Let me start by saying that when the food is prepared properly, this is easily one of the best quesadillas that I've ever had- ever. That being said, the last two times I went, the food was entirely wrong. One time, I was given entirely the wrong order. The next time, the quesadillas were missing all of the ingredients we paid extra for. Rather than remaking the food properly, we had to prove the items weren't included and then we were given little containers with some of the ingredients to add on ourselves. It wasn't the same as if it were prepared and cooked together. The owner is unhelpful and watches while his staff flounders. Speaking of staff, it's one really lovely girl trying to run the entire front end by herself while the owner watches on. Before these last two experiences, I raved about the food. read more

This was our second visit. The nachos are a decent-sized portion, but the street tacos are $15 and served on tiny tortillas (like half the size of a regular corn tortilla). I guess they're small b/c of how little meat they put in them. I have boys with an appetite, and they looked at the 3 tiny birria tacos in the box and laughed. They were still hungry after they ate their meals. Not much food for a lot of $$$. My kids commented they'd need to go to Taco Bell later. I don't think we'll be back. read more

Amazing food! Amazing service! Everything was so fresh. Salsa was some of the best we've ever had. Any negative reviews were most likely left by someone wanting chicken, cheese, and rice from a generic restaurant. Thank god this is not that place. This is full of flavor and authenticity! read more

Customer service was amazing! Ambience was nice too. But the food was so bad respectfully. Guacamole for the chips was very limey and sour, consome tasted like nothing, corn had no flavor, cheese in the chicken quesadilla tasted rubbery, grilled chicken in the torta was very plain and the ingredients felt cheap. The bread for the torta was decent. The chips weren't bad. But for the price and taste, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Went on a Wednesday late afternoon, place was half full. It's cute inside, decorated with wrestler stuff with a very high ceiling. Great for echos as the many infant children demonstrated repeatedly as they screamed . Not a great atmosphere for relaxing in. Our waitress was really friendly and apologized and said they were out of menus so our table had to share the one she gave us. My table didn't mind sharing but I do wish they were at least laminated and not just folded paper stained with food... We ordered some specialty drinks and also a couple burritos. They were out of carnitas so had to settle for beef. We had to remind staff that we ordered drinks after receiving our food which came really fast. It was sadly average, sauces seem watered down and lacked flavor. I didn't enjoy eating off the paper that they line their plates with either. Definitely closer to American food than a Mexican taqueria. I expected more flavor for the price. read more

What a fun place! If you love Nacho Libre and tacos this is the place for you! The staff was great- funny, helpful and knowledgeable. Tacos were delicious. El pastor is what you want. Only downside was that the place can be loud due to the tall ceilings. We will definitely be back on the weekends for birria tacos! read more

Maybe the owner will take into consideration the feedback, maybe not. I will say that I am never going back and suggest that others ignore this place like he does his customers. Food is mid and drinks are just OK, service is terrible and in this economy it's not worth wasting your time. Respectfully! read more

This place is a must try! The chips and small salsa were complimentary. I ordered steak tacos, Mexican corn and pintos. The place was clean, the servers all made sure you were taken care of and it was super clean. The owner was working his tail off as well as the servers. It's a great place for tacos and great service. read more

It's such a quaint location and we love the patio option. Friendly service. The starter salsa was amazing- had a flavor like we have had in central Mexico. Food has excellent flavor! Very authentic. The portions are a bit small so if you are a big eater it can add up. We will be going again and again! read more

Looking for good food? Friendly staff? Quick service? Want to walk out feeling full and not thinking what's going to be a snack when you get home? This is the place for you. The ONLY reason it gets four stars is that if you happen to stop in when it's busy, seating is limited inside, so they do offer outdoor seating, which is fine if the weather permits it. read more

The service is very good. The place is clean. The food is quite good with a variety of salsa and hot sauces. I had the bistec street tacos and my wife a chicken burrito. Both were very good. This is our second visit. This place is solid good! read more

Horrible service! It will take forever to get a drink or napkins or have anyone take your order! Food is decent. Service is the worst I have ever experienced. read more

Comfy place, sports on the tele, lots of chips and in house salsa, we had, birria street tacos, beans, escete, Tortas, elote, cokes, It was about $40 dollars, for the flavor and quality it was worth it. Food was great and so was the service. Our server Kelcy was very attentive. My wife had two polo tostadas with avocado salsa she raved about. I had the el pastor nachos. The pork was tender and very flavorful. We will definitely go back read more

I love this place, it stands out amongst the typical clone tex mex places around this area. Love the salsa, quesadillas are so good! I already want to go back. read more

The food is good and the service is good. The ambiance is lacking somewhat. The prices are bit high.

The portions felt a bit small for the price, and the service was average; staff seemed rushed and not super friendly. The atmosphere was casual but could use more vibe--felt a bit sterile. I'd come back if in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Good for a quick taco fix, but don't expect to be blown away. read more

I have not had as good of quality of tacos as this since I was in Mexico and Costa Rica. It was so good that my wife and I went back the next night for dinner again to try more food. The service was great. The manager was awesome. Definitely, 10 out of 10 would recommend. read more

This is probably the most underrated restaurant in Ooltewah. The Hispanic food is truly authentic, the owner and his wife are wonderful people doing right by their country. The service is great and the food is even better! I have now tried almost everything on their menu and everytime I order a new dish I'm pleasantly surprised that the food is even better than the last. They have a unique and wonderful variety of traditional Hispanic salsa's from multiple parts of Mexico and South America. Truly one of the best places to eat in the Collegedale/Ooltewah area. The only issue with this place is that you run out churro lava cake when you're scraping the bottom of the plate trying to get the last caramel off. Easily the best weekend eatery there is for Hispanic food in the area! read more

I thought the food was good but the portion size was small... I had the Burrito and it was about the same size as a Taco Bell burrito but it cost about 15 bucks... there was no sides with it. Delicious birria tacos and Mexican corn. Great service and fun atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

Service is top notch and the food is some of the best I've had since Santa Fe. Have a margarita and enjoy!

My husband and I went with some friends to try our Nacho Libre. We had heard about it from friends and love trying new Mexican places. It was a lot smaller inside than I thought it would be. Our waitress was great and very helpful. I would say the salsas and the margaritas were the best thing there. They have several different kinds of salsas and each one was really good. We went on a Tuesday and got half off tacos so everyone in our group ordered a couple of tacos each. Well the kitchen really struggled and would only send out one taco at a time and not together by person who ordered so some of the tacos got mixed up. Stuff we ordered was forgotten and our friend's order got completely messed up and he was missing several tacos and sides. The tacos were ok flavor wise but I bit into a piece of metal in my carnitas. I was thankful I didn't swallow that because it could have been really bad. I don't think we will return. read more

Several options to choose from and presentation was simple. We had the Tinga tostada w/guac and the chorizo quesadilla. Service was lowkey but attentive. We were there for a late lunch on a Saturday at 2pm so it was slow (but it was also January-after the holidays). The decor was funny and colorful with the nacho libre theme but simple. I got the El Invader cocktail and my husband got Tommy's Margarita. SO GOOD! read more

First time visit. Food was actually really good. The service was terrible. Inexperienced server, order taken wrong, drinks were very late coming out, no silverware/napkins, until after we got our food. No refills. Bartender was distracted and didn't stay behind the bar. Only 2 people working the front. 1 server - 1 bartender and it was dinner time. The dining room is eclectic and kinda cool. If they keep operating like this, they won't last. No leadership to be found while we were there. read more

This is not Amigos or another mass produced Mexican place with virtually the same menu as all the others. This is fresh food prepared to order. Had a chance to meet the chef and everyone was very friendly both times we have tried it. At least 6 different types of Salsas and a very unique menu overall. Amazing refried beans and Mexican street corn. My Daughter and I tried several different types of tacos from the menu. Everything was extremely fresh with vibrant taste profiles. if I could give negative I would, service was atrocious with two waitresses claiming the other was our server. our dinner order was not taken for 54 minutes. Went in for my first time. Ordered Torta (good), quesadilla (good) and the so-called burrito that you need two hands to hold it. What a disappointment. I only asked for no lettuce and everything else yes. It was the size of a frozen burrito from the store, flat and boring. I was really looking forward to finding the place for me to go to regularly. I called to ask if maybe they gave me a kids order or something but too busy to answer. Oh well read more
