I have been going to see Dr Wood for years & have received excellent care. Last year & this year have been so disappointing. Last year I didn't see Dr Wood, its was someone new. She was HORRIBLE. This year, the front desk staff is very unprofessional and I walked out before my appointment began. I will not go back there. I hope Dr Wood fixes the problems within this location. read more

Took over a month to get my glasses with the correct prescription and they still forgot the blue blocker. Plus, they wanted to charge an office visit for a retest due to them getting my prescription wrong. Never again. read more

I'm an artist and am highly in tune with vision changes since I've needed vision correction. My work is finely detailed painting. I returned to Eyecare Professionals after my very first visit here for a distance correction in one lens of my bifocal last week. A correction exam was completed discussing the distance I need for the adjustment. Dr. Rose Woods answered all questions I had concerning different types of lenses and the correction were completed within a week. I'm very happy with their service and will return here for Annual exams. Their waiting salon is comfortable and there is a wide selection of styles, colors and prices. read more

I had been looking for a "real eye dr" in the Hagerstown Md area. Eyecare Professionals is exactly what they are, from their receptionist, Dr. Wood, to the ladies that help you pick out glasses, everyone that works there is just a true gem !!!!! Dr. Wood explained everything to me, very informative, very kind and caring. The receptionist are very good at their job, kind and helpful. I give this business a less than zero rating. Run the other way. You find out what a business is really like by how they handle there own mistakes. Or by what they do when they are confronted with a problem they haven't encountered before. As was the case with rose Wood. They called her the doctor but it's hard to believe. I have to say that I have never met such an arrogant,rude and condescending person in my life. Because she had never treated anyone with the same problem as mine, she refused to acknowledge its existence and so ordered glasses that were entirely unusable, as I had said they would be. They could have been made in a way that does work, but instead she decided that I was a liar and wouldn't listen to me she passed her terrible opinion of me and her superior attitude to all of her staff eventually. I didn't know they thought I was lying or why they were so rude, to me. I just wanted a refund so I could go someplace else. And for that reason, Tiny the office manager made things Crystal clear to me because she called me a liar and screamed at me that she was sick of me and to get out. Because I politely insisted on a full refund. She was trying to tell me that I had to keep the empty frames from the glasses I couldn't see out of. That was over $100.00 dollars that they have not given back to me yet. These are awful people really. And everything is quite overpriced. They don't explain the pricing and the invoice says that there are discounts but they are not really. They know how to make you think your getting a good deal. But you are paying more than you need to. Go elsewhere for glasses. And decent people. I agree with one reviewer, I do think they are all related. Everyone there got into my business with a bad attitude. It was an awful experience truly. read more

Doctor was great but the manager was really rude. I bought three glasses there, two were ok the other not sure about the the other, will give it a few days. Anyway my insurance covered some. It was really expensive. Then there was extra test which my insurance covered she said. but when I picked up the glasses they tried to charge me for the test my insurance paid. I paid it and went home to check sure enough the insurance paid, so I called and told them. When I sent her a copy of the insurance summary and called, The manager got really rude she said when she gets the check from the insurance she will refund my money and went on a rant about her not stealing money and working there for 20 years(only thing I think is she most be a relative) This is after her knowing that the insurance paid it. (It made no sense since they took my insurance for the glasses and medical. I paid the difference of what the insurance didn't cover which was almost a 1000.00 dollars which I paid with no question why charge me again when I picked up my glasses.) I think you would find better service somewhere else read more

Dr. Wood and her staff are wonderful! Patient beyond measure. I have a real issue with near sightedness, astigmatism and eyes that like to cross. I will happily add another glowing review. Dr. Wood and her staff were fantastic, friendly, and patient even when I had a sick, screaming 3 year old on my lap. Their selection of frames is fantastic and their want for you (me, the customer, however you wish to phrase it) to be happy is phenomenal. I'm currently wearing two different contact lenses in each eye on trial because she wanted me to be sure that I'm getting the right lens for me.
