Very clean and the food was good. They were very generous with toppings. The salsa verde was good.

We are regulars here for a reason... As a native Southeast Texan, I can honestly say this place is…read morefire--it's not Tex-Mex run of the mill Mexican joint. It's got authentic flavor from the chips and salsa (their salsa is bangin') to the flan, one of my all-time favorite deserts done properly; it's thick, creamy, and just great. Our go-tos: Camarones Diablo-- (Get medium! The Mexican hot is like Thai hot; unless you really do like ghost peppers, Carolina reapers, etc., you don't want that smoke). Carne Asada--it's just fire. For soup: the Pizole--just trust me. It's worth every penny. Tacos--any of the street tacos are great; birria taco is delicious. (My only critique--tacos de lingua would be a great addition). Dessert: Flan--hands down. It's sold out a lot so I order it when we put our order in so I can take it home with me.

This is our go to Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga. Located in the heart of North Shore, this…read moreplace is right on the corner of N Market St with large windows for people watching. It's very modern with vibrant decor and good music playing. There's a large Bar in the middle of the restaurant with TV's and booths and tables all around. No outdoor dining that I can remember, but I could be mistaken. We've had several dishes, but my go to is the Spicy Burrito with Tinga or grilled chicken. You won't find a spicier burrito with flavor anywhere in town. If you like melted cheese, almost every dish is swimming in it. According to my wife the Margaritas are on point! I prefer a cold beer. The service is good. We're always greeted and have good conversation with the servers and bar tenders when we dine in VS take out. They have a big party for Cinco de Mayo every year. Highly recommend.

Throughout the years, I've always loved coming to this restaurant with friends and family…read more And this recent visit while in town did not disappoint! Upon arrival, a friendly host found us comfortable booth seating behind the bar. The waitress not only answered our food allergy related questions pertaining to certain dish prep but the manager came over to our table to assure us that she would be double checking our order to make sure there was no allergen cross contamination. Such a kind, thoughtful gesture! Mom and I ordered the sampler to split - a huge tray filed with delish gluten free chips, a delish bowl salsa verde, a delish bowl of homemade guacamole, and a delish bowl of homemade cheese sauce. For my lunch, I got two of my favorite tacos on their menu still, the California Club ones, large tacos filled with roasted chicken, a tasty like crema, and avocado. Not as hungry as I, Mom got an Oy Vey Taco, another longstanding goodie, a brisket based taco, which she enjoyed. Our later than planned Wednesday lunch was perfect.

I like the idea of trendy sounding dishes and fun taco names, but I wasn't wowed. Our server took a while to get to us despite being a relatively empty dining room at the time. We both ordered an El Camino margarita, which was an orange-ish one. I asked for it blended but it came out on the rocks, so I just kept it. I ordered two tacos, the Oy Vey and the Taco Royale. The Oy Vey was nothing special and I didn't taste the barbacoa at all. The Taco Royale was much better and had a good blend of flavor between the chicken, chorizo, and pico. The side of corn was not what I ordered but I couldn't flag down the server so I gave in and kept it. It was average corn with a little bit of queso fresco on top. I noticed that the bowl really wasn't too filled for the $14 price point, some fast casual chains can do better bowls. I've had better and worse but the tacos at Taco Mamacita really didn't feel like the gourmet tacos they are billed to be.
