This is a very busy, yet smaller Quik Trip near the Plaza in KCMO. Their kitchen is fast and the food is excellent-every time!! Ive been to many QT's and have had the pretzels personal pizza, taquitos, chicken bacon wrap, grilled cheese with chicken/bacon and it is all great as us the staff. My 5 yr old grandson has a peanut/tree nut allergy. QT staff has provided an allergen sheet due his safety. He gets the Parmesan pretzel ALOT. It's a relief to know he's eating food guaranteed to keep him healthy. read more

Quik Trip at 4317 MAIN STREET, KANSAS CITY, MO 64111 is the worst Quik Trip location in America. Employee service and facilitiy fall way short of what you come to expect from the Quik Trip brand. Do not waste your money at this particular location. The restrooms are outdated, smelly and often unavailable. There is this anomaly of a gun toting security guard in there that ruins the experience with their rude and unprofessional in-your-way presence. They act like they run the store, not the actual Quik Trip employees. This location gives me an unsafe and poorly managed vibe. Horrible QT location. AVOID. read more

By far THE BEST location I've been to ever. traveling from ATL to GA I've been to many different QuickTrips and nothing beats this one. I got a flat and drove to this location and their service is so amazing. I went in and asked Jackson for some help and with no hesitation, he helped honestly he allowed us to use his tools and literally came and changed our time for us. If i drove, I am sure my review of QT would be mean... because man oh man, the parking lot is always packed, you always have to fight for a gas pump, or speed dangerously around the tiny parking lot to beat some one to another spot! But... I'm a foot-traveller so I can't complain about that. until one of those impatient assholes hits me in the parking lot! I feel like the staff has downgraded over the past three years. When I first moved here, the staff was AMAZING! Knew me by name and everything. I felt like a local celebrity! But now the staff is just okay... oh well. This QuikTrip scores points for being a gas station in a gas desert, but that's about all the nice things I have to say about it. I drive miles out of the way to avoid it if I can because it gets so unbelievably cramped that it makes me claustrophobic. It's like it was built using the wrong dimensions, there's just no such thing as an easy in or easy out when I visit here. To top off the small gas island space, it takes forever if you get stuck behind a car trying to turn left out of here. Sometimes the crowd can lean towards the rougher crowd in my experience, and I just really don't enjoy going here for anything. read more

Like all QTs: excellent customer service, clean restrooms, in and out as quick as possible, they offer fruit near the counter (the only place I can eat healthy while traveling) This location has a QT Kitchen and my smoothies are always made to order ASAP and served with a smile. What's there not to love about QT in midtown? It is one of the few places in town that REALLY have a urban, big city feel. It is extremely diverse and always busy. It has a real city vibe! It's some of the best people watching you could hope for, yet I have never felt unsafe no matter what time of day or night that I'm there. The place is always clean, always quick and generally friendly. (though I can say, it used to be a bit more friendly and personable than it has for the last couple of years, but I can easily overlook that as it still seems to have some of the best customer service compared to most other retailers these days!!!) I realize that it can be crazy to get to a gas pump at times, but with how easy we have things in KC, I find it to be worth the time and the fight. I have always lived close to a QT and hope that that continues to be true. I think it's a fun part of our convenience culture that we live in, only the midtown location has a bit more grit! read more

Are you all trying to review QuickTrip, or the neighborhood? How does a place get a one star review simply because it gets busy at lunch, or because some dumb woman doesn't know how to drive? Seems kinda lame to me. Maybe they should have a velvet rope blocking off the entrance to the parking lot, so that people with ugly cars can't get in, or to make sure that everybody else that is trying to get gas isn't interrupting you while you try and get gas. I LOVE QuickTrip. I grew up with them in Wichita, and when i went to college at KU I missed them dearly. They are always clean (especially the bathrooms) and they are well lit, safe due to a regular police presence, and have a great selection. The parking lot at this location is always busy, but being the only gas station right off the Plaza will do that to you. The layout of the pumps is as good as you could ask for in the location. It accommodates as many people as possible without trying to cram in a ridiculous number. Plenty of room to move your car around, save those times when somebody is driving like an a-hole. The midtown Quiktrip is maybe the best convenience store I've ever been into. It's always clean. They're never out of the things I want. It's cheap. The people at the registers are damn near always friendly and efficient as hell. The main selling point? The speed of service at the registers. Quiktrip appears to have devised some sort of rush hour time travel device. I know it takes me just about 7 minutes exactly to get from home to work in the morning. I leave the house with 8 minutes to spare and I'm never late. It quite literally (Rob Lowe voice) takes me one sole minute to park, acquire a bottle of water, pay, and get back into my car and go. I know the employees are paid well and trained well and that's a good part of it. I also wonder sometimes if the register area looking like the bridge from the Star Trek Enterprise plays a part in things. Avoid buying gas during rush hours if you buy gas here. It's like a crappy game of musical chairs trying to get a pump. read more

I grew up in a far far away land where QuikTrip does not exist. Thus I have a strong affinity for it. It's clean. The layout is the same. The cashiers and employees are awesome at greeting you. Thus, it is against my religion to give a QT a bad review unless an employee got psycho with me or the place was just filthy (which never happens) I do agree though that this QT does have the worst parking on earth. Unfortunately, what does not help this location is the stupid huge ghetto just east of here with a bunch of hooligans that believe that they are entitled to anything and everything. I'm not a fan of this Quiktrip it has the advantage of being the gas station close to the Plaza so I can over look the fact that the parking lot is always over crowded and constantly inhabited by the worlds worst drivers. That being said, for a Quiktrip the foo here is always sub par of other Quiktrips, and it's always dirty in here. I can normally over look these things as long as the bathroom is clean and the attendants are not zombies. Sorry, but the bathrooms are always gross and the attendants are bottom of the barrel. On second thought, zombies might have more of a personality than the staff does. If I wasn't such a Quicktrip fan (and had another ga station to go to down here), I wouldn't stop here. If you decided you wanna stop here (or are almost out of gas) get in and get out of here as fast as possible, but watch your rear in the parking lot. read more

I frequent this QT often the customer service is always great and it's pretty clean. I always get coffee from the kitchen and this is where the customer service shines the most! Jake is such a great asset to this location and even more to the company. He always has a positive attitude and is genuinely a friendly guy. He takes an extra step to greet and say goodbyes to every customer no matter how busy he is. He's definitely the epitome of great customer service. I will continue to go out of my way and get coffee from Jake!!! read more

Ok; so there are ostensibly 321 (or close to) Quik Trips in the area, so I chose the "Main St." one 'cuz I have no idea which one I went to... Our friends - KCK natives - (we are not) hyped this place up for ages before we flew out here for a week away at the lake house. To be honest, I was thinking "seriously, a convenience store is getting you all hot and heavy??" I mean, they were tattooing Quik Trip on their foreheads they loved this place so much, and I was picturing a Chevron selling cigarettes. I gotta say, I was impressed. Not to the extent that I needed to write home about it - ok, so I guess I am, aren't I - but an interesting place indeed. Think 7-11 if it were everything you actually wanted in a 7-11, and none of the crap. You can buy nearly anything your convenient heart desires, and it will be available cheaply, spotlessly clean, and with a smile from a helpful staff member. Yep - at a gas station! Seriously: we stocked up on the drive out to the Lake with: * ice cream shakes * hot breakfast sandwiches * red bulls * bananas * warheads (we were being nostalgic) * 32 oz cokes * 3 Maxims (I was with all boys) Obviously, it is a health store to boot. It's packed, the drivers are a-holes and b-holes and it's frustrating. That aside, I don't think it's a horrible gas station and convenience store. It's not their fault that there isn't another gas station right across the street to handle the overflow! The employees here are nice and shoo away the creepers. I'm very impressed at how they can quickly distinguish between art school student and hobo - good job, guys. Their beer selection is just fine for a gas station, and I've never gotten sick off their food (a future heart attack might make me knock 'em down a star though.. those "grill" items are just future bypasses wrapped in corn). I would like to see this gas station explode in a raging fire while I laugh maniacally from afar. I HATE this place. It is the biggest, dumbest clusterfuck I have ever been a part of. There must be some unwritten rule that as soon as you enter the parking lot you must give up everything you know about being a civilized human being. In this gas station you are allowed to cut off whoever you want, drive at whatever speed you want, run out in front of moving cars without even a glance, take up two gas pumps, pull in to the pump backwards, pull in to the pump sideways, queue up in a five-car line and block all entrances, scream and flip off anyone who dares to look in your direction, have a conversation with the people in the car next to you for a good ten minutes after your tank has been filled, turn your small children loose to run amock throughout the cars, or even pull up to the fence running along the side of the lot to pee on it. I have had to stop at this station a few times and never once has it been easy. It is always chaos, no matter what time of day it is. A time or two I've had to leave without filling up because there's just no room for a car to get into the lot. I don't know what the hell their deal is--the lot is a decent size and there are 12 pumps. So wtf?? read more

This place is Quik and this place is a Trip! This place takes me back to my youth when you would go to the amusement park and drive the bumper cars. It's brutal at this QT, but kinda fun too. They have to be doing something right if EVERYONE in the city wants to use this convenience store. It's clean, quick and stocked to the nines. It's definitely one of the more colorful places in town. Just make sure you have a clear head and a keen eye went you enter the parking lot here, you need all of your senses in tact so that you don't leave with a bump or a dent as you exit back to the real world. read more

I love QuikTrip and have been in every single one of their stores in Kansas City. And based on that experience I think this QuikTrip sucks. It sucked when they first put it in, when they built the new store behind the old one and leveled the original place to expand the number of gas pumps, they still found a way to make it a pain in the rear to get in and out of the place. Sure the service inside is top notch as one typically expects from QT. And with the high volume of foot traffic they keep the place fairly clean and well maintained. But bad access just kills this location. If it sucks it sucks and 2 Stars is all it gets. read more
