I have gone to nail Mirage for a long time for a pedicure and it's always been good but recently I made a appointment to make sure I could get in but basically they pretty much rushed me through because it was a busy day. and barely did a relaxing pedicure. I'm a single mother and when I decide to go get a pedicure, it's a treat and I want to enjoy the pedicure and this was basically like cut your toenails paint your nails and you're done so I'm not sure I will go back. Scheduling same day is not always available so I've had to get used to calling a few days ahead. My daughter and granddaughter usually go with me. Let me start by saying I went to the same salon for 10 years previous, and my nail tech moved to Texas, that's a bit far for even a loyal customer like me. I've been on the hunt for a year to find the right place. Many other salons in West Shawnee are great, but I never felt at home. Well, full stop. Paula did my dip and pedi today, and I have found my place. I loved every part of the experience today! My pedi was great, and my nails are AMAZING. I had so much fun, I forgot about the time. Nails Mirage is my go to place! I don't get my nails done often, but when I do, I go see the ladies at nails mirage. The owner Vaught is the best and very sweet. They have great customer service. Its VERY CLEAN! Great nail colors to choose from and their staff is friendly as well. 2/5/22 was my first time I have ever went to Mirage nail. I went and had a pedicure done and a manicure. I am content with the way my pedicure turned out to be by a different technician but my manicure was horrible. another technician who did my mani seemed so impatient and kept sighing everytime. I asked for a French tip nail and she kept saying they only do dip for that. i have been to many other nail salon that have done French tip nails with gel. In reality she was just wanting to do it the lazy way. Her work was so terrible, my nails were bumpy and the outline of the french tip nails were uneven and yet she want to complain that i only tip her $5. like do you not see the work you did. I am so unsatisfied. I called the nail salon after I left and explained to her how I'm unhappy with my results and she stated " what you want me to do?" in a professional business you're suppose to make the client feel happy with the results and especially because I am paying for it and if there is an error correct the mistake. Dont just say what do you want me to do? I am pleased with how well they're organized but this particular technician is unprofessional. If you don't like what you do then simply don't be making other nails demonstrate the way she feel about her job. I will never return again. read more

Always a great experience at Nails Mirage. The technicians are always friendly, meticulous, gentle, and efficient. I love their pedicure massage spa chairs (leather and comfortable). They always offer me water, and they have a vast selection of polish colors. They are also very artistic and skilled at nail designs (especially Rahnie!) Vatsana is super friendly and has a good sense of humor. Their prices are great, too, and they offer a discount if you pay with cash. It's ok! It's a nail place with many options for who provides you service. On a crunchy note, if a lot of fumes are too much from you (which is from acrylic nails), go to Sweet D's in Lenexa and get gel nails done instead. If you "don't have good nails" gel still works perfect for you. It's not more expensive. It's less fumes. You don't have to wait for it to dry when you leave. read more

This is my go to pedi place. Good prices. Clean. Efficient. My pedicures last a good three weeks in perfect condition. I like that the staff speak fluent English. So many nail places can't understand what I'm saying so the English speaking staff definitely got me glued to this place. My mom and I have been coming here for years and the last few times have been extremely disappointing. They continue to rush through our services and cut corners whenever possible. I went in today for a gel pedicure and manicure and wasn't even able to soak my feet for 1 minute before they started, they then begun doing my manicure on my lap while I was getting my pedicure. I was unable to enjoy the pedicure and was rushed through the whole process. The nail tech who was doing my manicure ruined the shape of my nails. I asked for a design and she told me she could do it. She wasn't able to do the design so I asked if I could do it with someone who could. she told me they didn't have time for that. so I had her take the polish off and decided i'd get them done at a different place. she proceeded to charge me 20 dollars to "trim my nails". This was supposed to be a relaxing and fun experience but instead it was stressful and a waste of my time and money. I will not be going back to nail mirage and I advise you to take your business elsewhere. read more

I have been looking for a nail salon in this area for some time. I can say I have found it. The price is right, and the salon is clean. The technicians seem to enjoy their work, their clients, and each other (lots of teasing and laughter). Plus they had non-stop clients while I was there, but it didn't feel rushed. I had a slot open up in my schedule and called to ask if they could get me in for a mani/pedi within the next half-hour (not a weekend, but toward the end of the day). They told me to come on over. I was greeted by the receptionist, and she set me up with Paulina immediately. She did both services, and I was very pleased. I will definitely be back. I've been to this place quite a few times, usually with my teenage daughter, for pedicures. The woman who runs the shop has done my daughter's pedi two times. She puts the polish on way, way too thick. We had the pedis on Thursday and already a big chunk of it chipped off ( on Monday). This happened the last time as well. Also, that woman rushes through way too fast. My daughter's pedi was 10 minutes shorter in duration than mine. We won't be going back read more

I've been a client at Nails Mirage since they opened a few years ago. Many nail places make you go hmmmmm when you walk in the door. You either get inconsistent service or you go in crossing your fingers you don't develop some kind of nail fungi a few days later. Nails Mirage has a staff of lovely ladies. After a few visits they know your name right when you walk through the door. Everything is nice and clean...no "shady" areas at this salon. I usually get a back-fill and occasional pedicure when I venture in. I have never left disappointed.... no matter who takes care of my service. Another plus is the decor. Many nail salons have those glossy pictures of bright red nails on a lotus flower or something adorning the walls. Never fear.... none of those here! I received a shellac at Nail Mirage and within two days, two of my nails were chipped. It's been a week, and every nail is now flawed. This is my second experience here. This rating is purely for manicures. The older lady there has completely messed up my nails both times that I have seen her. The first time was just for a natural manicure- she cut my nails all the way off :/ and sanded the top of them and sent me on my way. No cuticle work, buffing for shape or anything. Then she charged me extra. The second time I saw her for a full set of acrylic nails. She put on the acrylic then once it dried she almost completely filed it off again. To the point of her going through the acrylic and then through the nail bed to pain. Not good. Then for French tips she painted more than half my nail white. It just looked wrong...like I had the shortest nail beds ever. Again, she gave me the wrong price at the end to increase her tip. Needless to say I won't let them touch my finger nails again. I checked a couple other places before coming here. Since it was a holiday weekend, everyone was booked, but they took me in as a walk-in. Nicely decorated and the staff was super nice. I needed a full set removed due to another locations mess up. The owner took care of me and applied gel. This was on a Friday afternoon and on Tuesday morning my nails look awful. She didn't push my cuticles back and it's caused my polish to chip and look jagged and uneven. This may be my fault since I had no appointment and she rushed thru it to keep up with customers. If you go to nail mirage, do NOT get the acrylic nails. I got fresh tip acrylic nails about 2 hours ago for homecoming, and they already look awful. There are gross lines from the stuff that they stuck onto my nails, and lots of bubbles. I paid extra to get a gel coat on top because they told me there wouldn't be any bubbles. It was obvious that the service at nail mirage was very unprofessional and obviously not as experienced as I thought they were going to be. I paid $50 just for these nails, and they look awful. If you are researching about nail mirage to see if you should go there, I would highly recommend you to do other wise and not waste your money. read more
