This was my first time here and wow I really loved it. We both had a bowl with one of us doing chicken and the other having beef. This was really good. So much so that we went a few days later and ate again. It's so much better than Chipotle and you don't have to worry about food poisoning!!

Steak Salad Bowl

I work in the food industry so it is very rare that I do this. This picture was taken 10 minutes after picking up. It was supposed to be a salad based bowl. Everything is drowned in queso and sour cream. Side queso was cold and very thick. The chips are kind of stale. Just save your money and go to salsarita's!! Very disappointed.

We picked this place because one of our favorite restaurants in Ooltewah had to close for the night due to staffing and because they had Gluten Free menu....This place was amazing. Staff was so welcoming. All the food was fresh and tasted great. It was very clean. The portions were large, I took half of my bowl back to Atlanta and ate it today and it was just as good...We will be back next time we are in town..

I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic of my bowl...haha! BUT great food; better pricing. I love to order their rice bowls with chicken and vegetables! It's sooo good. They also have great chips that are thin but crunchy and salty! I love them. Quick tip: They do offer a student discount for Southern Adventist University students, so if you show them your student ID, you'll get a little discount off your meal! I would recommend Dos Bros to anyone! It's a great environment, and very friendly service. I will continue to return to this location!

Visited this restaurant Saturday and Sunday for their opening events for the Ooltewah community and SAU students. When I first heard about Dos Bros, I thought was similar Chipotle, Moe's or Salsarita's... I had to find out what the hype was all about.. After meeting with the owner, Kush, I learned that his company is better than all of those others combined. He graciously gave me (and my friends) a tour of the restaurant and I learned that made their restaurant stand apart from the others: the quality of their food (for example, they soak their chickpeas overnight).. I ordered their steak bowl the first night and absolutely loved it.. I'm not a big fan of steak in general, but I will definitely be ordering that again. It was flavorful, had a nice kick, and had the right amount of chewiness to it. The second evening I had their chickpea and sweet potato curry bowl and I honestly did judge this item by its looks but wanted to try one of their vegan options. I'd have to say that I liked it. I wasn't expected a curry option at a Mexican burrito place but I liked that it was different. I'd recommend that one to my vegans/vegetarians out there. Friendly staff, great owner, good food. They get my 5 stars for sure.

This place is really good for a quick place to meet up with friends and have lunch. You can definitely tell that this location puts time and effort into their food. I usually get a bowl, and I can never complain . It's also pretty affordable !

Solid food but rude customer service. There's only one guy that's nice, but besides that, expect poor service and attitude.

Small portions, most employees are not very kind other than the guy who says "have a blessed day" every time.

I ordered the Carne Asada, which is usually my "go to" when I eat at a mexican restaurant. Wait time wasn't so bad. The chips and salsa were good too, the tortilla chips were crunchy and salsa was flavorful. But unfortunately, my Carne Asada fell flat. I asked the beef to be cooked at medium but the beef was tough and overcooked. I was surprised at how dry it was. There were some pieces of the beef that were decent, but overall just too overcooked and dry for me. It was pretty disappointing actually for my first time here. Service was great, they were attentive and checked up on us from time to time. I just felt like the Carne Asada price at $17.99 did not correlate with the quality of meat at all. The other sides were good, like the avocado, beans and rice. And the overall portion size was great too. But for the dish as a whole, I can't justify the price for that. I've been to other mexican restaurants in the area with better Carne Asada that I'd choose in a heartbeat. Despite that experience, I'd come back here but I'd definitely order something else.

My husband tried something new, Enchiladas Suizas and found a new favorite. The chips they bring were fresh and warm and the salsa was delicious with just the right amount of heat for everyone. From the start, I noticed a severe lack of Mexical spice in the salsa as well as the entrees. It tasted more like Italian tomato sauce than Mexican Salsa. El Maguey could greatly improve their food's flavor by adding some Cumin and Coriander to nearly everything. Also, the Taco Salad could use way more lettuce. Mine had almost none and I ordered it because I needed some veggies in my diet. Mostly my Taco Salad consisted of sour cream and beans and some tasteless Chicken. While that isn't my idea of a salad, I might have enjoyed it if only it had some Cumin and Coriander. No such luck. Flavorless. El Maguey can best decide what flavor profile their frequent customers prefer. I prefer the Mexican food flavors of Arizona, New Mexico and California, but I rarely drive through this area. So my opinion may not apply. Good luck to El Maguey!

So finally after all these years, I came here with my dad. Service was fast and helpful. There are many tables and places to sit. They have a large menu too. I ordered the Beef Chimichangas with all the sides, and my dad had the Chicken Fajitas. Food came out pretty quick. I will say, the portion size is incredible. The price is reasonable depending on the time you come for lunch or dinner, and they give you so much. For me, I love all the sides and some places tend to give a meager amount, but not this place. And they didn't even cheap out on the guacamole amount too. I had some to take home at the end, so I was happy about that. Although the food was decent and plentiful, I will say that it lacked flavor for me. It wasn't amazing in comparison to all the Mexican places I've tried around the area. And also I guess from eating Mexican food in California, I have a high standard. Like I reiterated before, great portion size but a little disappointing regarding the flavor. It felt like it was missing something, maybe a little salt but also something more that I can't put my finger on. I'm not sure if I would come back.

This restaurant had great reviews so we decided to try…read more It's a nice, simple restaurant back in a strip behind some other businesses- so you may not see it from the road. Decor is simple, but plenty of seating and even plenty of large tables for large groups. We were seated promptly and given salsa & fresh warm chips right away. Salsa is something we're particular about. This was great salsa! A little more cilantro than I prefer, but still edible for me. The heat was perfect- between a mild & medium- maybe closer to medium, but didn't make my mouth burn after eating a bunch. The tortilla chips were white corn, thin and crisp. Not salted, so I salted each of mine before dipping in the salsa. Also, they bring a bottle of salsa and 2 bowls, so we each had our own bowl for double-dipping. We both ordered chimichangas. He ordered the ground beef, I ordered shredded chicken. They came with cheese sauce poured over, and served with refried beans that also had a little cheese melted on top (I really liked that!), Spanish rice, and a pile of shredded lettuce with pico, guacamole & sour cream. I really liked how the chimichanga was just a single one and wasn't too huge. It was still more than I could eat! But I'd rather have a reasonable size meal at a reasonable price, instead of a huge meal for a huge price, that you could never finish. I ate 1/2 the beans & rice and maybe 1/3 of the chimichanga. That was a very good chimichanga. It was packed with meat! And the meat was juicy & tender. I loved the cheese sauce on top. Our server was working very hard to serve quite a few tables. It took him a while to take our order after bringing our drinks. Because he also had a huge party of 20, that he was serving. He was nice and our food came out very soon after we ordered. The next time we travel here to Chattanooga, we plan to come back!
