I had Bo Luc Lac with rice and it was YUMMY. They told me the beef was filet mignon. This is my favorite dish compared to other restaurants. I have to tell you, we were so happy to see a Vietnamese restaurant come back to our neighborhood, finally! We tried this place the first two weeks they opened and it was not bad, but since then, the last two times we ordered # 36 & # 23. The pork was under cooked both times, no char to it at all! The rice & the noodled were cold, & the egg rolls were very hard & greasy, like they were reheated from earlier. My Pho is a great addition to our local dining scene. Nice decor and ambience, and the service was attentive. The spring rolls were fresh and tasty, but the highlight for me was the wonderful charbroiled pork pho. A plate of perfectly grilled, lean strips of pork was served alongside a bowl of savory broth. The combined flavors were just fantastic! I would have given a 5-star rating, except one of our party thought that the chicken pho, although delicious, was a little short on chicken. Live here in Orange, try all the new places...this place is by the worst of Orange, The Pancake House, just a little north in the strip center. Place was packed at 12:15, got a solo table...had some shrimp Pho, some of the best I have had, service was great and you could tell a lot of the diners were regulars...cant wait to go back and start trying some or the entree's. read more

My favorite PHO restaurant in Orange. Been here 50+ times in the past year and a half. Although the broth they use is different than your traditional PHO restaurant, the ingredients they use are lighter, fresher and definitely healthier. My favorite PHO dish is the chicken with beef broth but ask for chicken broth if you prefer. My favorite vermicelli dish is the Grand Combo and my favorite rice dish is anything that comes with their amazing egg rolls. The sweet mung bean with taro root dessert at the end is so tasty. The atmosphere is very comfortable and well ventilated compared to other stuffy PHO restaurants. The staff are very attentive, friendly, well dressed and welcome to answer and questions. Feel free to ask for suggestions on the menu if your trying some dishes for the first time. I think everything here is delicious so I definitely give them 5 stars! read more

I noticed this place opened up recently, and let me just say, I'm SO happy it's here! The food is great, the service is awesome, and there's no place like it for miles around. I came in and tried one of their rice dishes (with chicken and a fried egg) and a side of spring rolls to go. When I got home, everyone in my family had a bite, and I immediately had to go back for more! I highly recommend it. Finally checked out this place two weeks ago after several weeks of the boyfriend and I saying "eventually" and now we can't stop going back. Every single thing we have tried has been amazing. My go-to dish has become the charbroiled pork vermicelli but I'm also completely obsessed with the peanut sauce they make for their spring rolls. I also finally tried an eggroll last night and am so beyond happy I did. I'm always disappointed with eggrolls that taste like gross wilted veggies everywhere I go, that I've stopped ordering them entirely. I'm so glad I took a chance. These eggrolls are meaty, not overly fried, and deliciously juicy. Their banh mi sandwiches were also delightful, though the French loaf was a little harder/staler than optimal (but this was towards the end of the night, so it may have just been bad timing.) I got a bowl of chicken pho. Meat was not fresh and the noodles were hard. Plus i never had pho came with that little meat. I was so hungry but i couldn't finish even half of it.. I didn't like how it tasted and smelled at all. (Chicken Pho is my favorite food. I know how it is supposed to taste like when it is cooked well) I'm so surprised they got 4 stars rating. The WORST. OVERRATED! I paid $9 for a large vegetarian pho that literally had two pieces of tofu and 4 pieces of broccoli in it. That's it. That's all that was in my soup. Maybe one carrot. Over priced and not worth it. My broth had no flavor. I could have heated water and had something more flavorful. Also it was really dirty. Some woman sitting near me just used a knife and then went to the kitchen and put it in the kitchen herself. That's disgusting. New Pho Place in town. Located in a Strip Mall off Chapman and close to Chipotle's, Jersey Mikes and PCH Hotdogs. Makes me happy to have another Healthy choice in the neighborhood. It might take sometime to get the word out, as they are set back from the main road. I ordered the #13 Rare Steak, Flank, Brisket and Meat Ball Pho. The broth was very flavorful. Not too sweet and just the right amount of broth to noodle ratio. Currently they are offering a free fried egg roll with your order. It was hot, crispy and delicious. Also offered on the menu are Appetizers: Spring Rolls, Fried Spring Rolls, Calamari. Salads: Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Salmon, Charbroiled Pork or Chicken, etc. Several Phos: Shrimp, Chicken, Vegetarian, etc. Several Rice dishes: French Style Filet Mignon Cubed Steak, Charbroiled Pork Chops, etc. Vermicelli dishes: Grilled Shrimp and Egg Roll, Chicken, Beef, ect. I picked up my to-go order for rare steak, brisket, and some other meats. I'm saying some of the meat because there was no way that was beef! The broth was lukewarm at best like it had been sitting out which makes me feel weird about the raw meat as well sitting out with a hot broth underneath it! This is a recipe for a contamination! When I was trying to ask them where to get the food that I put in the order, the lady on the phone told me to look it up on Yelp. I have to call back again and I asked her what was right next door to her because there were so many stores and my Google Maps was giving me the address across the street. And so everybody knows the next door shop is Jersey Mike's Subs, not like the lady on the phone had told me very ignorant Lee. I went in there and was a little bit upset about the cold soup and the wrong directions the lady who had given me the wrong directions went in the back very very silly instead of saying sorry and she would learn where she works. read more

we are glad this place opened up because this area has needed a pho restaurant. the food is good, the service actually deserves 5 stars. they are incredibly welcoming and attentive and accommodating. the place is really clean and décor is modern. we have been there twice so far. I think the food is right around 4 stars. we have had #13, egg rolls, spring rolls, and veggie pho with tofu. the only thing i'll say is that I wish their tofu wasn't fried. make sure to get their dessert which is a cup of delicious hot tapioca. read more

This is the closet Pho place to our house and we've eaten in and had it go. It is pretty good, they have three different broths: beef, chicken, vegetable you can ask for any of the 3. When you order Pho to go everything is packaged seperately very neatly and you put it together at home and it is usually ready within 10-15 minutes. This place gets 3 stars for the following reasons: horrible customer service! The gentleman (I assume the owner) is actually quite pleasant and cheery, however the woman that usually answers the phone and processes charges on the register is HORRIBLE!! If you ask for extra hoisin sauce she will tell you that you can buy a bottle, they only give you one small packet per bowl of Pho you order to go. But if you eat it there they have bottles of the sauces on the table free of charge. She on more than occasion has gotten into an argument with my husband because he has asked for a couple more packets of the sauce and he refused to buy a bottle. The gentleman on the other hand is always more than happy to toss in a few extra packets into your to go bag. The most recent and the last time we went in to get a to go order the lady wouldn't even look at my husband and was rude during the whole transaction. We won't be coming here anymore because of her, it's too bad because the food is decent. Either eat your food there, hope the gentleman is working or don't like hoisin sauce, chili paste or hot sauce because if she is working you won't get much. read more
