The boba was okay. Staff was friendly. The drinks with the place is kind of a hit or miss as some of the drinks are good and some of the drinks like the slush are pretty meh. Not much ambience, usually just a bunch of students coming in.
I came here because I'm on a mission to try all the boba shops in Manhattan. I was a bit skeptical since the review was average here. I walked in and there's two snackpass machines (annoying because did you know this charges you an extra fee too?!). There's one girl working and she didn't even bother to say hi or welcome me. Oh what a modern time, machines replacing customer service. Honestly I'm not a fan of ordering off a machine. If I'm trying a new place I want recommendations. I want suggestions. Anyways ordering ahead on the snack pass app or in shop is the same price. A drink comes out to be over $7 with taxes and fees.. I got the cream brûlée uji matcha at 50% and light ice, well it was pretty much all ice, and way too sweet. The texture is very creamy and the matcha was pretty good. Just disappointed by the overload on ice and sweetness. Half way through the drink, the taste buds do start adjust so it wasn't ALL that sweet but still sweeter than what I was hoping for. The crème brûlée is thicker so when mixed, the drink is not as runny. It was dead quiet in the boba shop, and outlets are blocked so you can't charge laptops or phones. They do offer free wifi but again who doesn't in todays age?! They do have an "employee only" sign on the restroom but the staff told me I could use it. It's very small and overcrowded with cleaning supplies. Overall I do think things could have been better so it's a 2 star.
Love Moge Tea. Found this new location and decided to try them out to see the consistency of service, quality and ambiance. Placed my order in the kiosk and found it pretty easy. Now just waiting. Since I'm waiting a quick look around the space makes me wonder why the place put the pick up location deep into the store needing to pass all the tables which means I may get disturbed when I'm sitting to enjoy a drink. While the place is slow, so is service. Sorry. Deduction of star here. Got my drink and looking through a translucent cup I'm concerned about the proportion of cheese foam and slush. It's all white?? Thankfully the taste is in point! Kudos! Still love Moge, quicken service!
Moge Tea East Village is in a convenient spot right near Cooper Square. It is pretty run-of-the-mill, but the menu is larger than most stores and has more flavors and types of drinks to choose from. You can also adjust the ice and sugar levels. The inside was really, really dirty so we choose to to take our drinks to go, but there is seating inside. I appreciated the variety of fresh tea options, especially as a more refreshing drink when the weather is hotter. One downside was that the fruit slices had seeds - so sometimes you were biting down on squishy boba and other times you chew and it's a hard fruit pit or seed. I did like that the cups had the resealable lid rather than the thin plastic sheet you need to puncture with the straw. Large tea was $6.25 with an additional 70 cents for boba. After tax it came to $7.80
The drinks here were so bad we couldn't even finish them. My fruit tea was watery and tasted very strongly of lemon peels. My bf's drink tasted artificial and strange, and the texture of the jelly at the bottom was very off putting.
I'd give this place 1 star, but since the service was ok and the location was clean and bright, I bumped the place up a star. I came here with a friend and asked if they could do oreo milk without the tea, but with cheese foam (I was looking for a caffeine free option as we were there in the evening). There must have been a miscommunication because what I got was literally milk with crushed oreos, topped with cheese foam (I thought oreo milk was a milk powder, because at other places, the oreo milk is a kind of oreo-flavored chocolate milk). I decided to be open-minded and give the drink a try, so I took it outside and tasted it. Much to my chagrin, it tasted gross. I offered some to my friend, and he didn't like it either, so we had to throw it out. It's entirely possible that their other drinks are much better than what I had, but I was not happy to have paid $6+ for crushed oreos in milk topped with cheese foam.
I'm a big fan of Moge Tee, specifically their brown sugar milk tea. I'm not sure why it's only at 3.5 stars, as I really love their bubble tea. The pearls are a little sweeter than other bubble tea places (but not too sweat either), and the milk tea just hits right. I've tried many other places but Moge Tee is among my favorites (along with The Alley).
I ever see the mango slush like this light orange color. Didn't taste mango at all and so watery. They put too much ice to mix it, I saw they have left a lot of slush on the blender. Why can put less ice that way won't waste food and The drink can be more concentrate I always get drink from Moge in different location ever have drink like this one. Taste disgusting.

Now that I've been to all of them, this is still my fave Moge location in New York City with some of the best service. Sadly, my favourite girl doesn't work here anymore, and had kind of an acrimonious departure for that matter, but they still make wonderful drinks and are willing to go off menu which is great - black tea instead of green, no upcharge as some Moge locations do (looking at you Long Island City), and no flat out refusal (looking at you Chinatown and Flushing). The decor is spectacular and some of my fave in Manhattan, and Barbie loved it as her first ever experience of Moge, so this is the Moge I would come to when trying to introduce someone to the brand, and when in Manhattan, and will continue to come here, because it's just excellent and all the drinks are wonderful. All in all, it's a truly amazing Moge, so much so that I came twice while I was here most recently. I like it significantly better than the ones in both Chinatown Manhattan, Midtown Manhattan, Long Island City, and Flushing's Chinatown Queens. Service and drinks are spectacular and without the questionable attitude that several the other Moge locations have. Now I hope you all listen to me and try it, or at least moge of you anyway. Great spot to grab drinks and enjoy indoor seating which not all drink spots in the area offer! You order from the kiosk and a number will be sent to inputted phone number to let you know when order is ready or when the worker calls your number. Not sure what happens if you only have cash... I love the saltiness of cheese foam so I enjoyed my drink! The tea flavor isn't that strong once you mix it all up and it is the best way to enjoy. The tofu pudding series seems like a new addition to the menu but doesn't seem worth it if you're expecting more of a full on tofu pudding dessert as most it was just milk. The yellow like stuff above the red beans was the tofu pudding which isn't much.
I feel like I've been to this place a few years ago, but I hadn't left a review. Probably because it wasn't memorable. I had the bubble milk tea and it was fine but nothing out of the ordinary with so many other boba places in the area. The was okay, the boba is harder than what I like. Service is order on the kiosk and pick up your order efficient.
This is the best bubble tea I ever had in my life, I'll definitely come back to try more drinks. I feel like in bubble tea heaven! Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for bubble tea drinks!
My friend and I came here late on a Friday evening to get tea after hanging out. We each ordered on the kiosk and waited for our drinks to be ready. I ordered a green tea with cheese foam. It came out quickly. It was pretty standard and what I expected. My friend's drink took a little longer as they originally made a slushie drink first when they misread the receipt. TLDR: A tad overpriced given the small cup size but still worth a visit for their taro drinks, which don't use taro powder. - - - - -- Getting a drink at Moge Tea is quite easy, as they have two self-service kiosks. They weren't too busy on a Saturday night, maybe a few pick up / walk in orders, but not "lines out the door" or a full house kinda vibe, leaving me wondering why since it's in a somewhat busy area of town. The first unique thing I noticed was that they use real taro in their taro drinks - yay! Not many places do this and instead opt for taro powder - ew. But I enjoyed this so much so that I had their Taro Bubble Milk Tea with 30% sweetness and 50% ice. The total came out to about $8, though? How was the drink? As tasty as one could expect with blended taro / puree painted on the sides of the cup and milk tea in the middle. There wasn't boba in the drink, but the taro pieces were enjoyable. At $8 though, I would say that this was definitely not worth it, and I can now see why others may opt to take their money elsewhere. read more
Was craving a light refreshing option during a hot summery day in the city and dropped by this new tea place in the East Village. The decor inside is quite cute, and they have an extremely vast menu option to choose from. You can customize and mix your favorite things together to create a wonderful concoction, or opt for the pre made options of drink choices to chose from. Every drink comes in a nice reusable plastic cup as well. I decided to get a super fruit green tea with popping boba, and mango and my friend got a traditional milk tea that was with vanilla pudding and crème brûlée. As I am not a huge fan of milk tea or traditional boba, I do enjoy drinking green tea or fruit flavored teas on their own and adding some fruit or gummy element. I thought the quality and freshness was great and it was not too sweet. A nice refreshing change from the traditional bubble tea franchises that you're used to seeing. It's a quiet, open shop with a lot of space between little chairs and tables. The bubble tea here is known for the "dirty" of the sugar, caramelized around the bobba and slathered around the bottom of the cup as a sticky syrup. I tried the A4, Black Sugar Milk Tea and also tried the A4 Black Sugar Milk Shake (only milk), they use organic whole milk from Whole Foods, and the flavor is great for those who love caramel, for me I'll stick with other bubble teas. And yes, it is more expensive than some of the shops down St. Marks - $5.89 + tax for one medium-sized drink. Will have to try the Flushing version (slightly cheaper) when I get out there. read more

The drinks are good here and you can adjust sweetness and ice as well. I got the cheese foam green tea drink and it was $5.95 for a large. They open until 11:30pm on weekdays which is pretty good. I noticed they also had kiosks available in the front to order drinks. There's seating available inside about 4 tables from what I saw. My friend got the creme brûlée milk tea drink ($6 large) and they really liked it. read more
I hadn't been in the neighborhood in a while so I was very surprised to see such a legit (super asian) bubble tea shop on my way to the movie theater! It was scorching hot today, so I decided to stop in before the movie to grab a refresher - I desperately needed something iced and fruity to cool me off, and would much rather have a fruit tea than an overpriced soda @ the theater. I decided on the sharing cup / "half & half" to try two flavors - green tea and the fresh strawberry tea, with regular ice & sugar. The strawberry tea was a little bit of a slush and a little too sweet for me but the green tea was so fresh and delicious. Even though the drinks are a bit pricey as others have mentioned, I'd love to come back to try the milk shakes / milk teas!! read more
Came here after bbq at gyukaku as it was the closest location for boba! It wasn't super packed when I went in which was great! A lot of the tables had little pieces of trash like tissues/wrappers/drips of drinks on it so they're not the greatest at keeping their tables clean. I got a medium matcha with cheese foam and bubbles- no ice. Price came out to be a little under $7 :/// pricyyyyyy Even though the price was a little steep, I really enjoyed the drink! It came out super quickly- the cheese foam was sweet and slightly salty and cheesy, matcha was nice and creamy with good matcha flavor. The bubbles were nice and chewy. I probably would not come again - as I could get similar boba right down the street at st.marks. Doesnt mean they have bad bubble tea- just that you could get the same thing elsewhere for cheaper:) read more
This place definitely did well with the aesthetics. They also have quite a unique variety of drinks to order. I was excited to try the dragonfruit beverage, although I will admit it was a bit bland. I tried a bit of my friends taro milk tea which was actually delicious. For the price though, I probably wouldn't come here too often. read more

Cute bubble tea store in the old Cafe Zaiya location right at the entrance of St. Mark's. Their decor is perfect for Instagram! They're known for their cheese foam drinks, but I'm personally not a fan. It was too creamy and heavy and made the cold tea lukewarm, taking away the refreshing taste I wanted. I definitely recommend getting the fruit drinks; I think they're better than the milk based ones. I got the peach oolong tea and the tea itself without the foam was delicious. Not a lot of seats so think again before bringing a large group. read more
As soon as I entered inside, it was too warm. I feel like they should put some AC or open the door. I ordered large brown sugar bubble milk tea at the kiosk inside and it was $9.01. I know I ordered large but it felt a little too pricy. I will never come back for these price.. and I sat down for like 3min but like I said it was too hot to stay there. Maybe this tea is very authentic or very traditional. Maybe it tastes closer to how bubble tea is made in Asia, but I didn't like it much. Ass you can see in my profile, I have tried and rated several other tea (bubble tea) shops in NY, DC and Toronto, but this version tasted different (even though I ordered the same Classic Pearl Milk Tea). Maybe other chains I tried before have "Americanized" or adapted to local taste. I think one of of main differences is that is it done with "golden pearls" and not the regular tapioca "black pearls", the milk mix also tasted different. Unfortunately I didn't like it much. Service was good, and the shop is algo nice, I recommend it only if looking for something different. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE: I thought the staff was okay.. Not very welcoming or with positive greetings. I'm not for sure if they were under-staffed the day me and my friends came in, but we wait for our drinks for quite a while. I ordered the Cheese Rose Oolong Tea. And I gotta say the tea is very distinct, not too overpowering, and the cheese along with it puts a extra twist to the drink. I would recommend this place! Moge Tea at St. Marks place has one of the best bubble teas in town. The dragon fruit slush can be made with absolutely no sugar which is great. They also have many options for vegans. They have contactless order and pick up. The first time you order you get a 20 dollar snack pass credit which is just awesome as it is worth 3 bubble teas!!! The seating area is also very nice and clean. The bathroom is very clean as well which is rare at St. Marks. read more
Moge tea is almost always my first choice whenever I want to have milk tea. They have so many different choices and each one of them tastes so good! My favorite is the dragon fruit smoothie with cheese foam. I loved eating dragon fruit when I was little where dragon fruit is more affordable.... But Moge tea has real red dragon fruit in the drink! And never forget about the cheese foam. I always remove the lid, lick the straw and inside of the lid after I finish the tea lol. read more
We visited around lunch time on Sunday. It was too early for traditional brown sugar milk tea and I was introduced purple yam milk tea. I was informed I can't adjust sugar level, so I thought it would be a extremely sweet drink but it turns a big supersize. Everything is just perfect. I will come back to give traditional brown sugar a try. read more
With so many bubble tea chains opening, it's hard to stand out. But Moge Tee was nice to cosponsor with my college club, so I got motivated to go because of that discount. Moge Tee offers all the drinks currently trending right now, such as Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Cheese Foam tops. I ordered myself the Taro Milk Shake ($5.99) A $6 drink is hella expensive, with their drinks all falling around that range too. Nonetheless, the drinks here are pretty good! The drinks came in cute round cups or tall sturdy cups. I wasn't too big a fan of my taro drink, but it did offer pieces of taro in there! It simply tasted like milk with taro bits and bubbles in it. I was actually surprised by the classic milk tea my friend ordered! The drink was really sweet but I definitely was a fan of their creamy tea taste! Overall, cute, comfy spot to hang and take photos by that floral wall. I would go back if I don't mind paying $6 for a drink again! read more
