Had a fill and a pedicure today and just wanted to share. I had a full knee replacement three weeks ago so I wasn't sure how comfortable it would be. Kevin did my pedicure and Tina did my fill. Not only did they both do a fantastic job, they also stayed aware of my knee and just made sure I was comfortable. Both my thumbs had bumps on the polish and it was not totally removed and fixed to be smooth. It would have looked better if I would've just painted my nails myself. They honestly look like I did them myself and for $60.. that's very disappointing. Nailtoepia is a complete hit or miss spot. You really have to get the right person. I called to ask if I could come in for a pedicure "right now", and they said yes come on in. I was waiting in the chair for 20 mins before I asked how much longer. "Almost your turn" he said. After I told him I was in a hurry, he got someone over right away. I told the girl I needed to leave in 20 mins, and she gave me a quick pedicure. She did a great job in the short time and my toes looked good. The last time I was there though, my pedi looked like my 6 year old painted my toes, haha! So my recommendation is to be very clear if you have a time limitation, and check your nails as they are doing it, and ask them to fix them if necessary. I use to love this place! The new receptionist is nice but does not clean very well at all as far as pedicure stations. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and am particular about sanitation. Big no no! After every pedicure, the jets should be taken out and apart, disinfected and sanitized, along with the bowl, chair and armrests. I'm conscious that most people feel however they feel as far as Covid but I feel that the social distancing should still take place. I had to request to move because she was sitting everyone close together even though there was enough space to spread us out. Also, the services are really quick, which I overstand because it gets quite busy. I would just like to enjoy my pedicures. It's something that I really treat myself with. This is my only complaint. It must've been my lucky day because Steven was available and he pulled out the CUTEST nail designs I'd ever had. Now I'm a regular, every 3 weeks. Plus it's cute as heck in there too! There was LOTS of air circulation so it did not smell like your typical nail salon whatsoever. For maximum efficiency, they did my nails and toes at the same time, which I wasn't mad about. $25 for pedicure and $35 for gel white tips! For what it's worth, this is the FIRST salon I've ever been to to not comment on my race or ask, "What are you?". This alone, will have me coming back time and time again. Worst experience ever. Skinny guy with tattoos all over arms was rude right off the bat. He couldn't do the design I asked and didn't even want to give me the length I asked for so I just said if it's easier to just do a French tip. Lines were not smooth and work was sloppy. I asked if he can make them smooth and he gave me a dead look and told me he wasn't done and said something to the lady next to him and he got up and left and she had to finish his work. Turns out the store owner was the one helping me so my fiancé followed up with him as to a refund for the way I was treated and he told my fiancé that not all customers are right and to get the f**k out of his store. My daughter had a new set of gel nails put on today. She ended up with a huge cut on her cuticle that bled during the whole manicure. They polished her nail and blood got in the polish on her finger and on the brush that went back into the bottle! Then the design was not done professionally. They kept asking her if it was okay but 4 other employees were leaning in watching and making fun so she was too shy to say no. THEN the machine that sets the polish died, and the employee didn't "realize" they were still wet and wiped them down with the cotton. I tried a different one and they got cuticle eraser all over my leg and foot which a most my skin where it was. it happened twice and so I never go back however I needed to get my nails done so I went here since it was only 6 minutes from my house. Let me tell you what I have a nail tech up north that I have been faithful to for over a decade almost two decades now. However I don't want to drive over an hour to get to her and I have finally found a place I can go. Trish is a nail goddess. Always on point. I come in usually after work in the evening without an appointment and never have to wait longer than 15 mins. All the staff is super talented you can't go wrong with any of them. I get gel acrylics on my hands and gel polish on my toes. My toes last so long I only get them done monthly. I do my fingers with designs usually and stones never fall off and last a complete two weeks and like clockwork I get them done again. Try the glamorous pedicure! We set up appointments for myself and my friends to get pedicures and manicures. We arrived on time and only half of us were served. When questioned, the manager was extremely rude saying we didn't make appointments correctly. When I referred him back to his calendar he quickly ate his words because he could see we did and they messed up. My niece pays and tips her then takes a seat to wait for me. I will say that I have no complaints about the manicure I received. My technician was excellent (NyEsha). When we got in the car, my niece said she would not return because her nails was not done right and her technician was extremely rude. I told her that I noticed her attitude and was very glad I didn't have her because it would not have ended so calmly. I insisted that she go back in to the salon and have them correct the problem(S). When we went back in, two technicians approached us (NyEsha) being one of them. I explained what was going on. She looked at her nails and then walked away. Not a word was said but she had a look on her face portraying "Oh No"! The second tech looked at them and told her to have a seat and she would correct them. She began filing her nails but also called the original tech and explained that her customer was not satisfied with the manicure. She stated that she was filing them as they spoke. The tech said she would return to finish (she had left the premises). By this time there were several customers in the salon. All eyes were on my niece and I. The tech then rushes into the salon stomping with plenty of attitude, ready to argue. Takes over and then ask very rudely Why didn't you say you was not satisfied"? I interrupted and stated "She should not have too. You as a professional could see that they were not correct. If your colleagues saw it, then so did you". She slathered top coat on her nails and then ask my niece if that was okay. My niece said yes but only because once again all eyes were on us. We finally left. When I got home, I called the salon to speak to the manager. He was put on. He too comes to the phone very rude. Not professional nor customer friendly at all. I asked his name and he said "Tim". I explained what happened. He asked what did I want to correct the situation. I informed him that I had no problem other that embarrassment so I was not looking for anything. I was satisfied. My niece is the one. I explained that she was on fall break from a university and was leaving in a few hours, so I requested that she return during the holidays and they redo her manicure. Tim said, "Now you want free service and for me to fire my technician". I told him I did not say anything about firing anyone (which I didn't). That's when he said, "There are two sides to every story and I will lose a customer before I lose a technician. I stand with my technicians all the time". I informed him that he didn't loose one customer, he has lost two. He (Tim) said "Good"!!! NaulToepia will NOT get a penny from us ever again. Trust me they have been reported to the BBB and social media. There are several nail salons you will pass to get to them. Stop! I have found my new go-to for all-things nails! We made an appointment to have mani/pedis done on a Saturday morning. It was busy, and we had to wait a little bit to be seated, but it was worth it. The salon is big and airy, and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed a pedicure and splurged for gel polish to avoid having issues putting our shoes on (it was almost zero degrees outside and windy, so walking in/out in flip flops was out of the question). We then moved over to have gel manis done. I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by the selection of colors they had in the gel polish. And I am SO happy with the end result. I've had gel manicures that peel within days, but this one is going strong almost a week later. The technician used two coats of the base and then two costs of the color with a top coat - so the end result is a sturdy nail with shiny, gorgeous color. I noticed that NailToepia offered dip nails, which was a godsend because it was what i was used to, so i headed there! The space is beautiful! It was clean and inviting, and had a great vibe because of the music that was playing. I got a pedicure and a set of dip nails, and both technicians were great, friendly, and good at their craft! I used to go to this place all the time, but the management & service is horrible. The management doesn't listen and blames the customer for the poor service the technicians provide. I was literally yelled at for a mistake they made. I booked an appointment to have Ombre dipped nails but was put with a person who didn't know how to do it (actual manager). Then he proceeded to scold me for something they messed up on. Plus the quality on the pedicure & dip nail was crap. Wal-Mart could've done a better job. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.
