    Kids chicken shawarma
    Elaine M.

Hands down the best falafel stuffed pita I've ever had. Wow, first the pita is soft and fresh. The falafel holds its shape and crunchy outer layer. What makes this pita is the purple cabbage, chopped salad and pickles. I got mine with hummus (regular) and it was so flavorful I didn't need dressing. Hubs got the chicken shawarma salad, comes with a pita on the side, and kiddo got kids meal with chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma is really savory, hard to describe but you keep wanting to eat more!

We truly enjoyed a mouthwatering-magnificent meal! So excited we got to try this place. Great fresh options to choose from- bowls, salads, platters, combinations- yes! I enjoyed the platter- massive. Had leftover, very very happy! I can't wait to return! Savory, seasoned sensations!!!! Nice people and really tasty food!

    A little bit of everything!

So, how many times have you been looking for a place to eat, didn't want the same old thing, didn't want to spend a lot, but also wanted to find something healthier? Well, if you're in Frisco or McKinney, you're in luck! Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill serves fresh, flavorful food that's a refreshing break from the ordinary. You'll select your meal much like the familiar burrito or sandwich chains, but you choice from proteins that include Chicken Swarma, Crispy Chicken, Steak and Falafel to create your own Stuffed Pita, Bowl or Salad. The Pitas are made fresh on-site and the other base options are Basmati Rice, Chopped Romaine Lettuce, Couscous or just start with Hummus. You then add in your choice of Chopped Cucumber and Tomato Salad, Red Cabbage, Sumac Onions and Middle Eastern Pickles, followed by one of their four sauces, which include S'khug (Jalapeno, Red Pepper, Garlic & Cumin), Naf Sauce (Harissa & Garlic), Garlic Sauce and Tahini. This was my first visit, so I tried a wide-range of items, beginning with the Steak and Chicken Swarma. Both were very tender and moist. I enjoyed both, but I'd probably order the Swarma in the future, because I think it blends better with the other flavors. I also got some Falafel which were crunchy, and best when dipped in one of the sauces. The Sumac Onions went best with the Steak, while the Cucumber/Tomato Salad was a good accompaniment to any of the three proteins I selected. The Couscous and the Rice were both very fresh tasting. I think I'd pair the Couscous with the Steak and the Rice with the Swarma. Both blended well with the Salad and the Hummus, and the Pita holds up well with everything. The S'khug, Harissa and Garlic Sauces were all REALLY good! Fresh, spicy and full of flavor, I'd buy some to take home if they bottled it! The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, and they restaurant was neat and clean. I'm hoping that we see additional Naf Naf locations, but until then, I'll definitely visit when I'm near Frisco or McKinney.

It was an amazing experience walking into Naf Naf grill. My friend and I were very unfamiliar with what to order, the employees were more than willing to let a sample things and gave us explanations to help us make our selections. I ordered a pita with chicken and lentil soup. The pita was delicious and so flavorful. I wasn't wild about the lentil soup. The owner was working and walked around and greeted the tables, very friendly guy. This is definitely a unique experience and cuisine and I highly recommend it.

    Almost gone! Falafel

It's still 4 stars because the food still tastes amazing! Let's just get that straight. Now, the update is to address consistency . I've been 6-7 times and always get the falafel pita. Each time it's different. There is an art to a pita sandwich. The toppings should be spread throughout, the sauce as well (and enough that it can be noticed). I appreciate that the store is now smushing the falafel to spread it out in the pita. The fries sometimes have seasoning on them...sometimes nothing. The food is so good so I hope they improve on technique. Also, why do you put someone on their first day on the line to fend for himself? The guy today had clearly never seen a pita being made nor knew what was supposed to be on it. I felt bad for him.

It's the new location of the famous naf naf chain. But this is the WORST location ever. The staff is slow to the extent that they cannot manage the online orders and store orders together. They are working at the speed of snail and as if the falafel is going to feel bad if they speed up things. I was standing in line for 20 minutes and it hasn't even moved a bit. This simply reflects badly on the franchise owner - almost to the extent that this is their first store ever and have no operations experience. Sad! The food was good (similar to other locations nationwide). As an Yelp elite Gold, I am thoroughly disappointed.

    10/10!

Delicious food and kind staff that explained the menu and price differences. The kids meal with falafel was plenty of food for me. I will be back.

As commuters continue to suffer sitting in traffic on 380, they will be happy to know they have a fantastic new(ish) options to stop and eat dinner on their way home. Located in a strip mall off 380/423 is a shop that has really good middle eastern fare. As a fan of the food, I had high hopes and was very pleased. As you walk in, you are guided by a wait line that snakes around the pit that allows you to watch the fresh pita bread being prepped for the oven....you can scan the menu off QR code or wait till the board. I chose the build your plate, and went with hummus, rice, chicken shawarma and steak, added 4 count falafel; salad, onions, pickles and got my garlic and harissa sauces on the side...... Eye-test - CHECK, smell-test - DOUBLE CHECK, moment of truth - TRIFECTA.....:perfectly seasoned (every bloody thing)...savoury, swimming with tart, the heat from the sauces; just right with a punch of flavor. Just wow all around. Eating out isn't cheap anymore; it's downright pricey, so when I drop $20 on a to go meal, that can feed 2 people(as long as they aren't gluttonous)....you have a winner. There wasn't a long line, and I suspect that will change in the near future. Bravo to the owner/operator....

Okay for fast food Mediterranean wouldn't go out of our way to go back. The pita bread was fresh could get chicken or beef elsewhere.

For example, I can generally tell a good Chinese place from a mediocre one based on certain dishes that's being offered or what the place is calling it, same with Mexican. Is it failproof? Absolutely not. But it gives me an idea of what we're working with. However, "Mediterranean" I feel like is such a broad term and maybe because DFW doesn't have a ton of Persian options, the restaurants tend to offer more mainstream menu items, like kabobs and gyros. And let's face it, we've all had dried kabobs and subpar gyro. As my colleague and I sat down and stared at the small (and honestly a bit pricey) menu, I was almost regretful for choosing the restaurant. However, we stayed because this place had such high ratings on both Google and Yelp. And in reviews we trust! I stared at the chicken kabob option and ended up ordering it. Would I have liked a little something more than just chicken and rice and a blackened tomato for the price? Yes. But was it one of the best chicken and rice and blackened tomato I've had in a Mediterranean restaurant? Also yes. The rice had flavor, the chicken was moist and the tomato was chef's kiss. I stole a couple of french fries from my colleagues plate and she assured me that her gyro was also great. The simpleness of the dish plus the perfect execution was enough to convince me of returning soon.

The sandwiches (Bandari sausage and Little Persia special) were on the menu, but it was discontinued, and since the menu is paper and easily updatable, I don't understand why that wasn't reflected not physical nor online menu. They also didn't serve fresh basil this time, which was a letdown, and they charged for extra pita bread, something I wasn't expecting. The kashk-e bademjan and sikanjabin drink were good, though I hoped the drink was colder. I hope they stay consistent with their menu and extras.

I ordered the hummus and a gyro, simple, reliable choices, and overall, the experience was pretty solid. The service was genuinely great. Everyone there was friendly, quick, and on top of things, which always makes a difference. They moved pretty fast, so there wasn't a long wait. The bathrooms were spotless!! The food itself was good, not mind‑blowing, but definitely enjoyable. The hummus was smooth, the gyro had good flavor, and everything came out fast. It's the kind of place where you can walk in hungry and walk out satisfied without any drama. Now, I'll admit it: I'm spoiled. We've got a lot of fantastic Greek spots in the area, so my standards are basically set at "Greek grandma who's been cooking for 60 years." That's a tough bar for anyone to clear. But even with that, The Great Greek held its own. It's like the dependable friend who may not be the life of the party but always shows up on time and brings snacks.
