonable and worth what you're getting. The stylists talk with you and make sure you have an enjoyable experience. If for some reason you aren't happy with something, I'm sure they would accommodate. It's great to see a family owned business thriving in this area and it's a pretty special thing that so many people continue to come back, have certain people they prefer, and show the staff so much love. I've gone to Nail Perfection & Spa over a year now for pedicures. I make an appt every time and they get me right in - never a wait time. I recently had a great experience with Xumi. She did so good on asking if I liked the color and asked if I was happy with the service before leaving. I go here for pedicures, but I have gotten my nails done here before. I will say it is a hit or miss with who you get, but overall, I will say communicate with your nail tech if you don't like the shape, or how they are turning out during service. I hated the color and shape that I asked for once - and they redid all my nails and I left happy! Communication is key - they are good about making sure you are satisfied! read more

Let me start off by saying I HATE leaving bad reviews but the complete lack of professionalism and the pain I'm in three days after services is unacceptable, hoping by leaving a review the management might actually do something to prevent this from happening again in the future. This has been my preferred salon for YEARS (even had my wedding party and bridal nails done here!), there are definitely a couple amazing tech rockstars here, however, I usually do a walk in because of my unpredictable schedule. Aside from the few stellar staff (mike/apc) it's been REAL hit and miss ranging from gossip and distraction to (now) bodily harm. I came with my mom on Friday 3/17 around 330. My technician cut my toe and I yelped, she said "oh did that hurt?" And kept going. It was BLEEDING and still hurts to put shoes on 3 days later, so yeah, it hurt (picture attached of the cut) Then to the massage piece (which lbh, 60% of the reason I go for pedis and 100% why I spring for the deluxe)....a NIGHTMARE. She more like scratched me with her razor sharp pointed claw manicure than massaged (see attached picture for reference...pardon the stubble). My legs were, and still are, in pain. Then I noted there was still polish from my last pedi on a few toes and she instantly snapped that she would "get to it." After all was said and done I wanted to bolt out the door before I started crying. My 3 year old had chemo the day before and my mom was treating me to this because I'm really struggling. I didn't even care if the polish got screwed up (that's how you know it's BAD). As soon as the girl was done she didn't put the paper between my toes, barely asked if I needed flip flops, then booked it to an empty chair to stare at her phone. Finally I left to go to the car while my mom paid, she said they asked how everything was and she let them know I had visible marks on my legs from the techs nails and they said "sorry about that" and took her money (about $100) Needless to say, not the self care I needed and hoped to receive when returning to this tried and true. We will NOT be returning here and I hope others follow suit until they get better staffing and take customer concerns more seriously. read more

Booked pedi and dip manicure for 3. Explained it was for the beginning of a small bachelorette party. The person on the phone was awesome and made arrangements we could come in at noon. Arrived and were not set together....one was in a completely different room. My technician was awesome, friendly, very customer focused. My friends left b4 me as they were seated first..... I get home, change clothes, relax for 2 hours.....get dressed for the night out.....get home 5 hours later and my sock is stuck to my big toe, polish is a mess. Wedding is the next day, no time to get it fixed.... Come Tuesday (3 days later) the top coat on the manicure is schluffing off of my index finger. $81 plus tip and less than a week later will need to get everything fixed or redone. Both of the girls with me have had issues with the work as well.....will not recommend. Had better luck at Walmart.... So disappointed in the experience. read more

I have no clue why... she was rushing and sloppy during the whole process saying she will fix later .. yes I know ... and then I was asking about these two different blues and she's like don't to ask me it's your nails not mine lol OK! The shape isn't how want it but that's because instead of taking her time and doing it right throughout the whole process she was "fixing it later" they are shorter than I asked and still cost $60 !!!!!! These should not cost $60, 50 sure cause it's no chip . I get up to go pay and she's whispering with the front counter girl and the girl looked at me like obvious. I paid 71 dollars for a manicure that is bumpy and uneven. There is gel polish on my skin, and I was left with a top coat that was not fully cured. The length of my nails are uneven and the process was rushed. My cuticles were not pushed back and no prep was done to my nails except filing. One of my nails was filed so far down it burned to put the products on for the rest of my manicure. Not only this, but I paid 71 dollars for a set that took 40 MINUTES. I switched from going to Polished on 12th and Main in downtown KCMO to here after my sister recommended it. I've been coming here for about 3 months now and LOVE it. I always make an appointment with Vanti and he always makes my nails look like they came from an Instagram post. I recommend making an appointment ahead of time because this place is always very very busy and the wait for walk in time can vary greatly; the first time I went in as a walk in and waited about 30 minutes before I was attended which wasn't a big deal to me as I was in no hurry. Regardless of the busy-ness, Austin and Andrew and the nail techs provide great customer service and make me feel welcomed and like a valued customer. Two of them broke within days due to the fact that the fake nail and real nail were very poorly attached, it broke off right at the intersection and you can completely feel the separation between fake and real nail on every other nail. I booked a gel mani and regular pedi and was very happy with the results. Searching for the perfect place for a good mani can be painful, lucky for me I found Nail Perfection. First impression, they seem to be unorganized. First stop was the pedicure area, this area was crowded by the chairs and staff, each customer was side by side. The staff seemed to get lost trying to navigate. They offer a variety of complimentary drinks to make your experience more pleasurable. Along the drinks they offer is white and red wine!!! My basic pedi was very nice, it was relaxing and the massage longer than I've experienced at other salons. No complaints here! The manicure area is not as crowded, each station was equipped with two gel lamps. I've gone to places that only have one lamp per station and this delays the time your mani takes since you have to be switching hands. It seemed strange to me that the final top coat for the gel mani burned while under the lamp. I asked why this was and they said that this happens. It was the first time it had happened to me, the pain is not extreme it's just shocking at first. They offer more color options than I had time to sort thru, however the staff was knowledgeable and provided suggestions about colors or maintenance. There are things they could improve about such as better organization and perhaps expanding to a larger place but those things are not that significant to me when in return you get excellent service and stellar mani/pedi.
