I had a terrible experience at this Walgreens pharmacy location. Arrived at 1:30 pm, only to be told they were taking a lunch break and wouldn't be back until 2:00 pm. I returned at 2:00 pm and found a line of eight people waiting with only one person at the register. The wait was incredibly long, and the lack of adequate staffing was evident. This was by far some of the worst customer service I've encountered--Walgreens needs to do better. I won't be coming back to this location if they can't get their staffing in order. read more

This pharmacy had struggled during the past year with understaffing and longer than normal order fill times, but more recently I've noticed that things have improved quite a bit. Lines have gotten shorter, refills are ready sooner, etc. And several times during the past few months, the pharmacy staff has been VERY helpful with resolving some unusual situations. I took my sick child to this Walgreens at 75th and Wornall in KCMO thinking it was a CVS minute clinic (which is right across the street). We sat outside the "CareNow" door for 20 minutes while the pharmacist, pharmacist assistant and multiple Walgreens employees walked past us numerous times. When I finally asked about being seen, I was told (very rudely) I was at the wrong store. This was my mistake. However, I am flabbergasted that these individuals didn't take a second to ask if we needed anything as we sat outside the "CareNow" door while my son cried about "when is it our turn, my throat hurts so bad" while very obviously being in the wrong store. read more

The pharmacy here is terrible, always understaffed, half the time you have to go through the drive through and you don't realize until you walk all the way to the back and see the metal shutters down, the staff needs to be ran through the process because after spending an hour in line the woman didn't know how to add a coupon onto the insurance and said for me to drive back to the end of the line and she'd try to find it so she could apply it but recommended going to another location that's more knowledgeable on the system. I typically drive to Johnson county to use any pharmacy because it's not everybody from a 8 week course at pinnacle career institute getting thrown into a pharmacy tech job because of the shortage. read more

My husband and I went to this pharmacy to get our Covid shots after our appointments were canceled by CVS because they ran out. They were extremely busy, but the employees and pharmacists were very patient with all customers, taking their time to make sure everyone felt valued. Pheonna administered our shots. She was very kind and answered our questions without making us feel rushed. Pheonna was efficient and thoughtful, making us feel comfortable in our decision to get vaccinated. read more

Do Not get your prescriptions here! When I went in to pick one up. There was a line of complaining customers. The woman I stood behind said she had been waiting for 45 mins. A woman standing st the counter was yelling that her cab was going to leave her. I just walked out. The next day, I tried to call them to move my script to a different location. I was on hold for 45 minutes before I gave up. The onhold computer said I was number 2 in line. Clearly not true. Go anywhere other than this location. Not worth you time. Better than some Walgreens I've been to. No staff members walking around greeting us or anything, and it could definitely use some updated lighting and freshening up of displays, but at the checkout they were very nice. I was super impressed with their huge cosmetics section. They have a bigger selection of both NYX and Soap & Glory than even Target does- wow! My daughter is obsessed with NYX products, so I'll definitely be back here to get her gifts- I'm already thinking stocking stuffers even though it's only August... There's also 2 Redbox DVD rental machines outside this Walgreens, which is nice. read more

This is probably by far the worse Walgreens location I've ever dealt with, expect to wait DAYS for your prescription to be filled, don't expect to get anyone on the phone.. and expect a very long line when you ultimately have to go inside because the drive thru is closed.. and if Walgreens didn't under pay their pharmacy techs, there wouldn't be an employee shortage at a majority of Walgreens locations.. The Walgreens Pharmacy has never been good but it has become terrible! I call in a refill, it says I can pick it up the next day, and when I go in they have no clue as to what is going on. Their excuse is always " we are short staffed!" Well, hire some people! They have unbelievably poor service and will NEVER answer their phone so you cannot ever find out anything about your prescription status. I want to acknowledge the high quality customer service I got from the Pharmacist October 9, 2023. I didn't get the right spelling of her name (Yanea?) , but she went above and beyond to help me. She was able to get me vaccinations before I went on a trip even though my insurance denied and she found me a discount! I have been trying to get my birth control refilled at this Walgreens for 2 weeks, they had to order it in for me which is fine, but they lied and told me they ordered it twice and never did, and I didn't get my birth control on time. Every month I drop off my rx which is a controlled Walgreens says they are 'working on it ' when I pick it up days later they are 'out of stock.' It has been worked on since 8 am on 10/16 it's 10/19 after an hour in the drive through line and 2 hours on hold on your phone and after going without meds for three days you think your pharmacist can order it tomorrow. What have you been doing since Monday? That means I'm waiting at least 2-4 days for meds if I'm lucky. I'm constantly going a week without meds. I've absolutely had it with all your pharmacies. You force me to use certain pharmacies. I'm escalating this with my employer! Same story when I used your forced CVS Pharmacies. CVS Caremark PBM is an absolute racket!. It's not out of stock when I pick it up I honestly think you order it when I come to pick it up. Your tyrannical tactics must be stopped!!! It's sickening what you are doing to the public that pays for the premiums to be treated like this. I don't blame drug shortages SHAME ON YOU CVS/Caremark and your PBM vertically integrated monopolies. 75th and wornall Walgreens is horrific and the 79th and State line cvs. I finally had peace at Hyvee and that's not in your network! Really, no stars. Or five negative stars. I had an 8:00 am appointment for two vaccines. The store opens at 8. I arrived at 8:02, walked back to the pharmacy. The sign at clinic said "closed." I waited at pharmacy counter for a minute or two until the pharmacy guy came. He said to try signing in at a kiosk for my appointment. I did. I waited. Then the clinic person finally came out and told me I was late for my appointment and she wouldn't give my the vaccinations. It was 8:07 by this time. Apparently I had to have finished signing in by 8:05. Didn't matter that no one was on duty at the desk to help me figure out the system. Never setting foot in that store again. PS, I went across to the CVS where they gave me the two vaccinations plus one for shingles that Walgreens didn't even have. read more

DO NOT USE THIS TAKE CARE CLINIC, IT IS A SCAM. I went in to be treated and was given four days worth of medication on one medicine and two weeks for the other. I did not realize that when I left and called back, I was told if I was not better to come back. If I wanted to be treated half way I would have bought some stuff off the shelf. I have used many walk in clinics before and been very satisfied. I called to make a complaint and the person that called me back was every worse to speak with. Since basically all Walgreens from Oregon to Maryland are the same, I'm basing this review on staff and hours. First off, this place is only open until 10. Lame. Second, when I ran in during the crazy winter wind storm last week at 9:50 the staff was really pushy about the store closing at 10. Ok, I understand that you want to go home, I've worked retail too, but I needed drugs for two sick adults and a sick toddler. Please have compassion, you work at a drugstore. Also, when it's super windy and blowing snow, it'd be nice if you would let your customers put their gloves and hat on before leaving the store. I totally get that you want to lock up, but I walked here. Again, a little kindness goes a long way. My receipt was timed at 10:03, so I really didn't keep you that late. I'm also a little disturbed at the huge bold signs on the refrigerated food cases that emphasize their acceptance of food stamps. Really, the junk food that is sold here should not be going in anyone's body. Gross. Otherwise like I said before it's the same as all other Walgreens- cosmetics, batteries, office supplies, etc. Just don't expect to get them after 10 p.m. read more

Such as: Reese's Cup Elvis edition (PB and banana)- searched the world over for this once in a lifetime phenomenon and only found it here. (no longer available, limited special edition). Burt's Bees orange oil face cleanser. (now its easy to find). Shea moisture frankincense and myrrh soap. I tried to use their public bathroom out of desperation and it was keycoded.:( read more

Very very poor service at the photo booth!! And the photo booth manager does not seem to know the words 'please', 'sorry' and 'thank you' besides the lack of technical knowledge too. I went to the Walgreens on 75th Wornall yesterday (10/11/2016) night at 17:45 and had to ask for the service of the employee there to click and print out my passport size photos (for my Passport). I waited for 15 mins after the phone call for the the photo booth manager. She came in with a bowl of food, her dinner. When I asked for my picture taken and photos printed, she sighed visibly and did her job in a very reluctantly. She wanted her dinner rather than her customer. Then she took the picture in a very poor light condition and said she would edit it before printing it out. After a couple of botched attempts, she then gave me a printout of two photos which looked anything but me!! These photos were to be sent to the government paperwork and you know how picky they are, so I refused to accept those prints. She then curtly said, 'I need to have my dinner, I cannot redo this process now, I will if you come back in 15 mins'. No 'please', 'sorry' or 'thank you'!! Walgreens must train its employees better. The "Prepay, Skip the Line" with Walgreens Express is a farce! You have to walk in to use it, which already means that it takes longer than the drive-thru. The pharmacy staff is completely incompetent and refuses to do simple functions like answer the phone. I had to wait over 20 minutes to get a prescription filled and then got home only to realize one of my two were filled. The doctor tried to resubmit the other prescription and couldn't submit it electronically for some reason and then when she tried to call she sat on hold for over 20 minutes before giving up. It's been 2 hours and I still have no medicine and no way to get any more. This is not the first time I've had to run around in circles because of the incompetence and complete unwillingness to help by their staff. Save yourself the hours of trouble and go to CVS. read more

Pharmacy has gotten HORRIBLE over the last year. I get my monthly prescription from them and they always fail to call me to let me know it's ready. I order it online (as I always have) and go to pick it up every month. In the beginning, they would call and let me know it was ready. They do not do that anymore. With how unreliable they are, I've started ordering my prescription a week in advance (to give them plenty of time), and this last time I went to pick it up (7 days after I ordered it), they hadn't even started on it! I've done multiple surveys saying I was dissatisfied and have never been re-contacted about my issues. They do not care and have not tried to do better or make it right. I will be switching to the CVS across the street. They always have my spouse's prescriptions done right away. read more

I have been using this Walgreens pharmacy for over two years basically for the convenience of the location. However, lately they pharmacy staff have been less than helpful. The girls behind the counter make displeased faces while on the phone with other customers. They have not helped me once find a pharmacy that has my prescription when they are out. They are out of my prescription every other month. It seems they only order 1 bottle of vitamins when I request it. The rest of the time I am calling other Walgreens in the area to see if they have it. When I go into this pharmacy the staff is scattered about like chickens with their heads cut off. Either they need more employees or they need better training especially in the area of customer service. I've witnessed too many time the employees being outright rude to other PAYING customers. I get to Walgreens they say it'll be another 10 minutes so I show up 20 minutes later and they said it's still another 10 minutes.
