We have just moved here from out of state. We ate here a couple of times while traveling here to look for a home. It is located in an unassuming building right on Dayton Pike in Soddy Daisy. First impressions, the chips and salsa are amazing! The food is very reasonably priced, the portions are good and the quality and taste is great. They recently remodeled the whole place and more than doubled the seating capacity while adding a brand new kitchen on the back of the building. The kitchen and restaurant are very clean and well kept (I peeked). We have tried 5 or 6 different items and none disappointed us. However, the best part of this place is the family that run's it and the delightful staff. All of them are so personable and happy. After about 3 visits they actually remembered our name. Their pride in the restaurant really shows in the great service and the food they serve. Delias is the epitome of the the local restaurant you will want to support. Located along Dayton Pike, the green building stands out. There is a sign out front as well, but i don't think that is as easy to find. There is very limited parking in front of the building, but a lot more along both sides. At least one side is gravel so be aware of your mobility when you look for a place to park. On entering, the counter is to the right. Seating is plentiful and there is a wide aisle for walking even when crowded. Seating is mostly booths although there is a large table in the eat. The food generally only takes 10-15 minutes to reach your table after ordering. Everything i have had was either good or great. The quality is excellent for the price. The flavors here are a little stronger than most restaurants, so the food really stands out. read more

I would come here again because the food has very good authentic Mexican flavor and very good salsa verde, you just have to ask. It is not a fancy place so without being said ambiance and staff are not Michelin quality, but they do a great job of attending , and is clean but the food is high quality. We love Delia's. We have been coming here for years because the food and service is always consistent. The ambiance is casual but it's always clean. I have probably eaten everything on the menu. But I usually get the combo with us a taco, enchilada , tamale , rice and beans. It's to big for me to finish. Another one of my favorites are the flautas. So different from most places. These are the size of egg rolls and never greasy! There are many choices of proteins or vegetables. The chicken is white meat and so tender. The Barbacoa is never fatty. The chips and salsa are also nice and keep my tummy from grumbling until the food arrives. Good prices and they have their own parking lot. read more

Any of the servers jump right in and offer anything you might need with a friendly smile and helpful voice. I've eaten here several times and never a single complaint. Hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in Soddy Daisy and its amazing. You can tell from the moment you walk in that it's a family run business, in the best way possible. Staff is friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The food, as authentic as you can get compared to all the 'trendy' Mexican restaurants around. I order the chicken chimichanga and it was stuffed full of onions, peppers, chicken and spices. The rice and beans were just the right amount to compliment the dish. First bad experience was a young boy brought the salsa to the table then he stood there juggling the two bowls several times before sitting them down. Thinking how dirty is his hands. First off I come for the chips. They are the best. Most of the time I don't even make it to the salsa because I eat the chips on the way home. I like their guacamole a lot though so I have to save some chips for that. I have tried quite a few things on the menu and have liked most of them - not a huge fan of cheese sauce anymore so if I order anything else with that on it I will substitute some other sauce, however if you like cheese sauce theirs is good. The tacos have probably been my favorite, but I am still working through the menu that may change. I think everything tastes like it has been made with love. The only thing keeping me from eating here more often is they are closed on Sundays. read more

I had heard tales of a brightly colored, unassuming building in Soddy Daisy which was quietly turning out some of the best Mexican food around but I had never made the effort to seek it out. However, my husband and I were so hungry one afternoon we would have eaten the paint off the side of the road when the orange building appeared before me. With visions of burritos dancing before my eyes, I urged my husband to hit the brakes and pull over. The parking lot was packed with a lot of work trucks, which is always a good sign for a restaurant. It is very small and narrow. The booths and tables have seen better days. The service is friendly and you can tell they have a very loyal clientele. The menu has a lot of choices and everything looked good. We were quickly brought complementary chips and salsa. The chips are different from every other restaurant. They are flaky and crisp. Not from a store bought bag. Definitely homemade and sooooo good. The salsa has just enough heat to keep you coming back for more. I ordered a steak chimichanga. Our little one got a kids meal of rice, beans, chicken and cheese. Hubby ordered Bistec a la Parilla. We also ordered a side place of 3 beef soft tacos because we were really hungry. Our food came so quickly, I honestly thought they had brought us someone else's order. Everything was from-the-garden fresh and piping hot. I thought I was going to have to wrestle the third taco away from my husband because he wolfed the first two down without even looking up from the plate. The two things that prevent a five star rating is atmosphere (it's a small place with very little decor), and margaritas...there aren't any! This is true authentic Mexican food, served lighting fast, at great prices. The menu is large, the people are friendly, and the service is excellent. I also think they have the best chips and salsa. A brief story to illustrate the friendly personal service. My wife and I had eaten there about four times, always being served or checked out by the same female employee. One day after eating, upon checkout, this employee informed me the Point of sale register was down. I said we have no cash. She said that's fine, just pay the next time you're in. She never even wrote down my name!!We responded to an ATM, obtained the cash and returned within 20 minutes to pay her (with a very big tip). Outstanding service? No doubt about it!! read more

The food was as close to Sonoran style Mexican food as we've found in TN. The only downside is no restaurants we've found offer shredded beef or pork as an option in enchiladas or tacos, they all use ground beef. If I want ground beef I'd go to Taco Bell. And I've yet to see burritos with an option to get them smothered in red or green chili sauce and cheese like an enchilada. read more

Since we are new in town I thought I would try this place out because every time I have tired to check it out it's been closed so we got lucky tonight it was open. So first when we got there it look full you think everyone must love this place was wrong. We sat down they kind of threw the menus down I order our food way before anyone else we were last ones to get our food even people who say way after us I had to ask about our food they never once apologize for it too take so long. little do you know they up charge you without saying anything about it. the menus never say anything. When I ask for boxes it seem like the server just didn't want to give them to us. I see so many people loving this place I'm guessing they don't want new people coming since they know how to treat them so bad will never be back. never in my life I felt like these people were treating new people in town so bad like these servers did tonight please stay away from this place. This time, I tried the Hawaiian torta; it's a Mexican sandwich with lettuce your choice of meat loaded with lettuce, pico de piña, jalapeños, and mayo.
