In order to reduce the very high prices quoted, I signed up for the Hopkins Dental Plan and paid the $400. The Plan included reduced pricing and two cleanings per year. I had a cleaning done in September 2022, then I made an appointment for a second cleaning in April 2023. About one hour prior to that appointment I received a phone call at home, advising me that this cleaning would be deep tissue at an additional cost of $960; of course, I was offended since I had never agreed to their deep tissue program. I informed their representative that I would not make the appointment, since I just wanted the standard cleaning covered by the Plan. Subsequently, I decided that HDH was not the right practice for me and demanded that $200 (for the second cleaning) be refunded to me. HDH refused this reasonable request. I would not recommend Hopkins Dental Health to anyone. From my first visit it seemed to me that the goal of HDH was to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. I've been having dental treatment for years and their services are seriously overpriced. Also, on my first visit a staff member openly badmouthed the quality of work done by my previous DDS, a highly respected local dentist. UNPROFESSIONAL! Dealing with Mitchell Hopkins/Hopkins Dental Health was a very negative experience.
