As a long time customer of this place going back to tenth edition MTG, this place use to have a…read morehuge selection of MTG products. Now you can't even get a booster box of older sets just the sets that are current. I went in asked how much the prices are on booster boxes to get a reply of $164 for aetherdrift play boosters and same for lorcana boosters. I was told collector boxes is $300 as well. OMG hold the phone right there even with an MSRP this is the best you can do? I recommend other stores in the tristate area as the competitors sell booster boxes around $140. I get times are tough but this store is now scalping the community especially those collectors who use the secondary market for return on investments who own more than enough copies of a certain card. I can not recommend this store to anyone and will not be shopping here ever again unless things turn around with their prices.

They have a nice stock of gundam models and a group that meets monthly to build and share tips. We've entered their local model competitions and met lots of friendly fellow fans through them. If you're not into models they have educational toys, puzzles, Legos, arts and crafts kits, something for every interest. You'd be hard pressed not to find anything here. Staff are super friendly and can provide advice on what and where to solve any problem you might have or item you might be looking for. They also have a reward program and send out coupons over the holidays to save money. A nice local shop with knowledgeable staff you dont see too often now a days.

Toy Trains! Model Kits! And all the other art sets, car tracks, European and Japanese toys and "Stuff." You know how a modern store just has people behind the counter? Hobby Works has staff walking the floor to help you. And they really help. And they know their stuff. And when you're there, it's got that friendly clubhouse atmosphere like you stopped off here while walking home from school in the 6th grade. Sometimes it feels like with online shopping, kids won't ever experience the friendly local stores like we did. Not while Hobby Works is open, it's all modern, but it's a shopping experience that most stores lost over the years- and our kids deserve to experience that friendliness.

We're always on the look out for Hobby Stores on our travels and this one popped up in a random…read moresearch. Its hard to miss it, there's a HUGE train outside with the store name on it. It reminded me of the old school train shops my dad, uncle, and grandad always took me too as a kid. There's a HUGE variety of model trains, scenery, paints, parts, you'd be hard pressed to not find something you need here. The owner greeted us warmly, mentioned a sale they had going on and said to ask him if we needed anything. Besides trains he also had a decent stock of model planes and cars, a few Star Trek models from the 80s but again, the bulk of his stock is trains. We were in the market for Gunpla models and sadly he didn't stock those but I will be telling my uncle about this place when he needs supplies for his trains. A great small business to stop in if you're looking for model trains and parts and want to support local businesses. Owner is very knowledgeable and friendly, willing to go that extra mile to help find what you need.

When I asked him to comp a card, he went off eBay listings and did not use Card Ladder, which is very amateur in the card market. He didn't even consider a deal on a card marked up 75%. To me this store is looking for anyone walking in off the street without a clue!
