I attempted to obtain my out of pocket costs prior to my surgery. I was given 4 different numbers. I received a billi paid half of it with the plan to pay the second half in 2 weeks. I received another bill. my $600 payment was not crusted I checked my bank account. the check was cashed when I called today. I was given an amount more owed more than the bill I was sent. They change the amount owed at a drop of a hat and it is never in your favor. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. They have caused nothing but stress and anger. one of my co workers had the same issue so my case is not isolated.

What was left out of the explanation was: 1) How dry my eyes would be and that I would have to use expensive Eye drops for the rest of my life to counteract the dryness, 2) That my vision up close and mid-range (to read my laptop) would now require reading glasses. So, I was basically trading off having to use glasses to see at distance; to having to use glasses for up close reading and mid-range reading. In all the procedure was painless although expensive, I saved for two years for this procedure. If you were to ask me if I would do it again? The answer would be no; due to the lifelong side effects of the poor up close vision and having to use expensive eye drops several times a day. Remember this is one man's experience and other people's experience may differ.

He was also very kind and caring to my mother. Then she had to see and have surgery by Dr Kropinak he was awesome as well! She had some side affects from meds and he responded right away. Most of all he's a great surgeon and she Is healing well. His surgical team was excellent as well. He is very kind and caring too. She is also being treated for Glaucoma by Dr Piette. I have not met him yet but she likes him and he's trying different treatments before moving on to surgery. Can't say enough good things about the Ludwick team!

I love how…read moreI don't have to call someone to set up an appointment and see what times are convenient for me. 2 the Dr's there are pretty good and do a good job at getting your prescription, even with the fully digital exam. That said, the first issue began at the door. The receptionist has a nasty disposition, you can tell she doesn't want to be there but has to because SSI doesn't cover the bills. She just looks at you with distain and talks down on you like how dare you come in here. 1st visit she asks some basic questions then sends you into the back. Ok, fine. Go into the back and wait for my exam with a large louder than a Harley portable A/C unit in the middle of the waiting room. Eventually I was met by an assistant who was very friendly. She explained the exam would be remote and she's going to be setting up the tests. All went well and she took me to the Dr., who finished the exam with the lens machine. After the exam I went back out to look at glasses only to find out their 2 glasses and exam bait and switch scam is a big lie and nobody with a prescription can get that deal, fabulous!! I went ahead and continued searching for frames well because I seriously need new glasses. All the frames were jumbled up, nothing was in the correct section and finding men's glasses was a chore. I get people try on glasses and just sit them back wherever the see an open spot, makes it really difficult for an employee to keep things organized. But they don't even try. I finally find a pair and go to a rep table to get my order finalized. The rep had the disposition of a wet mop and just like the receptionist you could tell she was just there because she had to be. She started running off options and I quit choosing when my glasses got up to $600. The Dr told me I should get UV protection because I apparently have developed cataracts, when I got the price of the UV protection I bypassed it. I'm not paying $1000 for a 1 year prescription. I'm getting progressives this round and unlike other eye Dr's I've been too, she didn't measure anything, just looked at me and put a marker dot on my lenses. I checked out, was told 2 weeks for the glasses. The glasses came in a few days early... wonderful!! I go back in and there sat the same receptionist, with the same why are you bothering me attitude. I told her I'm here to pick up my glasses. She told me to have a seat, dug through the drawer and gave me my glasses, then just stood there staring at me without saying a word. I tried them on, couldn't see far away. I looked around and found reading cards and grabbed it myself and checked out the reading part, reading was great, but that's only part of the lens. I told her twice I couldn't see and she just still stood there staring at me like what did I want her to do about it. Finally she said I'd have to see someone else and she'll get them. I sat there for another hour waiting and listening to her tell other patients that they'll get the 3 for special and she didn't need their insurance before sending them back. Ok, so an hour passed and I was called over to the table directly behind me. The rep looked over my order and told me the first rep set my glasses up for someone who sits at a computer all day... um ok? That would be fine with me however the part of the lens I see distance through was only a 3 mm span. Who in the world would order glasses like that!!? He/she ordered new lenses and said it'll be another 2 weeks and had me take my glasses with me. Now we sit and wait. I pray these lenses have no flaws, if they're still not right I'm demanding my money back and I'll go somewhere else. For $600 I would expect to be treated like a person and at least have a nice case to put my glasses in, not a ¢50 sleeve made out of an old towel. Last time I was here, they even gave me a cleaning kit and cloth lens wipes. Not this time, nothin was given but attitude and bad lenses. This will be my last adventure with America's Worst. Oh yeah, almost forgot... they didn't even give me my full insurance benefits. Knocked off $50 of everything. Now my insurance has been used and I won't be able to use it again for another year. Perfect. Next time I'll be going to Walmart, they're more professional, act like they care and don't rip you off.

My second experience has been the opposite. In September, I received glasses with the wrong prescription and had to return them to be corrected. On 11/19/25, I had a contact lens trial appointment. On 11/21/25, I received an email stating my order was being shipped to the store and would arrive within 3-4 business days. I did not receive the trial lenses until 1/3/26 -- over a month later. On 1/10/26, I returned for my follow-up and ordered my annual supply of contacts. That same day, I received an email stating the items were in stock and would ship to the store within 24-48 hours. I paid out of pocket. After receiving no communication, I went into the store on 2/21/26 to check the status because phone assistance has consistently been unhelpful. Staff stated the contacts had not arrived and could not provide answers. As of 2/22/26, I still have not received my contacts or any explanation for the delay. This has been months of incorrect prescriptions, lost or delayed orders, lack of follow-up, and no accountability. Management has also been unprofessional and unfriendly toward both customers and staff. I would strongly recommend confirming clear order tracking and communication before choosing this location.
