This resturant was amazing! I had tacos and they were delicious! The employees at Plaza Del Sol were so kind and helpful. read more

Stopped in for lunch - 1st time diner. I was sat right away. I tried the Pollo Picoso with tortillas, rice and beans. Everything was hot and tasty. The salsa had a good flavor as well and no stale chips - which is a plus in my book. A lot of good Mexican food in town, but I would eat here again. read more

The food is delicious, the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean, and the service is unbeatable. We moved to the area 2 years ago, and we have been looking for a great Mexican restaurant ever since. We found Plaza Del Sol a little over a year ago and we try to come here every Sunday. read more

Chattanooga's hidden gem for Mexican food. I come here every time I'm in town. Great food, great margaritas and great pricing.

We've gone here often. Love the atmosphere, staff are courteous and food is good. Some of the dishes I prefer to get elsewhere but it's good if you are in the East Brainerd road area. read more

I had the cheese chile relleno in the ground beef chili relleno absolutely Dynamite. My wife got the ground beef chili relleno with rice and beans. Service is awesome 10 stars read more

5* service but slightly bland food drops a star. I don't entirely blame them because frankly they cater to their audience - mostly older folks and families that maybe aren't looking for traditional levels of spice, or things that aren't all layered with cheese and sour cream. However! If you ask for your food to be "Mexican spicy" they will oblige! The fish tacos are unlike any sort of Baja fish style taco you may be expecting - but if you take them at face value they are delicious: deep fried & breaded whitefish with a smokey chipotle honey sauce and served with buttered corn. Great place for large parties - especially the patio. read more

Great food!!! Great service!!! Great atmosphere!!! I recommend everyone should eat here. LFG!!! read more

Great food, good service. Limited parking. Large menu. Coldest beer around town. 4 stars

Best Mexican restaurant in town. I've gone to several. Always the same dry rice and bland entrees. Not here. Everything was freshly made...nothing microwaved. Mango margarita was spectacular. Went back to night and again it was spot on. And they have outdoor patio seating which is a plus! read more

My husband and I absolutely love "The Yellow Bank!" (We have always called it that because it used to be an actual bank, then they painted it yellow and turned it into a Mexican restaurant! Lol!) They always have great food and the customer service can't be beat! We ordered our food to pick it up a couple of weeks ago, and when we got home, we realized they didn't give us our large order of salsa. I called and let them know, he wrote why name down, and today when we ordered take out again, they gave us our large salsa! Give them a try if you love great Mexican food, you will not be sorry! Also, they have THE BEST top shelf margarita! read more

Everyone has a favorite Mexican restaurant and this is mine in Chattanooga. The food is always fresh and hot and served with a smile by the staff. The prices are great and it appears to be ran by a local family which I like too. I even used them once for carry out for a larger group at Christmas. Yes we had Mexican over the holiday and it as great. read more

Food is delicious and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Services is top notch as well. Everything I've ordered from the menu has been very good. I highly recommend the cheese dip or chorizo cheese dip for starters. Drinks are well made and beer is always super cold. We will definitely be returning! read more

Excellent service and strong margaritas!!! Amazing tacos and chimichangas!!!! Cheap bottled Corona

I've been twice in a week. Pretty good. I like their red salsa a lot! Ala cart beef burrito and chicken chimichanga were delicious.

While not a huge fan of Mexican food, this neighborhood restaurant is a pleasant place to have traditional Tex-mex dining with friendly servers and good eats. Menu is pretty typical and the prices are reasonable. We will come back. read more

Really good food. I had the Pollo Hawaii, my girl had the Plaza Burrito with shrimp. Our server Samuel did a great job too.

The worst mexican restaurant ever.! They should not be allowed to refer to themselves as a mexican restaurant. The food was so terrible, I sent it back to the kitchen. I wouldn't feed this to a dog! Get an authentic mexican cook! read more

Family owned place delivers great Mexican food with great service! The drive thru window is super convenient for to go orders.

In a word: serviceable. That's not a ringing endorsement, nor was it meant to be. You can find better food. You can find better salsa (while I would not confuse the salsa with ketchup, it is all red and almost certainly straight from the jar). But, we walked in right at 6 and were seated right away. Our food came out quickly after we ordered (almost too fast). The check was reasonable and didn't come with frighteningly large numbers at the bottom. And the icing on the cake is that it is close to home. You can do better, but this isn't a bad place if you don't feel like it's worth the cost or effort. read more

Tried Plaza Del Sol for the first time and they did not disappoint! The service was friendly and accommodating! The ambiance was nice with multiple seating areas, including a cute patio with umbrellas. We had the Pollo Hawaii dish and it was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and crisp and the chicken was well prepared. The honey chipotle sauce that it was served with hade just enough sweetness to balance out the spicy without being syrupy and we highly recommend it! I chose the black beans and rice and I enjoyed both. The black beans were perfectly prepared, definitely not soggy or overcooked. The rice was good as well. We also got a build your own combo with 3 different items and every item was fantastic, along with the beans and rice. We tried the house lime margarita and the top shelf margarita and we think that the 27 ounces were the best bang for your buck. Though we enjoyed both, we would recommend splurging the extra few dollars and getting the top shelf, this was an excellent freshly prepared Margarita. read more

What a disappointment they have become! The second time I have been in three months. Both times it took them more than 10 minutes to greet me after I was seated. Last time I went in the food was cool. Tonight I left and let them know I had to leave. No apologies or surprise from the staff as they acted like this happens all the time. I hope they get their act together soon. This used to be a good place with service to match. read more

Terrible salsa, that would be better suited as ketchup if I'm being honest. The food overall was at best unpalatable and bland. Even the fountain drinks did not taste right. I'm not sure how you mess up fountain cola but they did. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. This place is not worth the time or money. Will not return. No redeeming qualities. read more

Got the fajitas not served sizzling. Margaritas were half priced for happy hour. Salsa was weak. Bean burito was fair. Server was Green. What can you say about mediocre Mexican. Bill was totally screwed up half price does not mean half price. Screw this place we will not be back. read more

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at. It has a bad atmosphere, parking is bad and it needs remodeled. Next my wife and I went and we just ordered fajitas. It took 35 minutes to get them and no interaction from the wait staff. We got it and it was in a regular plat e not in a traditional skillet. It looked like it was just warmed up in microwave. The food was worst I've ever eaten and the salad was in a small bowl all mixed together. We won't ever be back. read more

I came in at 2:30 and everyone just sat while I ate and didn't offer me refills on my drink and I had to ask for my check I waited so long! Really awful service! I have been coming here for years but the service has gone down hill and I won't be back! read more

My wife and I visited here as soon as we moved to E. Brainerd. It's very similar to Amigos. It's casual Mexican food at a good price. We will definitely come back often. read more

We arrived at 9:45 p.m. and asked if the kitchen was still open. The staff sent us to a table and we were served chips and salsa quickly. The food was mediocre at best. The margaritas were terrible! I will try another place the next time. read more

This establishment has great food variety. Their proportions are adequate for the price. Their cheese dip is also delicious. If you love Mexican food, this is the place to check out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Great food and service. Chips and salsa best in the city. Everything I've gotten there has been spot on.

If I could give them 0 stars I would!!! On Saturday night they are suppose to close at 10:30pm my daughter and I got there at 9:30pm we walked in and they told us that they were already closed. We drove from Ringgold Ga to eat at this Mexican restaurant. read more

Food is terrible and very bland. Salsa is basically black pepper with sauce. Food used to be decent, not sure what happened but last two meals there have been disgusting. Taco was full of water that dripped all over the plate. Plan to never eat here again. read more

Service is always good and the food is well prepared. They have one of the best salsas in town as well. Only down sides are that it is popular and often crowded, with scarce parking. Overall a great place for Mexican food. Try the pollo picasa. read more

Service was slow and food does not meet basic Mexican food standards. Our waiter was so checked out that it took over 40 min to get served. Many others that came in after us were served and out the door before our order arrived. Place was not even busy. Keep driving read more

Not worth the trip, inspite of mentioning a couple of times chicken no beef I was still served beef....

Started not to eat here because of reviews but glad we did. Clean, great service and very good food. Loved the salsa.

This is a good Mexican restaurant. My wife is from SD California and she agrees that this is one of the best around here. Good beans, good service, and good environment. I recommend the chicken chimichangas. Enjoy! read more

The Sol special was fantastic. Food came out quickly and service was great. Chips and salsa had to be refilled several times with my friends and I. We loved it! read more

This WAS an awesome place and a regular family outing almost every week over the past 10+ years. However, they have changed the menu and now force you to purchase meals as a way of raising prices. Even the special, the Sol Special is half the size it as previously. We will not be back!! read more

The food is good, but our service was horrid! I actually had to go ask for items missing from our meal and even asking seemed to confuse them. If you like food that is good, not great, but good and service isn't really important check them out. I won't be back. read more
