This was our second visit. The nachos are a decent-sized portion, but the street tacos are $15 and served on tiny tortillas (like half the size of a regular corn tortilla). I guess they're small b/c of how little meat they put in them. I have boys with an appetite, and they looked at the 3 tiny birria tacos in the box and laughed. Let me start by saying that when the food is prepared properly, this is easily one of the best quesadillas that I've ever had- ever. That being said, the last two times I went, the food was entirely wrong. One time, I was given entirely the wrong order. The next time, the quesadillas were missing all of the ingredients we paid extra for. Rather than remaking the food properly, we had to prove the items weren't included and then we were given little containers with some of the ingredients to add on ourselves. It wasn't the same as if it were prepared and cooked together. The owner is unhelpful and watches while his staff flounders. Guacamole for the chips was very limey and sour, consome tasted like nothing, corn had no flavor, cheese in the chicken quesadilla tasted rubbery, grilled chicken in the torta was very plain and the ingredients felt cheap. What a fun place! If you love Nacho Libre and tacos this is the place for you! The staff was great- funny, helpful and knowledgeable. Tacos were delicious. El pastor is what you want. Went on a Wednesday late afternoon, place was half full. It's cute inside, decorated with wrestler stuff with a very high ceiling. Great for echos as the many infant children demonstrated repeatedly as they screamed . Not a great atmosphere for relaxing in. Our waitress was really friendly and apologized and said they were out of menus so our table had to share the one she gave us. My table didn't mind sharing but I do wish they were at least laminated and not just folded paper stained with food... We ordered some specialty drinks and also a couple burritos. They were out of carnitas so had to settle for beef. We had to remind staff that we ordered drinks after receiving our food which came really fast. It was sadly average, sauces seem watered down and lacked flavor. I didn't enjoy eating off the paper that they line their plates with either. This is probably the most underrated restaurant in Ooltewah. The Hispanic food is truly authentic, the owner and his wife are wonderful people doing right by their country. The service is great and the food is even better! I have now tried almost everything on their menu and everytime I order a new dish I'm pleasantly surprised that the food is even better than the last. They have a unique and wonderful variety of traditional Hispanic salsa's from multiple parts of Mexico and South America. Truly one of the best places to eat in the Collegedale/Ooltewah area. The only issue with this place is that you run out churro lava cake when you're scraping the bottom of the plate trying to get the last caramel off. My husband and I went with some friends to try our Nacho Libre. We had heard about it from friends and love trying new Mexican places. It was a lot smaller inside than I thought it would be. Our waitress was great and very helpful. I would say the salsas and the margaritas were the best thing there. They have several different kinds of salsas and each one was really good. We went on a Tuesday and got half off tacos so everyone in our group ordered a couple of tacos each. Well the kitchen really struggled and would only send out one taco at a time and not together by person who ordered so some of the tacos got mixed up. Stuff we ordered was forgotten and our friend's order got completely messed up and he was missing several tacos and sides. The tacos were ok flavor wise but I bit into a piece of metal in my carnitas. I was thankful I didn't swallow that because it could have been really bad. I don't think we will return. read more

Went in for my first time. Ordered Torta (good), quesadilla (good) and the so-called burrito that you need two hands to hold it. What a disappointment.
