I love to try local Mexican restaurants when I travel. We stopped here and enjoyed a nice meal. The portions were exceptional and a nice surprise. Most places have scaled back on portion sizes and increased prices. This was not the case here. We got the combo fajitas for two and a supreme burrito and they were excellent. The queso and salsa were really good too. My only complaints that keep this from being 5 stars were the attitude of the waitress and the margarita. The lime margarita was incredibly salty and I didn't enjoy it. I would have to try a flavored one if I were to have a chance to come again. Overall, though, I really enjoyed the food. read more

Now we have gunfire in the parking lot. Likely, the fake reviewer Mark C, who would rather try and review others than a real review of a place. I grew up and lived in Cleveland many years and drove by here every day. Had many lunches. Just better options. Btw, those fake reviews by Mark got his Elite status revoked. The place has potential and seems to always be packed. I just don't understand why? This town has several Mexican options much better. My only guess is the location gets those who don't want to drive far. Food is normal for Mexican, but the service is spotty at best. During my visit I saw two different groups get up and leave because they got tired of waiting plus another table complaining of food they never got. First time here today. Had the Mexican style steak tacos. Really really tasty. I would order them again. Good price and good service. Everyone was friendly and the ambiance was cool and chill. The side dish of beans was cold but still tasty. Friend I was with had chicken taco salad and really loved it. Good value for the money. I always notice that there parking lot was packed. There are more than a few Tex-Mex restaurants in Cleveland, TN. I checked this one out with some friends on a Sunday evening. When we went, the restaurant was mildly busy in the days before COVID-19. We were a party of 6 but our server was great in not only keeping all of our drink orders correct but offering advice on what to order or how to customize. I ordered the taco salad and its flour tortilla shell bowl was perfectly crispy with a giant scoop of guacamole on top. Around the table, everyone's meals looked delicious, especially the Hawaiian Pineapple. This is served in a hollowed-out half pineapple with marinated grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp, cooked with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and tortillas. I would definitely order that next time I'm in the neighborhood and stop by. The menu is huge and there's something for everyone. This place is always packed and I would say good Mexican food. Nothing very different about it for me that makes me say we must go back. Unfortunately we haven't had the best service when we were here but nice servers just not attentive. I have only been here twice so may not be reflective of how they regularly serve. I think if they decorated the restaurant to look more like a traditional Mexican restaurant would greatly improve the atmosphere! read more

We have ordered here and picked up our meal at their drive through window a couple of times in the past couple of months. Because of God Sheffield we always get the chicken fajitas for two without cheese or sour cream but all of their entres looked good when we used to eat inside. Another Mexican restaurant in Cleveland!!! Shocker, I know. First off, this place is huge and it seems every time we've driven past it, the parking lot is jammed full. So, going in, we had high hopes that this place was gonna be da bomb...not so much. Second, the dining room was a bit warm for our taste. Then again, it didn't help that the place was packed and the party of 25 next to us asked to have the ceiling fans turned off. So, it's pretty much your typical Mexican joint with all the same food...just different names and combo numbers. We weren't too terribly impressed...until my dinner arrived. It was half a pineapple slap full of fajita type meats and veggies!!! It wasn't described as such on the menu but, this thing was a beast. A gutted pineapple with steak, chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions and of course...pineapple chunks. Queso was run of the mill and the salsa was lacking something. Service was fairly decent, considering how busy they were. Would we go here again? Ehh...maybe. If we just happen to be over on Michigan Ave and haven't had dinner yet. read more

We ate there for the first time yesterday, Thursday 3/5/2020 and it was amazing. First off the atmosphere is a very cool vibe and welcoming. Lots of seating and really clean and upbeat employees. Service was fast, we were seated right away and asked if we wanted a drink and chips and salsa. Great food and drink menu and very affordable for everything we got. I got a wet steak burrito that was huge and so delicious and I had a Warm Apple Pie drink that was so good. Also on Thursday's, it's "$1 house Margarita's" which you would think for $1 they would be watered down, NO they were perfect. Our waiter was Hector and he was so nice and attentive and got my food order completely right and he made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service. I'm always going to request Hector if he is there when we go. This is going to definitely be one of our new favorite places to go eat. Highly recommend. read more

Saturday night was pretty busy but we were seated quickly and our waiter was great! Started off with chips and salsa, of course. Were the chips great? Not really...but the fact that they brought each person at the table their own bottle of salsa so you didn't have to worry about double dipping?Right on! Had a jumbo mango margarita which was tasty, refreshing and serious with the alcohol content--none of that watered down business. Had 3 OG carnitas tacos that were flavorful and filling, with a nice, squeezable hunk of lime rather than the dainty sliver you can practically see through at most Mexican restaurants. I work just Down the road, they are usually very inviting and attentive during lunch. I am a smoker and they have a Patio for seating and smoking. Upon arrival one of the main entrance doors was locked forcing me to walk around to the other door. Once seated (close to the patio) I tried to go out and the patio door was locked as well. Asking politely for someone to unlock the door to three people, I was then told "the manager had the key and was packing a to go order so I could go out front to smoke..." (Safety Violation - ALL doors are to be unlocked during business hours) even if you can't spell English see the picture. Normally my host and waiter are very attentive however today this woman was curt and to put it simply didn't have time or interest on helping me as a customer... until I handed her a 20 for a drink with no change requested and then the keys came from oblivion to unlock all the doors. I frequent many of Cleveland's Mexican Restaurants and most of the time I know someone on staff. Today, if this were my first visit, I'd NEVER come back! They have 2/4/1 margaritas on Tuesday night with entree... I've been here before. It's not my first pick but close to work and it's decent. However, it's COVID! Why would you not put your customers FIRST? People in a small town talk and Cleveland TN is small enough for your business to stay or fail because of word of mouth. My normal servers/hosts know me and are very attentive. I think the management need to remember that customers drive their business and let someone take a key to open the other front door and patio should be something that you would want them to do rather than making a regular customer question if they will come back. We were brought to this restaurant by regular locals. Having lived in Cleveland for 3 years my only regret is that we have only just now found this gem of a Mexican restaurant amongst the many ones that are established here in this city! The food was served up quickly and to perfection and the amount served was abundant for the relatively small price tag paid for what we ordered!!! I ordered the Sautéed Seafood over rice platter and it was so delicious, I will be back to try their other seafood entree's and Chimichangas etc. Just so many options!!! My husband got the fajita pineapple with steak shrimp and pork!!! It was overflowing!!!! The service was Super!!! Extra special!!! I am s little torn on this place while the food is tasty, the atmosphere is nice, service a little slow but friendly. I just have never seen Mexican food like this before or heard of some of the things on the menu. I don't know where guacamole salad comes from but it in no way shape or form a mexican side dish. I have never been to a mexican restaurant that serves guacamole as a side rather then traditional rice and beans, its just rice and guacamole salad. I have never had to order a side of beans with my meal at a mexican restaurant before. The most confusing part to me is what there idea of quesadilla is i usually get the fajita quasidilla which is very tasty but i have never had to eat one with a knife and fork before and the regular quesadilla my mom was surver the other night looked like something my 7 year old nephew would make at home. My mother actually had to order a second one. It came with nothing on the side no sour cream, no guacamole no nothing just a medium sided tortilla folded in half with some white cheese. It was the sadest little quesadilla i have ever seen. The last thing besides they make very good, strong margaritas is why in a mexican restaurant do you need to clarify your tacos are mexican style. The service here is fast however the food is very. I went around 11:30am and ordered beef nachos. When the waiter brought it out it had chicken and beef and a watery base. The waiter even checked with me to make sure I wanted just beef nachos so when he brought that out I was very disappointed. So he took it back and brought back beef nachos however you could tell that all they did was remove the chicken because it still had chicken piece remains. Once again the nachos had a very watery base, not sure if it was the white queso they used or what. When we first got there they brought out chips and salsa and we asked for a small queso and that queso he brought out was even watery and cold. Our waiter was nice to us in our face however every time he turned to his coworkers he would talk about us in Spanish thinking we didn't understand him. I personally would not recommend this restaurant to anyone due to my experience but if you would like to go and check it out by all means I am no one to stop you. read more

Went here again Thursday evening for their $1.00 Margarita House Special, seemed like everyone in the super packed place was chugging them, down. Yes, they were really good, great, and for a buck, was very impressed. For dinner the side chick had this monster entree, the top dinner in the *House Special* section..this thing had everything, Shrimp, steak-pork-chicken- chorizo- scallions-cactus-peppers-several different chesses cut into boards, lol..and everything else you can imagine, corn or flour tortillias and the traditional side platter of refried beans-rice- guac.sour cream. pico de gallo,shredded lettuce I had my regular shreded beef chimicanga platter( was great as usual) The pics show my side chicks entree, and although I do not like this type of thing, I sampled and being all grilled, it was fastinating, and an FYI.. noticed many other customers buying this same entree,. so I figure it is very p[opular. Total price for the 2 complete dinners ,with her many margarita,s and my super tall 32 oz. Budweiser on tap came to $32.00 plus change, excluding $10.00 tip to a very professional and charming server who deserved every penney. We waited 15 minutes before someone came and took our drink order then we had to wait another 20 minutes before they came back to take our food order. Let me say the place was not busy at 2:30 in the afternoon. We waited another 45 minutes for our food and when it finally came it wasn't what we had ordered. It was all wrong. Worst meal I've ever had here in 4 years. Ordered the enchilada Supreme and they were not even lukewarm. The red sauce tasted like they took a can of ravioli and strain the sauce off of it. Not good at all. One bad meal in 50 is not bad odds but I'm hoping they just were having an off day.
