Went to the east coast for a weekend and ended up visited this place. I live in SD and there are tons of hotpot places everywhere so I was very curious how this visit was going to be. It was amazing! Unlike most of the hot pot places back home, this place has single pots for every person at the table which was cool. I had their tom yum soup base (can be requested without milk) and the soup it self was quite tasty and delicious. Their menu is easy to follow, they give you a laminated menu and a dry erase pen to select all the items you'd like. Each section is broken down (protein, appetizers, veggies, etc). They have a spot by the back to make your own dipping sauce. They even have an shaved ice section and make your own cotton candy! Hot Pot with Thai flavors?! Sign me up. I came on a week night dinner with a friend. I love hot pot for catching up because it's a slower pace and is perfect for yapping with friends. Nah Mor is an AYCE hot pot restaurant, currently listed at ~$37/pp. They have 7 soup base flavors. I love that they do individual hot pots for each person! We chose the Jaew Horn and the Five Spice Broth. They have you pick a few options from each category of foods and they have a lot of great options! I find being able to see everything at once a lot easier than places that have tablets. I loved the Jaew Horn soup, it was sour and spicy. It complimented the items well. There is also a sauce bar with a variety of pre-made sauces and items to make your own. The service was quick and they looked after of us fairly well. We had to ask them to explain the ordering process which was a little strange. Inside is bright and open. They have some cute art on the walls. The restaurant his a strong smell which I didn't mind, but be sure to wear clothes you can easily wash after lol. One thing that did bug me throughout the meal was the cleaning spray they use to wipe down the tables. It has a strong smell that would burn my nostrils everytime. I was in the Springfield area for a solo lunch, and searched for a hot pot place. Nah Mor Hot Pot was the top suggestion. It's located in a strip mall and while parking can be busy, no trouble finding a spot. Service was very nice and immediate, without being overbearing. The various servers all help out, taking each order, delivering food, drinks, etc. The nice server explained to nearby groups how the hot pot ordering works, and was very helpful. There is a small sauce bar near the front. The selection there could be better. But it has the main things. There are small tables good for 2, and can be combined for a group. It's well lit and open. Veggies were fresh. Quality of the meat varied, but I'd you stick with the slices of beef, you'll do fine. It is on the expensive side, as it's near 50 bucks or more with drink tax and tip for one person. So be aware that's what the initial 37 dollar price tag becomes. read more

Nah Mor is a small little hot pot place, limited seating but they do take reservations so if you have a big party I would definitely recommend to call ahead of time to get a table. You sit down and they give you a menu where you mark it up with a dry marker and they come by to fill what you order. There's certain amount that you can order from each category (starters/veggies/proteins, etc) so choose dependent on what you would like first, and so on so forth. This hot pot spot was such a great experience. Parking was easy, and inside it's bright, colorful, and fun with graffiti artwork on the walls. The seating is comfortable, and the vibe is amazing. The staff was amazing. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. They checked on us often and never let our plates get empty. The food was hot, fresh, and there were so many options at really great prices. Was a little disappointed that they no longer offer AYCE and are now only a la carte. But this is my favorite hot pot place so I figured I'll give it a try. The a la carte prices are between $2-5 per plate. My bill didn't even reach the old AYCE price and I was still full with leftovers. Since it's a la carte I was able to take them home. I want to come here for Yen Ta Fo broth but they replace that with Five spice :( You can adjust spice level of jaew horn broth. Tom yum broth is okay. For beef, I like brisket, followed by flat iron, ribeye (it is cut too thin so the meat is kinda like just falling apart), then sirloin. Sirloin has less fat and has stronger beef taste. For instant noodles, they use Korean instant noodles, which is nice. The cheesy pork is pretty interesting. But the moo deng, having egg instead of cheese, is not good. Nah mor shrimp ball is okay. Don't order pork, especially the marinated one bc you can't taste anything and texture is weird. Garlic fried rice is not as good as the one in Queens. Fries has pretty good seasoning. I am completely in love with and obsessed with Nah Mor Hot Pot! I'd never had Thai hot pot before, and I've been having a hard time going back to Korean, Chinese, or Japanese style hot pots ever since stumbling across Nah Mor. This cozy, intimate hot pot restaurant is located in a very diverse strip mall in Springfield. Multiple Middle Eastern, Korean, and Vietnamese restaurants call this plaza home, and Nah Mor stands out as one of the crown jewels. This all you can eat hot pot let's you truly go on a flavor adventure with their wide variety of soup bases, dipping sauces, meats, veggies, and even appetizers! I don't know what they do to it, but the french fry appetizer is a must. Every meal has been amazing. The veggie and meat quality is fantastic, the herbs and sauces are fresh, the service is beyond friendly, attentive, and overall outstanding. One aspect of Nah Mor that I love is that they give you the full size menu and an expo marker to annotate what you want. When they take it back to put in your order they just wipe the menu down and give it back! Before you go, know that the all you can eat price is flat regardless of what meats and broth you get, but they do have different prices for adults and kids, lunch and dinner. Lastly, parking immediately out front can be a premium at dinner time on Fridays and Saturdays, but there is parking across the street, and it is not a busy street that you'll need to be dodging heavy traffic on. I'll rate this as an AYCE spot because the criteria is different if this was a la carte -- it was honestly pretty good! I was weirded out by the menu's restriction on limits per round but I get it. Food was really good! Lots of options and variety and loved the specials they had on the menu! I got the Tom Yum broth and it tasted really authentic, a lot more of that zesty sourness aspect that makes it so good! Please note that this is more of a Thai hotpot place but there are some overlaps with Shabu hotpot and yakiniku. Service was really good! Waitress was attentive and very helpful. I visit once a week. The food is fresh and of course healthy. The service team is professional and friendly. The atmosphere can be loud occasionally but that never deters me from conversation or watching my programing via my cell. I think Nah Mor Hot Pot is a great Hot Pot but definitely a place that isn't my first pick. Despite being close to this location I don't know if I can justify the price point.. This place is in the middle of a shopping block where there were other places to eat at. Since I came here with a group of friends, we had to fulfil our reservation. Since it was AYCE, you were allowed to pick one broth of your choice and selections of vegetables/meat/starch/seafood. You are given at least an hour and thirty minutes of eating so plenty of time to dig in. There is also a sauce bar that you can create your own dipping sauce, I went really basic and just made a KBBQ dipping sauce of Sesame Oil/Salt but others are much more creative than me. The food and broths came out quick and I did think my friends did get full after eating. The servers were polite and even recommended what they like to get at hot pot too. The only big downside is the place is small so if you don't reserve in advance you may have to wait. Other than the price, it's okay. I don't mind paying more if the food is good but definitely have other places I'd check out/make the drive out for first. read more

It was my first time having Thai hot pot, and the staff was super helpful in walking me through the menu. There's a huge selection of both all-you-can-eat and à la carte options. The menu was a little confusing at first, but the explanation helped a lot. I ordered the beef and the signature mini hot pots, and they were a great combo. There are seven different broths to choose from--I went with the wonton base and skipped the cream, and it was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were super fresh, and all the ingredients were really high quality. This is a Thai-style hot pot, so it's a bit different from traditional Chinese hot pot, but in the best way possible. The place itself was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great vibe. I came in here recently for dinner. I had had Thai food before, but never hot pot. There is an oven heating element in the middle of the table that heats up the pot. The food ingredients are put in the pot, and heated up before you eat them. It probably takes about 15 to 20 minutes before the food is hot enough to eat. The servings are generous. You heat up about half of the food, and while you are eating that, you heat up what is left. The ingredients you can choose from are quite extensive. You are given a laminated menu and circle your choices with an erasable marker for ease of ordering. I got as I recall fish wonton, moo deng, shrimp balls, shrimp wanton, squid, mussels, beef tripe, brisket beef, pork liver, cabbage, black fungus, green onions, and water cress. The service was quick and friendly. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The adult dinner was $37.00, and the Thai green tea was $5.00. No complaints. Keep up the good work. read more

Since you get an individual pot and there are tables with 2 or 4 pots, thus, all 5 of us couldn't sit together at one table and were forced to split 3 and 2 between 2 adjacent tables. Appetizers: highly recommend the Lisa fried balls! They're crispy fried fish balls with a sweet and spicy glaze on top. Broths: we ordered the creamy tom yum and jaew horn broths. Both were very flavorful! Meats: the beef were all very tender! They come out in small portions of about 6 thin slices per order. The pork was sliced a bit thicker than the beef, but was still pretty tender. The fish balls weren't as good as the frozen ones that I can buy from Hmart. Sauces: there's a variety of sauces with lots of spice options for everyone. I really like the goma sauce (peanut sauce) which pairs well with the beef. Rice: the fried rice was overwhelming buttery and I wouldn't order it again. The white rice was standard. Drinks: the Thai iced tea was refreshingly sweet. Really fantastic Thai Style Hotpot. So just as a disclaimer for those who don't know. Hotpot is a cuisine that is present throughout most southeast Asian cuisines. There are clear differences in each style. Most of which is the broth that they decide to use and the ingredients they put in. I'm a huge fan of the Thai style hotpot because their broths and have more depth of sweet, sour, and spicy. This restaurant did not disappoint. I got the creamy Tom Yum broth and it was amazing. No need for any special dipping sauces. However, I still went to the sauce bar. I really liked thief creamy peanut sauce. However, as a reminder, they won't have the same dipping selection as a Chinese or Korean hotpot establishment. I relayed enjoyed their fast and friendly service and the all you can eat selection. Also included are non hotpot appetizers like their special deep fried skewers and pork wonton skins. You can fry all of the items really but they encourage you to go "round by round" so as to avoid food waste. I like that too. On top of it, tables for two are a little small so I can see why going by rounds would be helpful. They thought of that too. The meats and hotpot ingredients can come out in stackable containers which save a lot of space. You still get your items but they take up air space and not real estate. The quality and presentation of ingredients was spectacular. I loved their drink selection too )see the menu photos I posted). We came without one and were told the wait time would be an hour since they had an upcoming reservation but then they offered the table if we could finish before their 7pm reservation which was about an hour ish to eat. We decided to do that and I got the pink broth which was kinda floral, dyed everything pink and added a light sweetness overall to all the food! Was good but I'd probably try a different broth next time. The meat was great quality but they did give a small amount each time. Their focus seems a bit more on seafood and fishballs which were very yummy. Overall great quality and unique tastes! Took the parents out for dinner that night and we ended up in this tiny little shop. You have to have a reservation otherwise god knows how long you will be waiting for a table. There's roughly around 13-14 tables. We were lucky to be placed on the waiting list which took less than an hour to get seated. I got the shabu broth and the parents got the herbal broth, both had flavor to it. Loved how they use a dry eraser menu which allows you to circle what you want. They serve smaller portion so there is less food wasted if you can't finish it all. You can keep ordering if you want more. The sauce bar had delicious options for everyone in our 8-person party. Some ranch from mild to XXX spicy. The appetizers and meats were all good and adults and kids were pleased. I move the Thai based sauces and dishes. We've been to many hot-pot places that are Chinese, Korean, or Japanese style but this was our first at a Thai based style. We love it! I would give this 3.5/5 stars. I tried the creamy Tom yum soup base and although it was tasty it was not quite sour or spicy enough the way Tom yum soup usually is. They have a good selection of meat and vegetables to choose from. They give you a menu and market and you just circle the items you want. When they bring out all your food they will bring back the menu so you can order more. I wish the sauce bar had the option to let you make your own sauce but they premade sauces they have available are still pretty good. Look no further for your fave hot pot spot! For starters, this is a thai hot pot with Northern street flavors! From broth to meat choices I was so full i needed a wheel chair. Price wise this place is mediocre, but than again i wouldn't mind considering it's AYCE! They do a dry erase type of menu with so many options to choose from. I love that the marinating of the proteins never over power the broths. More so compliments them! It is a small spot so i would suggest making reservations especially for big parties. Couldn't decide whether we wanted Thai Gaang wan or Nah Mor hot pot. So we decided to try this . I see the owner's humor behind the name of the restaurant. 555 atmosphere is chill as hell . Alright so, this place is interesting I definitely don't dislike it but I also don't love it. It fits right in that middle zone of passable but not amazing. Lets begin with the ambiance, this is a major strike against Nah Mor. The music is way too loud, we came in around Christmas and while it was festive it was also esthetically confusing. Part of the restaurant is wood, part is iron, then you've got wood dangling from the ceiling. It's just thematically confusing. Oh and one wall is covered in graffiti, clearly planned graffiti but still confusing! Let's talk service next, this is a big positive the servers are prompt, plesant and wonderful all around. The team was great here and I was generally happy with them. My one issue is it was very hard to understand the server who explained the menu to us. That's not a knock against her, it's more of a combination of the music and her having a fairly thick accent. She was extremely nice though! Edit: they only came around once to offer additional broth and we had finished our meal already, most of service is attentive but that's a bit of an issue especially in a hotpot restaurant. Food, this is a mix for me... Some of the food is lovely, some is strange. The broths for instance are delightful the soup base this place absolutely nails! The safer cuts of meat were pretty good, the quantity you get is not impressive but it's AYCE so you can't really complain much. Theres some more... exotic shall we say preparations of meat and I was less than impressed, like the cheesy pork for instance was just kind of strange. The appetizers were okay, the fried balls were great the wontons not so much. I did try and get a fruit smoothy but was informed there wasnt any... so for my portal fans the cake may be real but the smoothies are a lie. Overall food is decent but kind of strange. As a side note, my wife isn't a big fan of spicy food and if you aren't I'd suggest steering clear. The majority of offerings here are somewhat spicy and she found herself very limited in what she could enjoy. Edit: dessert was super disappointing, a small like miniature entimins cupcake, that tasted like pumpkin spice. (plesant surprise for me) but I was told these were vanilla so... confused again. This place is just confusing. Lets talk sauce bar for a minute, their offerings were a little lackluster. The ingredients were very fresh but the sauces, bases and options for sauces were very limited. Basicslly if you werent getting one if their signatures you were going to have difficulty getting the base you wanted. And just about everything in the sauce section is spicy, so again you're heavily limited if you don't love spice. How about value for money, at $37/head I'd honestly say it's not worth it unless you've not eaten all day... honestly I came in and feel like I didn't really get my money's worth. Edit: $4 for green tea, water and a teabag? Im not sure i agree with that. All in all it's not bad, but it's not at that place that I can call it great or recommend it to you.
