She explained the mechanics of the testing procedures and shared the results. The staff at Thurmont Eye Care did not dissappoint either. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They did not rush my decision of choosing frames and offered insightful advice that I would never thing about. (I appreciate the personalized time because glasses are a full time accessory on your face! If you don't like them, you can't hide or adjust like you can with a wrong haircut or makeup.) I loved the service and loved this place and started recomending it immediately (as in as soon as I got home and talked to my family about my appointment.... how often is that the first thing you talk about when you walk in the door?)

A glass clown from Mexico is priced at $39.49 though it sells for between $10-$30. They have an extremely large paint department where you can find any supplies you might need. They carry Benjamin Moore paint and will tint it with spot on accuracy. Craig, one of the owners, is a locksmith. Long before key fobs, I had to use his services. It was after hours, but he was there quickly. He charged a reasonable price, and worked quickly. The truck is painted nicely with the Ace logo, his shirt also id'd him as an Ace representative which I consider very professional. The employees could not help with her phone, claimed the phone was broken. Could not explain how the phone would be broken and still work on wifi. They proceeded to tell me she needed a new phone. I told them to give me the info so I could figure out what the best plan was for my family. They continued pursuing the idea of selling us a new phone. I told them that I do not buy phones, the only phones I get are the free promo phones. We don't do fancy or expensive in my house. They continued anyway. The boy "helping" us brought out a fancy new phone and gave it to my daughter. There was still no discussion of cost. He said there was a line upgrade for my number & we could use that for her new phone. Again, he did not discuss the possibility of this raising my monthly bill, or any costs with this at all. He downloaded an app & transferred her data to the new phone. Again without discussing of costs. On the invoice I saw he charged $50 to do this. This is absolutely ridiculous. We went home with this new phone. I was led to believe what I paid in the shop was the total costs, this was completely fictional. And the phone did not work after getting home with it. It had been flagged for fraud. Another employee fixed that issue the following day. Again no discussing of the costs of this phone. I checked my Verizon app and my estimated bill was now nearly doubled!!!!!! This is completely unacceptable. Verizon is saying this store is an authorized dealer, but not a Verizon store. They have no control or say over what this store does. BEWARE!!!!!!!!! The practices of this store fell more than unethical, it feels criminal to me.

Even though my situation was unique (child account deleted from family plan and not able to carry over to new phone), although he worked for a phone company for over 17 years, he has never seen this kind of scenario. It merely took him 10 minutes to resolve the situation, restore the account, and move the data to the new phone. His diligence and willingness to assist me shouldn't go unnoticed and I appreciate everything he did to not only resolve, but took the avenues needed to fix my problem instead of transferring me or telling me to call Google as the 1-800 assistant tried to pass the call.
