They are nice and efficient. The prices are also very reasonable. Check them out! I keep going back.

Pedicure. I travel for work so it's hard to find a place I love to relax and get a good pedicure. I was a walkin no appointment and Kitty was great. She greeted me with a warm smile. And I had an amazing Pedicure and a wonderful conversation. Thank you Kitty. When I'm in the area I will definitely return to see Kitty read more

I called on my way and they were able to get me in for a pedi right away, so that was good. I got the volcano pedicure and it was nice and only $50. The reason i wont give 5* is because i do my onw nails usually and while looking through every color they were all very liquidly. They clearly added thinner to either super old polish or just trying to get more out of the bottle. Other than that I enjoyed my visit. read more

The ladies at this salon are always so kind and welcoming. Josie always does a fantastic job on my mom's feet and it has always been easy to make an appointment. Also, even though their native language is Thai, they go out of their way to include everyone in shop-wide conversations, so you don't feel read more

I've been going here on and off since they opened - really just depending on my spending habits. I'm back in the loop though and they still do great work. I usually have Coco do my nails and she does a great job. Always makes sure she goes all the way to the edge around my cuticles, which I'm really particular about. Today, in honor of July 4, I wanted to do a little nail art but I wasn't sure what I wanted. She came up with the design which I really like. read more

as someone who speaks a different language, I know that it's rude to do so around folks who can't understand you. Anyway I had to sit through a seemingly somewhat aggressive exchange between two employees while getting my pedicure. She kept remarking that I needed to relax, which is ironic as instead of relaxing music I had to deal with this sort of bickering. My pedicure wasn't noteworthy either. I got the mid grade package, and just kinda awkward due to this unnecessary crosstalk. The saving grace of this place was Josie, who did my gel nails. She was super rad, and super charismatic that I would certainly see her again. Thanks Josie! read more

I had my toes done with Paulina today and she did a wonderful job.. easy to talk to .. would definitely recommend this place ! Priced very reasonably.. the place is clean and friendly read more

I was in town for the weekend and needed to get my nails done. I easily made an appointment via Yelp with NAILS Salon #1...off to a good start! My nail technician was Asia and she was amazing from start to finish. We had good conversation while she gave me some gorgeous fire-engine red coffin acrylics. Definitely make an appointment and ask for Asia, especially if you're doing acrylics. Side note: Also just be a good customer and make an appointment for acrylics anyway...acrylic walk-ins are not easy to accommodate! Everyone there was so friendly and everything was very clean...two more huge selling points. I'm not sure what the rest of the nail game is like in the Kansas City area, and I'm not sure what the rest of their services are like, but it was a 5 out of 5 visit for me! read more

I went to the salon Friday June 4th for a mani and pedi. This was my first visit because I'm new to this side of town. All went well until the gal nicked me on my big toe which must have hit a nerve because it hurt like heck. Then she started scrubbing the bottom of my feet with that abrasive sand block. I think she didn't realize she was holding the block at such an angle it started cutting the center of my arch as she scrubbed. It hurt but I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. My biggest concern of course is infection, so far so good! But it's been an uncomfortable weekend hobbling around trying to keep it clean. I did go in and talk to the gal on Sunday (I won't give out her name, she's a sweet gal and felt bad) to let her know, but she would have had of seen the cuts herself after the fact. I hope to try the salon again, but right now a bit nervous read more

Called to book 6 pedicures only 2 days in advance. They told us the time which worked for us luckily. No place close would see more than 2 of us at a time. They were so nice and friendly! Even to my son who wanted to be a part of it. They found him glow in the dark nail polish for his toes! They really glowed to!!! read more

Sarah did such a phenomenal job! She was very kind, courteous, and attentive to detail! I stopped in this salon just because I had some time to kill, but will definitely be coming back just to see her! Best pedicure I have had in years. Also, I called 30 min in advance and got taken care of right when I walked in the door. 5 starts! read more

I have been going to this salon since it opened. I have always been greeted as I walked in and have received excellent service. On one occasion I broke a gel manicured nail and Kitty welcomed me in and fixed it without hesitation. I recently moved across town and am still driving to have my nails done there. read more

I absolutely love my red nails!! Kitty and her team are such professionals. Every time I go in I feel right at home and leave a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this clean, comfortable and friendly nail salon. I won't go anywhere else. Kitty, thanks for the extra attention before my anniversary trip! read more

Love this place! I just came in today for a gel manicure and posh change on my toe nails and the staff is awesome. Friendly and professional! Did everything I asked of them. Also it was a nice new location in Lenexa with a big space and very clean shop! I called ahead and they took me right away when I got there. I recommended calling before! :) read more

I love this place! Better to call ahead but can sometimes fit you in when you drop in. Open on Sunday! Very friendly and clean!

I'm totally in love with this salon! Kitty is absolutely amazing! The salon is super clean, people are super friendly, and the quality of work is so high! Kitty made me feel right at home. Went out of her way to make sure I had the best experience possible. Can't hype this place up enough! I was a walk in and only waited about 15 mins. But I would really recommend calling in an appointment! As I will be doing from now on. Nothing but love! read more

10/05/2019 at 10 am was my first time at this nail salon. I just moved to the area and what I encounter throughout my service there was by far the WORST. I asked one of the nail tech if she had an olive green color and she spoke in her language, Thai (not knowing that I could understand her) to her staff saying she don't know what that color is so I showed her a picture and she said "oh this girl want the color dog shit" okay... I let that comment slide without saying anything. I was already ready to leave but something keep telling me to continue and see how the service was. As I sat down to get my nails done. I listened to everything they said about every single customer that came in, judging them by how they look (including me) and our expressions. I was simply minding my own business and asked the nail tech (her name was coco whatever the hell she said) how long has she been doing nails and if she likes doing it. She said 3 years. Then her little side buddy who was doing another clients nail with an orange hair (very skinny) made a comment towards me saying I didn't laugh with her, only smiled as it may seem that I just woke up. And I responded back to her, "I am very much awake" then they were shocked at my response trying to decide if I knew a little bit of their language or able to speak it. I hardly responded and they continued to talk in Thai talking about my face expression. How I looked mad.. how clueless and dumb they are. Regardless of anyone's nationality or if they're able to understand it or not, they should not talking about customers! Had I not understand they would just continue to smile in your face and gossip right in front of you. Most people would walk out but I decided to stay and to also warn others that these nail tech lady indeed talk crap/judge you right in your face. The littlest thing you say, they turn it into a joke/or comment it to their staffs. I paid for my service and also let the lady know that I did in fact understood every little thing they said. The look on her face was priceless. Like catching a thief stealing. read more

I'm from Washington state and happened to be in town and needed to get a manicure. I selected this salon because it was close to where I was staying. Let's just say, this salon doesn't disappoint. It is clean with sterile instruments and a friendly caring staff. I had the good fortune to be matched up with Asia. She's absolutely delightful and did an awesome job!!! A++++ Try it, you'll love it! read more

I got my nails done here in November for my wedding, I got them done 2 days before my wedding 11/04 and by 11/06 almost all of them had already fallen off. I was very upset. The day of my wedding you could see how the fake nails were wanting to come off. Glad they didn't, but after that experience I won't be back. read more

The price point was well below what I have paid at other salons and overall the polish job is fine however they did not trim my cuticles or really do any other maintenance that comes with a manicure so all in all I would prefer to spend the few extra dollars elsewhere read more

I've been a regular here for almost a year and love this salon. Coco is my person. She is very friendly and does a lovely job. The salon is very clean and organized. They do take walk ins but a recommend making an appointment if you can because they can get very busy. Kitty is the owner and she is very friendly and will do everything she can to accommodate you. read more

I come here with friends, my mom, and my husband. Everyone loves it! Kitty is the best.

Prices too high for average service. Other salons in the area match prices. This salon does not.

I recently moved to Shawnee and have been looking for a good nail salon. I HIGHLY recommend Nails Salon #1. Both Kitya and Jim did a great job. I like to keep my nails short and rounded and they both did a great job with that request, whereas other salons in the area did not. The salon is immaculate and the staff is very polite and make you feel quite at home. Please give them a try, you won't regret it!!! read more
