Such a fun mix of flavors and teas that other bubble tea shops don't have. You can order on the kiosk and at the register if you have cash. It's a pretty quiet spot with limited seating. We got watermelon drink and a papaya drink, both super fresh and tasty. We could see that they had cups with fruits in it ready for them to blend, meaning it's fresh fruits.
I got a delivery of two excellent bubble teas...lychee dragon fruit and pineapple glow, both with 50% sugar. Delivery was fast, so the drinks were ice cold even on a hot day. They were refreshing and perfectly sweet. They arrive with a well sealed top so spillage is not an issue. No complaints. Would order from here again. Highly recommended.
My favorite milk tea shop in Hell's Kitchen. They have a wide selection of both hot and cold fruit and milk teas. My current favorite is the taro with purple rice. The only downside is they have many drinks that often become unavailable. Some of my favorites were the mango pomelo, oatsome, persimmon, papaya, mochi and oats, and their oats toppings. I hope in the future some of these make a return.
The staffs were friendly. Ordered lychee dragon fruit, would highly recommend ordering this drink if you are not allergic. There's four tables for seating, however, it was full when we were there on a rainy day. Be careful, the ceiling was leaking during a rainy day but, the workers were proactive in putting a yellow "wet floor" sign for safety. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5
Tried the cocoa boba latte and it was super yummy. I love a chocolate milk tea and the boba texture was chewy without being overcooked or underdone.
Persimmon is one of the top fruits ever and so I love that they have seasonal persimmon drinks. I ordered the persimmon coco and I love that they use fresh persimmons and that there are chunks of it in the drink. It's so refreshing and gives you the feeling of summer despite it being cold outside.
Decided to try this shop after we got of a play since it was open and on our way back to our hotel. Soo glad we did! This is probably the best boba I've had in the city in a while. Not a lot of seating since it's a grab and go place but we easily got seating. They're also dog friendly which is so cute and great-they even have pup cups!!! Drink quality was great and so was the boba, I got the milk tea with 70% sugar. Came out quick and was delicious. My only complaint would be that they only give one size (which is obviously large). So I wish they'd sell smaller sizes
Definitely try their coco mango and mango sticky rice! I've never seen mango sticky rice as a drink so I knew I had to try! The coco mango would fit most peoples tastes, while the mango sticky rice is more hit or miss. It's basically a mango smoothie with warm purple rice, which tasted a bit like red bean at first. There were also little chunks of mango inside. It was the perfect dessert drink for me, but it definitely gets you pretty full. They also have a variety of distinct drinks, like Peanuts N' Crumbs, Avo Mango Pomelo, Lychee Dragonfruit, and Thai Brûlée. Certainly coming back to try these!
This was giving me elevated bbtea vibes where it seems like most people get the fruit drinks! I tried the lychee dragon fruit and it's like a slushy which i was meh with but i really like the brown sugar ginger tea!
The prices for Bubble Tea here are, I would say, on the lower side compared to other Bubble Tea shops in the city. Drinks go for about $5-8 for one order. I decided to go with the four seasons tea and it was ready relatively quickly. Definitely should've gone with 100% sugar because it needed a bit more sugar for me to not just feel like I was drinking plain stea. There was seating available and the aircon was on which was nice.
I love how dogs are welcome here!! I get their rose milk tea, and my dog Cookie Dough gets a pup treat!
Ordered mango pomelo with zero percent sugar. Overall pretty good, but nothing too special. Was still pretty sweet and it tasted a little powder-y. Price was a bit steep (~$8.50).
10/10 experience every time. The hardest thing is to choose only one drink from their massive menu where everything sounds so good. I always choose to come to jooy tea when I'm around the neighborhood, even if it's a little out of the way. Can't wait to come back!

Bubble bubble! Bubble tea! Quick on the go bubble tea! Location: it is located along 9th avenue, the location easy to find. The interior is nice and clean, few seatings inside. Service: I just ordered on the kiosk. Food: I ordered HOJICHA LATTE with BOBA. I love hojicha and I felt like their hojicha is very authentic but I should have put 100% sugar instead of 75% because I felt like it needs more sweetness. The boba was chewy and soft! Price rating: 7 out of 10. I mean it is a regular bubble tea price. Paid around 8 bucks for the hojicha. Well all recommended! Will try other flavors next time! read more
It was a cold day in NYC today, & I was craving a hot drink. I would normally get coffee, but today I wanted to try something new. So I tried a hot bubble milk tea. To be precise I got a brown sugar bubble milk tea & it was amazing. It truly hit the spot. At Jooy Tea Shoppe you get to order on a kiosk. I loved that they let you regulate the amount of sugar in the drink. I went to their lowest setting & it was perfect for me. All the natural flavors came through. I tasted the brown sugar, I tasted the tea, & I tasted the milk, & I tasted the tapioca beads. The beads were slightly melted from the hot drink, & that made them even better than normal. My drink warmed me up & was a great alternative to always getting coffee. read more
Saw that they had the cheese foam drinks and decided to try the peach one called cheezo peach. I did 50% sugar and it was exactly what I needed. It was refreshing with fresh peaches and sweet. The sea salt cheese foam offset the sweetness. If you haven't had cheese foam drinks, it may be an acquired taste but it's similar concept to adding a pinch of sea salt on brownies or caramel, just complements the sweet treat. They have multiple ways of ordering. There was a self pay machine towards the front of the store and you could still walk up to the cashier and order there. Service was fairly quick and they were busy. Not a lot of seating space so I took my drink to go. read more

We got the normal black milk tea, and was honestly pretty confused. There was a very weak tea flavor, and it overwhelmingly tasted like chocolate milk, which is not what I'm looking for in my boba. The sweetness levels were overall good (I got 50%), and the pearls were too soft at first, but after letting it firm up in the drink, got to a nice chew. They also use smaller pearls, which I personally enjoy. Overall, the drink was still tasty, but honestly just didn't taste like boba. Still would come back in a pinch if I'm desperately craving a sweet drink, but definitely better places to go for a more tea-forward boba drink. read more
Popped in here on a whim. (Boba pun not intended.) I was walking to get takeout, it was hot out, and I figured, what the heck, let me get bubble tea. This was an excellent impulse. I knew this place was going to be good when I saw all the cups of fresh fruit in the counter case. You can tell that everything is quality and handmade. There were lots of intriguing flavors, but I went with the golden passionfruit, which came with lychee gel and boba. It took a while to make, but given the freshness I didn't mind. Very young crowd inside. Cute storefront. My drink was superb. Some boba tea places phone it in, but not here. This was the best drink I'd had in a while. read more

Fantastic tea shop offering lots of fun and unique drinks with lots of varieties and toppings (including boba). The first time I came, I got the Coco Mango, which was delicious and filled with so much good stuff including real mango pieces, coconut pudding, and crystal boba. The second time I went (yes, it was that good I went again), I got the Peach Berry, which was delicious as well. This one was more on the refreshing side compared to the Coco Mango, as it was a bit slushy (in a good way). It had lots of fresh peach pieces in there with some strawberries too. Even with no sugar added, it was sweet enough for me with the natural fruit sugars. Each of these was around $8, which is fine considering the quality of ingredients and quantity of toppings. The place itself is a bit on the small side, but there are a couple nice glossy wooden tables/seats inside. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. The service speed is decent. Overall, if you're looking for any type of tea-related drink and you are in the Hell's Kitchen area, this is a great place to visit! read more
This place is super cute and the drinks are DELICIOUS. I haven't raved about a boba place in a while, but if I lived in NYC this would be my new go-to. The lychee dragonfruit was the most amazing blend of sweetness and freshness, and the crystal boba was the perfect touch of texture. I usually go for milk tea but this looked so good I couldn't not. They also offer pup cups which I'm not even sure what they are but if they're anything like their other drinks, I'm sure my dog would love it. read more

I love getting my bubble tea from here it's always such great quality and the flavors are amazing. The service is great too - employees are nice and you can use a self serve kiosk to put you order in. I got the cocoa tornado and it reminded me of a chocolate milkshake! read more

They have very unique drinks. I was very excited to try them, but they are not as tasty as I expected them to be. Persimmon drink is so hard to come by, but it actually isn't the best in the drink. The Thai Brulee drink seems good from the description, but I prefer the traditional Thai tea. Drinks get made fast. The space is clean. read more

Solid drinks! Creme brulee was a solid pick. I reduced the sugar too so that when the creme brulee does eventually mix in, the drink isn't too sweet. However, I would go further to either 0 or 30% sugar (I did 50%). If you're big into sweet drinks though, I guess it doesn't hurt to keep it regular. When you walk in, there's a small preview of drinks on the wall. I thought that was the entire menu but it seems like the menu is much more vast - there's physical menus closer to the counter. Reference that when you're looking for a drink. Chewy boba. Not too strong in flavor but it is apparent. Overall, boba as a topping could be improved. Tea is nice and creamy and I liked seeing all the possible options. Definitely will be back to explore some other drinks. read more

Seems like a new bubble tea place has opened up in Hells Kitchen recently and it's honestly better than most that I have been to. I came blind not knowing what to get. I opted for the mango pomelo because it was highly rated. It was highly refreshing and really delicious. I asked for half the sugar which is crazy because it was already sweet from everything that was added. There is only one size which is great for me since I can finish my drink. It was $8 for this drink so beware that this is NYC and bubble tea has gone to the moon. The only issue was that a lot of their drinks didn't have descriptions, making it hard to tell what was inside other than what is said in the title. read more
Like others have said, this is very, very, very similar to Omomo in SoCal. I got my usual Omomo go to - grapefruit yakult with boba. It tasted pretty much the same. The boba was a little softer than I would have liked. Drinks are pricey - $7+. read more

I really love sesame flavored drinks and creamy drinks. This drink hit both of those marks. I got the cheezo sesame with oat and 0% and it was still just the right amount of sweetness to balance the toasty sesame flavors. The service was quick and it was a in a cute shop to chat in. Overall, the drinks were quite expensive ($8) but I think Id go again. read more
The mango pomelo with half sugar was a great drink to chat over without feeling a sugar rush. You aren't able to choose the size nor ice level for this specific drink, but sugar was adjustable. There are a couple of seats inside, which fit my needs. The only slight downside was the cost of the boba ($8), which I am not sure I could justify. read more
Jooy is pretty okay. Always great that this part of town has more bubble tea options though! Ordered the Rose Jasmine Milk Tea and was pretty letdown over all. The milk tea neither had an ample rose flavor to it, nor did it taste like jasmine tea either. It was kinda just sweet and milky. They give LARGE portions though, a bit too much if you ask me! read more

Amazing, exactly what I was looking for during my week trip to NYC, coming from the SF Bay Area's boba paradise. The cups and shop was aesthetic and the drinks are good quality. We got the Lychee Dragonfruit, Mango Pomelo, and Rose Jasmine Milk Tea. Lychee Dragonfruit - refreshing and sweet enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. The dragonfruit was perfectly understated and a good balance to the Lychee. Mango Pomelo - Pretty standard, the mango taste was a bit light but it was still a decent drink. Rose Jasmine Milk Tea - Extremely fragrant, the rose mixed well with the jasmine tea and didn't taste like bitter rose petals, even at 50% sugar. Overall, I really enjoyed getting drinks here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality boba drinks! read more

[NYC BOBA TOUR STOP #5] Unfortunately, Jooy fell a little flat for me. I went in with high expectations because of the 5 star yelp review, but, besides the sleek shop that had instagrammable light-up signs and the multiple seating options they had (with wifi!), I was a little underwhelmed. (Though, if this place were closer to a subway station, I could definitely see myself coming here to study, grab a drink with a friend, or pretend to read as I wait for my own personal meet-cute.) Don't get me wrong, the Mango Pomelo that I ordered was good. I'd even say it was great. But my family members ordered other things and were less than impressed. All in all, only one of our drinks was worth actively recommending, and our final rating will reflect that (basically... if you come here just get the Mango Pomelo what are you waiting for). The biggest thing about this place is that the prices literally hurt me. Every time I read "$7.00" on the menu, I received one Julius Caesar stab to my body. Sure, the drinks come in a large size, but guys... this boba price inflation has gotta stop or I will no longer be able to fund my addiction. Jooy is a place I'd like to come back to, but not sure if I actually would. Among the four of us, we ordered the Signature Fruit Tea (3/5), Lychee Dragonfruit (3/5), Mango Pomelo (4/5) and Omo Thai (2/5). The Signature Fruit Tea wasn't terrible (according to my sister)-- it was on the tangy side, so if you like your tea with a little slap of sour, go for it! But otherwise, we wouldn't recommend these drinks. read more
I've been here like 20 times at this point. It's a little expensive, but some of the best boba. My favorites are: The coco mango is amazing! Light The creme brûlée is fantastic, with or without boba The pomelo drink is nice and light with fruit chunks. The mango milk is nice and tangy. All the slushees are very good The matcha strawberry is fantastic! The more plain teas in my opinion are not worth spending $7-8 on. I'd get a cooler drink, like some of the ones I listed. read more

Noticed this spot opened In my neighborhood and felt it my duty to give it a shot- glad that I did!! I love bubble tea but I find it hard to come across a spot with really good bubble tea, now I understand why this place is highly rated. They have a kiosk which makes it really easy to place your order. Though there is seating it is very limited. Place is cute, nice interior background and staff were friendly. I had their Brown Sugar Milk tea which I loved! read more
