DO NOT GO HERE! Here are photos of what I asked for, vs. what I got. These are not intricate or difficult designs. While being done after having already asked multiple times for other things to be adjusted, I finally just gave up when asked if I was ok with the design. The ELEMENTARY level work should be able to be done in a nail technician's sleep. Yet, somehow, this was not the case for me. I'm preparing for a very busy week ahead of me, including day so I was already at the point of just getting done what I came to do - including my toes - and getting it over with. When it came to my toes, the base coat I requested was forgotten ‍ Now, time to pay, I simply asked if they're really going to make me pay an extra $10 for this design? To which I was confronted by the owner in a VERY RUDE manner, threatening to call the police. FOR WHAT?! I asked a simple question. Moral of the story, when they ask if you're ok with what they're doing, keep on them and be strict because these places will play in your face if you're too kind. read more

I liked this place the first three times I went. I was always told I could come back and get any nails repaired if they chipped. However, when I went to get only one nail fixed, LeLe was very rude and was clearly upset about it! She was the one who said they would fix nails, but apparently she does not like to do it! She made it VERY clear that is was MY fault the color chipped off. On another occasion, I made an appointment for four pedicures. When I got there with my party, she acted like I had never called and made an appointment. They were not ready for us, but made it look like she was doing me a huge favor by doing the four pedicures. I said I called and made an appointment. LeLe said I must have called and made an appointment with another salon. WHAT? I called and SHE answered and said LeLe Nails, can I help you?! She will never take blame for anything and is rude! There are plenty of nail salons, and I recommend going elsewhere!!! read more

Consumer BEWARE! This place is hires untrained internationals. The tech who attempted to do my pedicure obviously did NOT know what she was doing. She took a razor sharp blade and forced it along the side of my toenail causing it to bleed profusely. It was extremely painful. I screamed for the tech to stop. Sure they were busy and others could hear me. But they hurt me, I was literally bleeding on the floor/bowl/chair, and left a trail of blood out the door (I'm not exaggerating). The owner/manager came running and screaming at me. I thought she might apologize. But there was no apology. Sad. Dangerous place. Avoid at all costs. read more

I have gone to LeLe for the last 5 years. Since the pandemic have been going less frequently. Went today with my daughter asked for 2 pedicures. No one greeted us when we walked in. Set is up in 2 chairs with our feet soaking and left us there. Did not ever mention how long it would be. Sat there for 40 minutes. No one said a word to us. There were 3 other people in the salon. Wow, this place gets busy! Luckily my mom and I made reservations because this place was packed on a Friday afternoon. I was impressed with how the owner kept up with the business and managed to greet and thank every customer. We both got mani/Peti's and I was pleased with their attention to detail (holy cuticles!). After approximately ten years of receiving manicures and pedicures from this establishment, I will no longer patronage here. Two days ago, I received a gel manicure from the owner, LeLe. Routinely I get the same color of nail polish because, from the moment I walk in the door, I'm yelled at to pick out a color. However, since it was Easter, I wanted to see how two different shades of purple would look. She put one purple color on, and in a split second, she sarcastically said, "Do you like it? I don't have time for this!" So I said yes, just to avoid the wrath. It's not the first time she has told my 89-year-old mother and me the same thing! LeLe is just rude, to say the very least! My mom has been joining me for the last few months, and I can't believe how she treats us. You would think after ten years that we would be considered a valued customer. But a few times, we were there for over three hours, getting manicures and pedicures. We ALWAYS have an appointment, yet we sit and watch walk-ins come and go. After this manicure was complete, LeLe asked me if I liked the color. I simply told her no. She immediately said not to come back. She didn't have time for me. Yet the whole time she was doing my gel manicure, she made three phone calls to another salon making an appointment for a walk-in customer who wanted acrylic nails. So, if you're a walk-in, you will get special attention; if you're a regular customer, you are a nuisance! Sad but true :( My mom didn't even want to come with me this last time because of how LeLe treats us. I want to say that the lady who does the pedicures, Phan, is EXCELLENT! Have never left a review, but feel compelled to leave this. I have been a customer there, off and on, for several years, so I am a familiar face to the owner. Always tip very well and have generally been satisfied with my service. The technicians work very hard and are always friendly. I had a gel manicure 3 days ago and 2 of the nails started peeling off. I went back and told the owner that I would like the manicure re-done. I did this in a non-confrontational way. It was very crowded. The owner was INCREDIBLY rude to me, telling me that I was lying and that I had peeled them off myself! I told her I had not. She (Le Le) proceeded to rip the remaining gel off my fingernails (while smiling)and layers of my fingernails with it. When I told her not to, she smiled and said something to the effect "well you told me they were they were peeling, so why do you want them soaked off". She did this in a very mean way. I asked her to stop because it was hurting and asked to just give me my money back. She said they never do that. At any rate, I will never return. It's clear it's all about the money. She is a very unkind person who claims to be a Christian. There are plenty of nail salons and I will find another one that treats their customers respectfully and with kindness. They humiliated one of my friends because they have zero tact and consideration for anyone who is not a size 2. I have yet to see anyone break a damn spa chair due to size. After an employee publicly humiliated her to tears, they had the audacity to still charge her full price for the service. Very upset, because they did a design that they could not do well. I rather have gotten a design they could do well than the mess up version of mine. Also they put the top coat on the design to early so it smeared. I understand that they are busy but im paying a lot of money for them to do my nails and even extra for design. Now every time I look at them I get a little frustrated and angry that I wasted money on the terrible service. This may be a overreaction but I still feel as if other future customers should know. Especially if you are a perfectionists. Another thing is that this place takes forever to actually get you nails done. Your waiting time is longer than the time you are getting your nails done. Le Le Nails is the only place I go to get my nails done. The staff is kind, and does a spectacular job on my nails. All of the instruments are clean and come directly from their sanitizing equipment. The foot baths are sprayed and scrubbed after each client. It is definitely a busy place, but I have never had to wait long for a spot. My nails ALWAYS look amazing. They take great care to make you feel comfortable and happy with the results. The only thing I would change is to add lighting to the back wall where the regular nail polishes are located. I always have trouble seeing what colors I am looking at. Le Le seems to be a great owner, and is definitely able to find high quality employees who do great work. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The owner herself was rude, demanding, and compulsive. She told me direct quote "I do not have time to fix your nails" when she did not do what she requested for my nails and did not have the color that she said she had. On top of this, I had to wait for over an hour to get service after I had made an appointment (which they never even acknowledged or apologized for). To start I've been going here for 2 years, driving 20min because two of the nail techs were so skilled. Unfortunately, today the owner verbally assaulted me for no reason at all. I made an appointment with the two nail techs I always see, showed up early to my appointment, and had my pedicure and everything was good. I was supposed to have my gel manicure by the tech I schedule with and when another male tech came over to do my nails (who is not the best and can't really see all that well) I said as graciously as possible I would like to have the nail tech I made the appointment with... that's when things went terribly wrong. Apparently the tech I had booked with had been over booked and the male nail tech got up and stomped off upset when I did not want him to do my nails but I've had him before and he is mediocre at best and I really didn't want to spend the money with him. The owner then came over and started tearing off my old gels and then clipped all my nails all off very short! I had been growing them out but didn't say anything. She yelled go wash your hands and I said excuse me did I do something wrong, she started yelling at me in front of the whole nail salon and said I didn't need to come back. I started to cry she started smiling (I'm 8 months pregnant, paying a babysitter at home for my other child and just wanted to relax and this was the opposite treatment I had expected) meanwhile my regular nail tech just keeps apologizing to me over and over again. I paid for my pedicure and also full price for a manicure and gel removal that was painful and not completed when I should have just walked out after being verbally abused. Please don't visit this establishment. The owner is a terrible person that does not deserve the business. I will also be writing to the Kansas state board of cosmetology. No customer or employee should endure this terrible behavior. read more

I have been going to Le Le Nails now for about 1.5 years. I don't have any complaints. I always make reservations with Quyen who does a fabulous job! She is very thorough and polite. I enjoy talking with her catching up on how things are going with her education. I'm always greeted with a smile and a "thank you" when I leave. The management and employees here are completely despicable and unprofessional. A friend of mine was told that she was too large for the massage chair while getting a pedicure, which highly upset her and she started crying... They still charged her full price for her services after publicly humiliating her in front of a full salon. My friend posted on her Facebook after the incident, and the salon then posted a picture on the status of her crying in the chair from behind a partially closed door!!!! This is completely unacceptable and in no way is "fat shaming" okay... Especially in the business-consumer realm. I am highly recommending that this salon not be used and am submitting a claim to the BBB as well. read more

This salon is the best. I come here often especially for the gel manicure. They all do a magnificent job and I always receive compliments on how nice my nails look. I usually go on the weekend early morning before they get too busy. It's packed on Saturdays and Sundays so try and go during the week or schedule an appointment. It's $34 for a gel nail manicure which is pretty reasonable considering it lasts for 2 weeks or more. I do wish they offered waxing services. read more

I never go anywhere else for nail care. The first thing I noticed was how clean it is. I've watched the process many times and they always follow the same protocol. They sanitize the utensils after every client, and when they clean the foot spas they take the entire drain assembly apart and sanitize it. They wipe down the outside of the foot spas, the chairs and armrests. Very conscientious about hygiene. The staff all wear white smocks and it definitely gives it a professional feel. They are normally very busy and at times I have had a wait even with an appointment, but it's definitely worth it. read more

I had the owner do my mani/pedi and since they were busy (even though I made an appointment), both were completed in 30 minutes...combined. Not a relaxing or pampering experience at all. That being said my toes look great but my fingernails look like they have 2 weeks worth of growth already since she did not paint up to my cuticles. It was not worth the price. read more

Great place, very nice staff & very clean new building. I called ahead for an appointment at 5pm for two pedis. They greeted us and had us both seated in massage chairs with a complimentary bottle of water within a minute of walking in the door. Great selection of nail colors also. We both enjoyed our pedis and the price was only $25 each. Great price, great experience. read more

She was very attentive to my requests about how I like my nail polish to look on my nails. This is an excellent nail salon and I have tried many in the area including on the Plaza and in South Overland Park. The technicians do a great job and despite what you read in an other review, I have never seen them be anything but kind to the customers which are of all ages and races. I saw them be particularly solicitous to an older woman who could barely make it into the shop. Their standard pedicures and manicures are great and include nice hand and food massages. They also get points for doing the best job I have seen of cleaning after each customer including bleach, and scrubbing and removing parts in the foot basin. the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is a simple place not luxurious like some salons in other cities where I have lived prior to moving to Kansas City. read more

I went back to salon and the owner was so RUDE!!!and uncaring, she told me that I must have hit my toe on something! She was UNREAL!! she wanted me to take my shoe off while she was working on someones nails! she didn't want stop doing the ladies nails and it was very uncomfortable! I just moved here from Lawrence. I went in at 5:30 after calling to see if they were busy. I walked in, and a woman immediately told me they couldn't get me in today, and nothing else. They were supposed to be open for two more hours, and I did not appreciate the abrupt rudeness. I went down the street to Nail Art and I have never been more satisfied with my nails. ZERO STARS!! If you're looking for rude, unprofessional behavior, this is the place for you!! You'll be talked down to (if you're spoken to at all), possibly told you're "too big" to sit in the chair, and treated as if you're an absolute inconvenience! I've been a long time in writing this review, but always procrastinated thinking they'd do better next time. Now they've crossed the line! I used to be a HUGE fan of Le Le Nails, but my last two experiences have been very disappointing. I got a pedicure in June and the male nail tech was terrible. He rubbed the top of my foot so hard that it almost bled. He was so rough that I had to tell him to stop at least three times during the pedicure. On my most recent visit, the owner did my gel manicure and my experience was similar to what Angie F. talked about on 4/12/16. The owner rushed through the entire manicure --it probably only took her 15 minutes to do the gel. She answered her phone multiple times while doing my nails. She didn't even soak my nails or work on the cuticles at all. She didn't paint the nails all the way to the cuticle, so it looks like I'm already in need of another manicure. It was not a relaxing, enjoyable experience and I probably won't go back to this salon. read more

Highly dissatisfied with the service I received today. The woman kept commenting on how my nails were too short do anything with. Also, saw no use of the correct way to properly sanitize nail tools. Their yearly inspection report (which is to be in the public's eye)was not up to date which is against state board regulations. I will be turning them into the state for that. read more
