A couple of friends and I stopped by 9292 Shabu (not to be confused with 9292 KBBQ or 9292 Pocha) for some hot pot. It was a Wednesday night so it was pretty quiet- which was to our benefit! It allowed us to own the sauce bar and own the very extensive buffet bar which is full of noodles, fish balls, dumplings, vegetables, and other amazing add-ons to your meal (hot dogs anyone?) Honestly was impressed with the wide selection of food- which is a must for any hot pot experience. I was very happy with the entire experience, you'll catch me there again!

Went here on a weeknight on a Thursday. It was relatively empty overall and we were perhaps the third table in the entire restaurant at prime dinner time of 7pm. However, server was pretty attentive when we were there. The only thing we had to order through the were drinks, the meat, and the broth. Everything else, you do it self-serve which is pretty convenient and makes it fast. The selection was pretty good so I had no complaints. However, one thing we did not like was the inconsistency in meat quality each time we ordered it. The same fatty beef brisket came out in different ways on 3 different occasions. All in all, it's pretty good but many better ones available in the area.

Overall, my boyfriend and I enjoyed this place, but wouldn't be our top choice to come back for hot pot. Even though the quality of their meat and veggies was excellent, 40 dollars for all you can eat from a very limited menu, with limited broth choices, is pricey compared to the other hot pot places in the area. The service started off well but as the place got busy (there was one waiter for like seven tables) we hardly got to see our server due to the fact that he was busy with other customers. We ended up with the bone broth for our individual pots and it was flavorful, especially with the fresh vegetables buffet that was the highlight of this place. We tried most of their meat choices which we both agreed was great quality! The place is also very quiet; we came early during 5 PM but as dinner time came around it got quite busy; although it was not noticeably loud. Good for families and overall casual.

Greeted with a friendly smile upon arrival . our waitress was tentative and helpful. Came here on a Saturday lunch. You get to pick your hot pot broth base and pick out your meat to cook in hot pot. Amount is generous . Sides , sauce and veggies are attainable at the buffet bar. Huge variety of everything for the hot pot. For the amount we ate it was worth every dollar. I highly recommend.

Clean and convenient! All you can eat for $30 a person. The vegetables and sides were buffet style which I preferred so I can try a little bit of everything and get a whole plate of dumplings. Rice is free too, but as an expert at all you can eat, it's a cardinal sin to eat more sides than meat. Worth a try!

Awesome place for single serve hot pot with lots of great menu items. Felt a bit pricey maybe, but I won't count that against them since the quality was so high.

Was very impressed after we were done. Prior to this, I think urban hotpot was my favorite. We enjoyed that you can get your own veggies, noodles, tofu and sauces. You don't feel obligated to waste food or get more of a particular veggie you enjoy. The only thing you can't get is the meat but they brought out huge and high quality portions. It is by far the more expensive AYCE but I think it's worth the admission.

Tried 9292 Shabu, not the Korean BBQ, and it was fantastic! It was my first time at a shabu style restaurant in years and the waiter was very helpful and attentive. All of the meat was freshly sliced and tasted fresh. The sauce and veggie bar was super clean as well and had a great variety. I was surprised it was fairly empty... I think most people were over at the 9292 Korean BBQ side. It was honestly so much fun; we definitely will be back!

I'm thinking that many people who come here know already what they want, because even before we cracked open our menus, the server was immediately at our table expecting us to place our order. When we told her we weren't ready yet, she left, but came back less than a minute later and then stood there waiting for us to place our order. So I ordered the Sullangtang, which is bone broth with brisket and noodles. JP ordered the Yukgaejang, a spicy red broth with veggies and flank steak. We also ordered the fried dumplings. I don't know if the fried dumplings were vegetable or pork, but they were very good, made even better with a delicious dipping sauce. As hoped, banchan was served with our meal, but was just cubes of daikon radish (kkakdugi) and kimchi. The kkakdugi and kimchi were fresh and tasty. Even if the Sullantang recipe is traditional, I was disappointed. The broth was thin and very bland. However, I was able to jazz it up and make it into a pretty good soup by adding spoonfuls of the Yukgaejang broth and the fried dumpling sauce, plus salt and pepper. The Yukgaejang, topped with crispy noodles, was the better of the two soups. It had a lively flavor and as billed on the menu, was indeed spicy. The menu is limited, almost exclusively vegetable and beef dishes, but there is a seafood pancake and whelk (mollusk) dish. No chicken or pork dishes. Overall, our experience was decent and we would certainly consider returning. Shin Chon has plenty of off-street parking.

We ordered a spread: gyoza with sweet and spicy sauce, kimchi pancakes, fried shrimp, soy garlic wings, takoyaki, LA galbi, and jjampong with noodles... plus way too many drinks. We arrived early and scored prime seats by the bar, which turned out to be perfect, especially once the night shifted into more of a club vibe with a DJ. The energy was great, and most of the food was surprisingly delicious -- everything hit except the jjampong. We were expecting udon noodles, but it came with thin, clear noodles instead, and the flavor was a bit off for us. That said, the staff handled everything perfectly, and it didn't take away from the rest of the experience. Between the food, drinks, and nightlife atmosphere, we had an awesome time and will definitely be back.
