Came here on a Friday night while visiting Chattanooga. Lively Tex-Mex spot with nice staff & friendly crowd. I sat at the bar near the door and ordered a margarita. Tasted good, nothing special. I ordered tacos (birria? beef?). Anyway, they were good, but the dipping sauce was not as flavorful as it could be. The meal was filling, but nothing stood out in particular. first I would like to say the food was good service was decent it was only one waiter and one cook there. I have been there before and it wasn't bad so I thought I would go again we had finished eating when he brought the little card reader out which I thought was strange considering that they brought a receipt out last time and the tried to charge us for 1 margarita 2 soft drinks and 3 meals $88! thats when I looked at the menu and realized those prices weren't right so I went up asked for a receipt and he said that I could not have it and that be cause on the little ipad I signed and clicked no receipt but I watched him put the receipt in a little box on his little waiter stand so the moral of this store is check your receipt before he tried to charge us 22$ more. read more

We stumbled upon Mexiville on a Friday night and had a grand time. Food was surprisingly good, huge menu and spicy actually meant spicy! Everyone was happy from kids to Grandma. I had lunch here recently and have to say, if this is what passes for Mexican food in Chattanooga, then I feel sorry for the people who live in Chattanooga. I had the the beef enchilada, beef tamale, rice and beans. The rice and beans were so bland that I was embarrassed for the cook. The masa for the tamale was very dry and generic. To be honest, the XLNT brand of tamales that can be bought in a grocery store might taste better. There was nothing remarkable about the enchilada either. The best tasting dish was the salsa, which looked like tomato sauce, but it was decent. The chips are bought in bulk and boring. I really hate writing reviews like this one, but the food was a huge disappointment. I would rather go to Taco Bell than eat here again. read more

We came in for lunch on a Saturday and had a poor experience. It seemed like they weren't ready to be open and the service was slow, despite being empty. The chips they gave us were undercooked, and the salsa bowls were just slightly filled up. The entrees weren't good either. The enchiladas came out lukewarm, and the cheese wasn't even fully melted. The enchilada sauce wasn't very flavorful. The only item we liked was the really spicy salsa that we requested. Next time we are in the area, we'll have to check out other Mexican spots. read more

To start- the sign outside said $3.50 margs. We sat down and the waitress told us they only serve beer, no liquor. The inflatable beer cans hanging from the ceiling should have turned us away, but that didn't stop us. We had to ask the server for specials which she informed us were $1 tacos. Ok so I'm from Arizona so the food doesn't compare to my home state but I'm making this review to compliment the staff. Yesterday the non profit I'm apart of decided to go eat here and about 30+ of us walked into this place with no warning and the 2 people who served us took us on like champions! Props to them. Again I hope that we weren't too overwhelming for them. I completely understand what it's like to be overwhelmed in a restaurant and they got us down good. The food wasn't bad at all either. I particularly liked the rice and beans a lot. The two that worked the night of April 17th, 2021 are badasses and they deserve high fives and recognition and cakes and pies and stuff. Pros: Food was ok though served in take out boxes. They have Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi. Queso and salsa was pretty good. Restaurant was very clean and service was good. Cons: Not a strong selection of beer on tap. The most disappointing part was they visually advertised a 10% military discount but refused to honor it for me. Rather, the server/manager just said "we're not doing that today." If you advertise it, you should honor it. read more

First off, I'm from New Mexico. "Y'all" Tennesseeans simply do not understand what good Mexican food consists of - "y'all" never heard of green and red Chile, elotés, or calabacitas. If you're thinking "I know what a green chile is" and you're picturing a jalapeño, you're dead wrong. Now. This place has great food - if you like spice, ask the waiter for the actual HOT salsa to start with your chips. There's a tip for ANY true Mexican place - the tomato purée that they serve off the bat to all you white people scared of a little spice is not the ONLY salsa in the restaurant. Believe me, if they're playing Mariachi music and your waiter/waitress has an accent, they've got the good stuff in the kitchen. Ask and you shall receive. I had the enchiladas, which were great, in addition to a traditional margarita. They make their own sour mix here, which is traditional: lemon, lime, and sugar. Add in real tequila (none of that fake wine shiz) and you've got an excellent drink. They do serve blue corn tortillas here, which is another thing that most people won't get... I saw some dumbass in another review asking why you'd serve them to an adult and not a child, as if they were a novelty item.... sheesh. This restaurant is on Market Street and is within the boarder of the Friday night "Nightfall" event. For our out of town guests, Nightfall is held every night during the summer and they block off one block each way at the corner of Market and ML King and hold a free concert in Miller Plaza. Motorcycles park in this area and there are food vendors, beer and wine. It opens at 530 PM, music around 7 and I think it wraps up around 10 PM. Great from kids and adults alike. OK back to the restaurant. My MC friends have been getting to the restaurant around 6 PM to park our scooters outside the restaurant and will sit inside out of the heat. We will normally have a few drinks and some food. Chewy (spelling), is the owner and is a great host. Inside they have a small bar, tables and booths and serve draught beer (+1) and good food. If you come on times other than nightfall, you will have to find public parking on street or parking garage. Actually you will have to do that any time LOL. I have had the chicken Nachos and they are awesome my friends have had the tacos and really enjoy them. Food is good and reasonable and typical Mexican food. On Friday night, they also have Karaoke and there never seems to be a long wait if you are brave or drunk enough to get up and sing. I give it a 3+ and suggest you give it a try. Several high school students in town for an academic competition spotted this place on their walk through the area and insisted that the whole group go their for lunch. They were right. It was wonderful. Shrimp with Chorizo was my selection and it was quite good. Chorizo was spicy, but did not overcome the flavor of the shrimp and it was all bathed in a nice orange cheese sauce. The shrimp were a bit rubbery. In our party were four others, each ordering different dishes. Everyone agreed that this food was very good. The portions were very big and everyone had leftovers. Some took them with them, others, like me, left them on the plate. Service was prompt and friendly. Dia de Muerta decorations lined the wall, and there were unique ones. I had to snap pictures of all of them. Of interest were the superhero versions and the one of Mickey Mouse. read more

The management is terrible. I recently bought a three taco dinner and after eating two found a long black hair in the third. I called the waiter and he said he would make it good by replacing the hairy taco. Needless to say I completely lost my appetite. My request was to remove the dinner from my bill. He said this was against management rules. The actual manager was not present when I was there. He was at a different restaurant. I called the restaurant he worked at the following day and he wasn't there. I left a message asking him to call me but he never returned my call. read more

The food was pretty typical Mexican fare. We happened to go in on a Friday night during Nightall and were treated to some hilarious karaoke. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken as we being seated. The drinks showed up close to 10 minutes later. After waiting another 10-15 minutes, I flagged down another waiter and asked if we could order. Several minutes afterwards, our waiter emerged from the back and took our order. At some point, I asked for some limes for our drinks. Another server emerged with a handful of limes in her hands...literally...and then dumped them on the table.
