Their nails look so effortless and sloppy, to me I feel like that only depends on WHO you get your nails done by. My mom has never had any bad experience with sky or Kim, but me personally I've had a couple bad experiences with the other employees there, I've gotten French tips done twice and both time my nails are crooked or just look plain out bad. Most of the time the nails come out crooked and sloppy looking. I do not recommend. read more

Several technicians available so generally they can work you in quickly even without an appointment. Not the cheapest however services are good! Several of the technicians have been there for a while which I think shows that the place is ran well. The owner has always been when I have stopped in. They have multiple chairs and seats to have groups if that is your preference. It can get loud depending on time of day, week and amount of traffic. Clean too! read more

Recently received a pedicure during a very very busy time. Every chair used and several people were waiting. I got in pretty fast! Maybe waited 5 minutes after my reservation! The service was very friendly but not too friendly that I couldn't read my book peacefully. It isn't the best gel pedicure I've ever received but I got in promptly and was treated well. they fully messed up my two 10 years old kids that paid with their own money. They had completely gave them the wrong color and then they said they were done with crust glue all around their cuticles. They had the audacity to rip the card out of their hands. and then said oh well this card is fake. You can't use it. Are you sure even real and trying to tell my kids that they were using a fake card. eventually, we were able to pay but then they charged us 75 each when it was supposed to be 60 each so they made us pay $30 more and then made us do a tip. they all completely rude The worst service I've ever seen and we come there before and I'm telling you they took advantage of these 10-year-old girls just to make profit and all this stuff this was horrible. The vibe was completely off. They were very secretive. You can kind of know that they were talking horrible about us. It was horrible service. Me and my friends went to get our nails done and my friends looked amazing! Mine on the other hand.. the lady pictured below was rude, didn't do the shape I asked for and repeatedly asked her to square them and she acted annoyed. Overall I think their prices are decent and if you make an appointment you are normally seated within the first five minutes of getting there. I have visited oasis nail salon about three or four times in the last six months. The quality of the work they do definitely varies depending on who does your nails. I have had two technicians who I thought seemed very judgemental and were clearly not interested in doing my nails and talking about me throughout the process. Today I paid $50 for black French tip dip nails and I do not think the quality was worth the price. You can see in multiple areas on my nails where the black dipping powder got mixed with the clear dipping powder and there are a ton of bubbles in the clear area and instead of fixing it they sent me home with my nails looking crazy. I am going to find a new salon the next time I get my nails done instead of wasting my money again read more

I am not sure what dip they use, but it is the poorest quality. I could overlook the rudeness of the staff if they had a quality product, but that is not the case. Like this place before. Had a really bad time with Lisa this time. She is very nice but she mutilated my nails. They hurt really bad. She left way to much space on the sides without color and compensated by filing the crap out of them. Two nails got too much red glitter and she tried to fix it by filing them down but the red sparkles turned silver. So she put even more red sparkles back to cover up the silver. In the end the red is uneven. The paint is crazy thick. And my nails look like they are bad press ons not part of my hand. I'm nervous to go have them taken off because my nails will look disgusting underneath. The manager reached out and I really appreciate that. Also my nails only hurt for 2 days. I did have a really good experience here when we visited prior to my brothers wedding so I am going to adjust my review to cover both experiences. read more

This a go to spot for me usually. They're quick but careful to do a great job. Today I got a basic spa pedicure and an eye brow wax. The spa pedicure wasn't so "spa" as my chair didn't work and I even let the employee know before she started. I was stuck with no chair massage. The leg message definitely made up for it though, she spent a great time massaging them. She did however answer her phone twice during my pedicure without an apology. I didn't think that was very professional. My eyebrow wax was quick and it looks great! The only other thing I noticed today was an employee sound asleep in the pedicure chairs. After years of going in and sending friends and family, I am totally fed up! I used to get great service and felt great leaving knowing my nails and toes were perfect but not for the last full year. I take my Mom in wirh me, she is up in age, so this is a big outing for her, she had always enjoyed this "pampering" but for the last several visits she would pick a color and she never got the color she picked but it looked ok so she just would ask for different next time, which for the price was a bit ridiculous but this last time in she asked specifically for a pink color but when she was finished she had a copper color on her toes (again!!!!) And a totally different pink that didn't match and wasn't even close to what we had asked for....All of the people were just standing around so it wasn't a time issue, since my Mom is elderly she was just ripped off I tip quite well so I am just finding a new place to have our services done that we actually pay for and will not treat us as 2nd class....This was a very hard choice because change after years of going and trying to develop relationships are important but this was just ridiculous 2 different colors and was told how "pretty" it was....I will tell everyone I know about the lack of service that is happening now....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I've been coming to this salon regularly every two weeks for my manis and pedis since I moved to the KC area about a year ago. My first few experiences were very good, but as I started visiting more and more, a couple of the techs were rough with me and I've left with cuts here and there, but I haven't said anything because I've been pretty satisfied overall with their work and as such, continued to make the drive from midtown KCMO. They're also pretty good about getting me in, even last minute. I finally found a regular lady here and loved everything about how she did my nails, but she's been traveling for the last few months and since then, my experiences have gone progressively downhill. (It's also worth noting that when getting a mani/pedi, every other salon I've been to works on both at the same time. This place makes you get them one by one so the appointments take much longer.) The final straw for me was my last visit. A few of my fingers are crooked and I try to account for this by clipping and filing my nails to my liking before I go in. But sometimes after my nails have been manicured and shaped, I ask them to adjust the filing a bit to the slant of those crooked fingers - it's never more than 2 or 3 fingers and sometimes none at all. I'm sure most ladies know the feeling of being stuck with a manicure for two weeks and having a few nails that just aren't quite right. My regular tech never had a problem and if she couldn't see what I was seeing would happily volunteer to hand me the file so I could adjust. Well this last visit, when I asked the tech to adjust ONE finger, she started yelling to other techs across the salon in Vietnamese and pointing at my hand. Trying not to start trouble, I ignored it and said "Hey it's no problem, can I just see the file?" She refused, started shaping my nail again, but only made it more slanted. When I said it still wasn't right, she started yelling across the salon in Vietnamese again. Finally, another lady came over and said "I'll do the shaping for you once she's done with your manicure. The problem is you check the shape of every single nail." I said that she asked me to check the shape and I did, that I asked for one adjustment, and this has never been a problem. Still trying brush this all off, I started to make conversation with another tech. I'd found out this tech was related to the tech who had done my nails during my previous visit, so I mentioned it. The tech replied "Yeah, so next time she does your nails, go easy on her. There's no need to check every single nail," and proceeded to mock me by looking at his hands. Adjusting the shape on even 4 nails takes 45 seconds, maybe a minute. I really can't understand why this was such an ordeal and why I was treated this way. I'm a regular, I'm nice to the techs, I tip decently, and I've even come in with family and friends on various occasions, but I will not continue to hand over my hard-earned money to be chastised, gossiped about, and disrespected right under my nose. I'm giving 2 stars because for the most part, I've been happy with the work done here, but the service is beyond sub-par. read more

I really like this nail salon, I go here often to get my nails done. I have not had a pedicure in awhile so I called my mom and asked her to meet me there. We had an appointment at 5:15 and didn't have to wait at all. I always love the way my nails look and they usually always last two weeks, I get gel, even working a retail job. I remember why I never get my pedicures there though. The ladies who usually just do pedicures and not finger nails are not as good painting and it usually only last 10-15 minutes. This time my toes nails look like my niece painted them and she only spend 10 minutes and did not massage at all. If I'm getting a pedicure I for sure want my legs rub for a solid 10 minutes. If they focused as much as they do on waxing and nails on their pedicures this spot would be a 5/5. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! My daughter just has the worst service. She was texting me about the abuse in real time! I told her to leave immediately. She stayed and regrets it. Rude nail tech name Thao. No greeting. The first thing he did was tell her the price of everything, which INCLUDED a pedi--as if she could not or would not pay. I went today, 9/18/2021, to get my nails done with a friend of mine. I decided to get a shellac manicure. I was very disappointed when three different nail techs pressured me to get dip nails instead of shellac explaining how it was "Better and cheaper". Two separate techs who were not even working on my nails came to try and convince me to change my mind. I had great service otherwise, but never have I ever been to a nail salon and been pressured into getting a certain kind of polish, or in this case dip. They were pushy and not nice about it. I could hear the three of them having a conversation in their native language and kept hearing the words "dip" and "shellac" and knew they were talking about my personal decision. Very disappointed. Hi, I went to get my nails done 2 weeks ago (dip powder) and 5 of my nails have already chipped off/ have cracks in them. I have been to multiple nail salons and the employees have put a gel coat over the dip and they always lasted 5 weeks or more. I am very unhappy as the young man that did my nails snapped at me multiple times telling me to, "hold still" and told me when I came back from washing my hands that I needed to "scrub them harder". I told him I would do it again and he snapped and told me "no" while shaking his head. He also had my hands soaking in acetone for over 15 minutes and showed frustration as my current dip nails were not coming off. This was very unprofessional behavior. I had a gift card for here, the service is okay at best. I was not welcomed when I walked in. I was really rushed to pick a color... he stood next to me, watched, and pointed at random colors saying this is cute. I did not get my cuticles trimmed. The dip was not evenly rounded, I have a couple very FLAT spots. While he was doing my nails I heard THREE phone calls where the call taker had to tell the person on the other end that they can come back in and get it fixed. I love the dip I chose but it was so sloppy I had to peel a lot off my skin. He attempted to put cuticle oil on at the end but I looked before I "rubbed it in" and there was nothing on my cuticles. No hand massage. And the hand washing station smelt like sulfur. On top of it all, I had worked a long day and I fully relax when I get my nails done... but this guy looks up at me and says "You look tired." His only tip was about to be "How to be polite to paying customers 101" but I held my tongue. He rushed and did 1/3 way decent job. But hey, it was the cheap so I guess you get what you pay for and the dip covers the mistakes pretty well. read more

Very clean, VERY busy and very nice. I had a good manicure and liked the girl that did it but it was just the average $35 gel manicure. I HATE the color that I picked and because I got convinced that it wasn't sparkly enough, I feel like it's extremely thick and I'm just going to have to put up with it for 2 weeks so I don't feel like I wasted money. The crowd that frequents here is extremely interesting... One girl and her friend seriously smelled like they had smoked pot in their car and come in to get a pedicure, a little odd but to each their own. They have a ton of colors and lots of gel polishes so it's a good place if you're picky with polish choices. Every time I have scheduled an appointment it is never on time. One time I waited a full hour after my scheduled time. My dip powder cracked after 3 days so when I went back in for them to fix it they said it was my fault and literally shooed me away when I was finished.
