I travel a lot and look for restaurants like this. Friendly staff, big portions and good food. Very modest prices!

I've spent years in this town as a college student and after, yet for some reason I've never had…read morethe opportunity to eat here before. So finally after all these years, I came here with my dad. Service was fast and helpful. There are many tables and places to sit. They have a large menu too. I ordered the Beef Chimichangas with all the sides, and my dad had the Chicken Fajitas. Food came out pretty quick. I will say, the portion size is incredible. The price is reasonable depending on the time you come for lunch or dinner, and they give you so much. For me, I love all the sides and some places tend to give a meager amount, but not this place. And they didn't even cheap out on the guacamole amount too. I had some to take home at the end, so I was happy about that. Although the food was decent and plentiful, I will say that it lacked flavor for me. It wasn't amazing in comparison to all the Mexican places I've tried around the area. And also I guess from eating Mexican food in California, I have a high standard. Like I reiterated before, great portion size but a little disappointing regarding the flavor. It felt like it was missing something, maybe a little salt but also something more that I can't put my finger on. I'm not sure if I would come back.

At least they served an adequate amount of sauce with the enchilada, something that doesn't happen nearly enough. Service: 1-2 stars. Out of the four employees I encountered, only one managed a fake smile, and none gave a happy hoo-haw about whether I had a good experience or not. Value: 4 stars for my $5.99 lunch special. Ambience: Average.

My wife and I love to find new places to eat. We decided to get Mexican food for lunch and my wife…read morefound this restaurant on Google. It doesn't have any real flashy decor, it's very humble in it's atmosphere and setting. But where it really show off it's greatness is in the food and the service. Our server was "Excellent"! Very helpful with our order and because of our dietary needs we were very specific on what we wanted and didn't want. She made it all happen and when it did, OMG the food was so good (the salsa could have used more cilantro, but I'm nit picking at that) and there were very reasonable portions for a very reasonable price. I know of at least 3 other places in the vicinity of this restaurant that are not only higher priced for what you get (very little), but the food is bland and poorly prepared and/or a poor quality of ingredients that make the food undesirable. This place has got it's act together and does it well. We will be visiting them many times in the future. They are truly worth your time to check out and get good value for your money. Hope this helps :)

Fist, I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered a burger with chorizo. It was huge and very good, messy but good. The person with me had a chicken quesadilla and it was big. He comes all the time an loves it. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of restaurant and rest rooms. They had a bar to sit at with draught beer (+1) and I think it had a full bar but not sure. The waitress was friendly and service was good. This is my new favorite restaurant. I was told on Friday and Saturday after six the place is packed.

I guess they're small b/c of how little meat they put in them. I have boys with an appetite, and they looked at the 3 tiny birria tacos in the box and laughed. They were still hungry after they ate their meals. Not much food for a lot of $$$. My kids commented they'd need to go to Taco Bell later. I don't think we'll be back.

That being said, the last two times I went, the food was entirely wrong. One time, I was given entirely the wrong order. The next time, the quesadillas were missing all of the ingredients we paid extra for. Rather than remaking the food properly, we had to prove the items weren't included and then we were given little containers with some of the ingredients to add on ourselves. It wasn't the same as if it were prepared and cooked together. The owner is unhelpful and watches while his staff flounders. Speaking of staff, it's one really lovely girl trying to run the entire front end by herself while the owner watches on. Before these last two experiences, I raved about the food.

Inside was a bit loud so opted for outside with the beautiful weather going on. The fried ravioli was crispy and filled with meat although completely lacking flavor, the fritto misto (calamari) was crispy like styrofoam. There was no true crisp or crunch and was very sad with no flavor, although the bell peppers were the one thing that saved it but was hard to balance with the bitter fried lemon wheels they threw in. The tartar sauce was an airy liquid that resembled nothing what it should be. The bread that was offered was laying near the entrance/exit of the building for anything to land on from bugs to trash or even someone to cough on passing by. Not sure if it was meant to be appealing or convenient for staff or guests. Almost gave up hope but then had a really tasty bottle of cab named Smith & Elliot Cabernet, highly recommend for a middle ground cab at a steal for 40$ for the bottle on Wednesdays, paired with their Wednesday special carbonara (21$). Really delightful pasta, filled with flavor meat and sauce. Definitely would return again for the carbonara pasta, wine and Riley's service.
