Tonight was one of the worst experiences we've had here yet. There were three of us and our friend ordered a steak burrito and wanted red sauce instead of cheese sauce. Wanted the rice and beans in the burrito. They came in the burrito however they put cheese sauce on it and then charged him for a side of rice ($2), AND a side of red sauce ($3.50). The burrito was small and cold. My husband ordered the Hawaiian tacos, again, cold. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup which we had here a week ago and it was amazing. Tonight it was awful! I told the waitress and she didn't seem to care. It had an off flavor and I was afraid to eat it. It was only 8:30 and she was basically rushing us to pay and leave. On our way out she actually said " I hope the soup is better next time"! It's too bad this restaurant isn't more consistent and that a manager isn't checking in with the customers. We had 10 people in our group, everyone was served but my husband and me. I guess he forgot to order our food, when we did get the food my chicken taste like it was cooked days ago. It was hard and tough as well as just warm. The waited didn't give us time to finish speaking before he was on to the next person. The tomatoes were rotten also. Never eating there again. read more

You know, even being accustomed to SoCal Mexican food, this place is pretty good! The atmosphere and proximity to the harbor alone is worth sitting and enjoying a basket of chips. Don't bring Abuela here, I'm not saying it's a hidden cocina in East Tennessee but you won't be disappointed. I'm staying over on a boat trip and had the chimichangas yesterday, and today decided to rock a cheeseburger for something different. Both trips I was immediately greeted and provided a dump truck bed of chips and accompanying salsa. The margarita passed muster and they even know what a Cadillac is- bonus points. We went on a Friday night. The Food was good. The service was quick! The beer was cold. Clean restaurant.

It was a warm evening with the world just beginning to crawl back out of pandemic haze, and Amigo's was like a bowl of chicken tortilla soup for the soul. 5 pm can be a long wait nearly everywhere, so we braced for a Saturday wait more like on Mother's Day. Pleasant surprise when our "30 minutes" turned into 15. We were seated and eating endless bowls of tortilla chips before we knew it. For now the menu is online, which is a creative solution to sterilization. You'll find plenty of the classics you'd expect with a few twists and surprises. Decent prices and large portions meant almost everybody went home stuffed. Could we help it after eating 5 bowls of chips? It's not our fault; no one can eat just one (bowl). My choice was the chimichanga to break my string of 500 in a row enchiladas supremes and what a night to do it. Could have been crispier but that would just mean unhealthier. Add rice and beans and even not-cost-extra guacamole and it was big! Others ordered fajitas (good), hard shell tacos (great), gluten-free (gluten-free). The one downer: for a Mexican restaurant the food took a long time to come out. Apparently the head chef was out this night (hope all's well and it's just a head cold). We aren't complaining and they managed to pull off a lot with things still tender coming out of quarantine. This meant we pictured two Central HS new grads back there on YouTube looking up "hard shell taco". On the bright side, when in doubt bring more chips! We never had an empty bowl before two more came. The cheese dip appetizer was good too, and a welcomed change from the 8 salsa bowls we polished off. It was a group of 7 okay, don't judge. So probably the longest time I've spent in a Mexican restaurant in a while, but with good friends there, time flew. Details: easy access by land or sea. Plenty of parking and most of the time dock space to hop off for dinner. So drive somewhere else, park, take your boat, dock, eat, float back to your car full. I know my friends will return; they practically own stock in this place. And we'll accompany next time we're in town. read more

This review is for takeout. The food tasted fresh and I loved how the entrees were nicely laid out in their to-go containers. It was not slopped together. Their chips and salsa are delicious! Chips are fresh and crispy, salsa is nice with just a bit of heat. Flavors in the food aren't greasy like some other traditional Mexican restaurants are. Their rice is also a little different from most other Mexican restaurants - delicious, moist, has veggies, and good flavor! Nice portions, menu selections, and fair prices in this economy. Amigos is a great place to get okay Mexican food, but the fact that they have their own dock and outdoor seating booster my rating from a 3 (for food) to a 4 (ambiance). I've been here several times but mostly get take-out. They have a full bar and are right on Harrison Bay, so you can't really go wrong if you're looking for a relaxing place to enjoy some dinner and cocktails with friends. Great for a celebration as well since they can accommodate large parties. I went with a group of 14 women and we had great service. read more

Had lunch yesterday. Not sure why we were not seated out front, there were plenty of tables. We were seated on the left side. Not on the corner, three tables back from the corner. We could see the water. We have a boat so we've been by there many times. We should have said something but we assumed they had split tab,es between two waiters. The waiters should have been able to split tables on the front deck. Our waiter took our order and showed back to bring the tab. The food was good to very good. Hopefully, we can go back by boat some time. From what I could tell, there wasn't a lot of places to tie up for larger boats. read more

Been a regular here since they opened since I live down the road. The servers are not always good, and there are always a bunch of teenagers standing around doing nothing. The food quality is hit or miss. East Ridge is the best location for food and service. If you want good service, sit at the bar. Eric & Christina are great! The girl that bartends on Friday night is horrible & ignores us. They are not staying open later for summer hours like they did in the past, and that's been disappointing for many people. Call before you go because sometimes they close before 7pm even on Saturday nights. Hours are not consistent, they just close whenever they feel like it. The food is usually pretty good and I'd suggest eating outside because it smells like cleaning chemicals inside...which is strange because it doesn't look like they ever clean. This is my place to go for Mexican food in Cleveland! The Pollo Loco is orgasmic. The dips are also superb, but the cheese one is to die for; quesadillas are fantastic; even the steak is great, with an interesting melange of spices; and the rhythmic shake-shake of the bartender's drink mixing adds to the charm of the place. Sometimes they are busy but you'd never know it from the staff, they always have the best customer service, from the manager to the servers and make sure there is a clean place for patrons to sit. read more

I always forget about this location as it is one of the coolest but rather remote. we started off with some really good half-price margaritas and then we had nachos chicken cheese and you know the rest all the good stuff that you can always get at AMigos! enjoy a nice walk by the water after you're done to walk some of that good damn food off afterwards. This is a fantastic spot to go to when the weather is nice. Sit out on the patio overlooking Harrison Bay. Amigo's food is fine for what it is, basic Americanized Tex-Mex. Chips and salsa are good, burritos are ok. It's not authentic Mexican food, but it's tasty and fine. I like some queso dip but I don't care for it on all of my food. Hmmm... when the truth needs to be made, well it's about this place. Great location and needs to be freshen up, but what a location. On the bay! That's the highlight and not much more after this. We get seated quickly and get our drink orders. We order steak fajitas, three taco combo, and carnitas. I've enjoyed Mexican food most of my life, and I know Mexican food. The salsa was like marinara and not like any salsa I've ever had. It did have a nice touch of heat though. The server serves the fajitas, the maybe 3 taco and the carnitas. The 3 tacos were not the dish delivered along with the carnitas. As I was eating the first so called carnita aka carne asada, lol, the server comes and tells me it is not carnitas I was eating and takes my plate away! I'm like what just happen, lol. But hey I got to taste their carne asada taco which was ok. So we wait for the proper dishes to show. They show and not what I expected of carnitas. Not crispy and no flavor. Greasy. The 3 tacos were just ok. The chicken did have a good flavor. Overall this place reminded me of a chain type restaurant. Below average food and service for sure. Not one to revisit. read more

The Dining Divas went to lunch at Amigos in Harrison on Wednesday June 24th. There 13 of us and we were seated outside immediately. We had two tables but we were close enough to be able to socialize with each other. This restaurant is located at Island Cove Marina and has a spectacular view of the Tennessee River. Our server, Stormy, was very attentive and brought us complimentary salsa and chips. She is a great asset to the restaurant. It took longer than expected to prepare our meals but there was 13 of us and most received their meals at the same time. Only two came out later than the rest. The Nacho Supreme was tasty and even the half order was quite large. Most enjoyed their meal but the ones that ordered tacos were very disappointed. They were dry and had guacamole in them, which was not mentioned on the menu. Because of this we rated the restaurant food a 3 but the atmosphere and serve a 5. That gives the overall rating a 4. read more
