I have been eating here for over 5 years now... my pho has never failed me. I pretty much order the same item 1. Egg roll ( always comes out so hot) 2. Chicken pho- doesn't leave me with a bad aftertaste like other places do where I feel like I need to drink a lot of water 3. Pork vermicelli - the pork is so tender and the flavor is just right, not over powering. All the staff are friendly and their to go boxes are really great too! I've never came home to a wet container or bag. So yum yum! read more

As a vegetarian, it's not easy finding a restaurant with good veggie options at a moderate price, especially in Orange County. I had a good experience here for my first time. I got the vegetable Vermicelli and it was really good. The tofu was great! I repeat, the tofu here is great! Good tofu is important for me. I also got the veggie spring rolls. Starting this review off by saying that I actually work at a Vietnamese restaurant, and wanted to try this place because it's local and I was feeling a little sick today. Most Viet places are judged by their Phó, and this one did not disappoint. The broth was very flavorful and hot, the portion sizes are just right. Meat was cooked perfectly.. the garnish basket they give with bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, lime wedge was fresh produce and a generous amount. Would recommend this place to anyone local in the area, prices are good, food was awesome, and service was good as well. If you come try and pay cash! They do accept card though. The only reason why I keep coming back to this pho hut is because it's down the street from my home. Other than that, I've had better pho in Garden Grove, Westminster and even Cerritos. They skimp on the meat and have the audacity to post on their walls about wanting patrons paying in cash because credit/debit transactions hurt small businesses. Aside from it being an untrue statement, how about lack of quality and service hurting small businesses as a valid reason instead? The service is never consistent because I almost never get what I ordered i.e. I'll order no flank but they'll give me no meatballs instead. We didn't even get our complimentary dessert with our check during tonight's visit while everyone else got theirs. The only redeeming thing about My Pho are their egg rolls since it's made to order and is light and crispy in texture. I don't care about how close this place is to me anymore because I rather drive a little further for a good bowl of pho. read more

How the HELL did this place get almost 5 stars? Ordered the #13 . The broth had no flavor , the meat had a bunch of fat trimmings on it and their meat balls were tasteless. A lot of hoison sauce and jalapeno helped.. but for its price , definitely not worth it. We also ordered a shrimp fried rice. The rice was overcooked , the chicken was rubbery as hell and their shrimp (which there were only THREE pieces in it) was tasteless! How do you mess up a shrimp fried rice?! It was literally a plate of flavorless, overcooked, dry lumpy mess. To add insult to injury , they forgot to make the fried rice and tried compensating our wait time by giving us ONE greasy eggroll. Which by the way, tasted like it was JUST out of the package and JUST frozen. They literally rushed our order and tried covering it up by giving us ONE god damn eggroll. Their Thai iced tea and Thai coffee were decent at best.. The whole meal came out to an almost whopping $30 bucks. I've been to enough places and to enough Vietnamese establishments to taste a $30 dollar meal; and this was definitely not worth a dime of my money. Never coming back here ever again. You kids need to wake up your damn taste buds and eat REAL Viet food before giving places such as this almost FIVE freakin stars. I'm laughing at the fact that all of you are getting jipped! I am a regular here and I figured it was time for a well deserved review. This place has incredible food coupled with great service. Especially the owners Tom and Hannah whom always make me feel welcomed. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I highly recommend the beef pho, the chicken pho (all white meat which is great), the Combination Sandwich, the french style filet mignon cubed beef, and the sizzling fish. I recently became vegetarian and I was craving some pho. Most pho places I called have either beef broth or oxtail. I called this place to check on their broths and they have 3 options! Vegetarian, beef and I forgot the 3rd. I chose the veggie base and ordered some spring rolls. Most times when I order spring rolls they're mushy and super tiny. Not with these. I placed this order for pick up and when I got home my spring rolls were still crunchy. Let's not even talk about the sweet sauce to dip them in. Soooo delicious. Came here this Sunday with my fiance and had a really good time! We had the Pho Tai (combination, rare steak & brisket), Pho Bo Vien (meat balls), and the CHICKEN WINGS -- UGH SO GOOD! The pho broth was hearty and nicely seasoned, it definitely wasn't over salted and you taste the star anise and cloves (if you grew up learning how to make traditional beef pho, this is right up there). But the real show stopper was the order of chicken wings. Who would have thought that something so simple -- fried marinated chicken wings -- could be so damn delicious. Owner/waitress is very attentive. Unlike the typical pho restaurants, they come back to check on you, even refill the free ice water. Their pho is the best comparing to other pho places around here. My parents had been raving about this Pho place they just found for weeks. So, naturally once I arrived for a visit I needed to try it. What the what? This place is not nearly as good as our old standbys in Irvine and Garden Grove--even the spot down the street from their house is better. Hopefully we just came on an off night? Because the pho was fine, and that's what they're peddling here, I'll give it three stars. My beef pho was fine, pretty typical flavors, adequate spice, the meat was fresh. However everything else we ordered was awful. Their jasmine iced tea had a soapy aftertaste--as though someone hadn't rinsed the Dawn out of the glass fully. Their boba tea was served and the boba was stuck congealed at the bottom of the cup in one large wad. I couldn't break it up or get my straw to function. The service was awesome.... Well for it being take out. I ordered the shrimp with a side of rare steak and an order of egg rolls. The broth was pretty bland, and even at home I had to add more to it. Maybe my tastebuds were off considering I was sick, but I don't think so. Also, something about the eggrolls tasted different. I live 2 minutes away from this restaurant, which is a plus. There's not many vietnamese joints around Orange, so I always give new restaurants a try. This place is located in the same plaza as Chipotle and PCH dogs. I'm not a big fan of this place, and the reason is the amount of food you get. You pay a good 8-10 dollars per entree, yet you only get a TINY AMOUNT of food. The first time I came here, I ordered a bowl of Pho, which consisted of very little noodles, an even smaller amount of meat, and A LOT of soup.. Although it was pretty good. The second time coming here, I ordered Bo Luc Lac (Filet Mignon). I got 8 cubes of meat and a bunch of lettuce, onions, and tomatoes.. Definitely NOT worth my money.. On a brighter note, the customer service is good. Everyone is nice here. There's a vietnamese restaurant on Tustin that is a lot better. I believe it is called Asian Grill. read more

I also want to bring up that it was excellently packaged - everything was separate so nothing was mushy when it arrived. First time trying this place and I'd have to say the overall experience was just ok. Food: I read in another review that the broth was very bland and I agree. Even after I added some sauce and lime I feel like I still needed more. Minus 1 star. Experience: Awkward! We walked in and no one greeted or said anything to us. There were 2 girls wondering around but didn't acknowledge us. So... Do we seat ourselves or continue to stand at the door? We decided to walk toward the register until one of the girls told us to sit anywhere. For other "new-bies" a sign may be nice. Service was good and the girls were very nice but when the meal was over we sat again awkwardly. Do we ask for the check? Do we go to the register? After having our entire table cleared and drinks empty, we sat looking at each other until the girl came from the back and brought us our check. Minus 1 star. We may try it again because my fiancé thought the meat he had was high quality and since they're new they may still be working out the kinks. read more

The staff is friendly for the most part, there is one waitress that is sort of "unfriendly", but there is a tall young waitress who is probably the nicest and best waitress I've ever had. The owner is friendly and seems like a good fellow. Service and the quality of the food are of course very important, however to me personally the demeanor of the staff is more important than either. Fairly typical of most Vietnamese Pho places. My daughter liked her chicken pho. The service was fairly decent. 2 things I did not like: 1. The price: Slightly above other Pho places. I guess you are paying a small premium for eating pho in Orange, CA. 2. The fried egg rolls did not smell right. I think they were spoiled. I won't elaborate further about my visits to the bathroom. Your typical Vietnamese food in a more clean and less crowded place and also a buck or two more than other places but worth it being in the area it's in. We both ordered the chicken and egg roll rice plate with fried egg on the side. Unfortunately, my egg had a little surprise in it: the leftover shells. While I waited about fifteen minutes for the server to notice me trying to get her attention, I ate around the shells and waited and waited. Then, when she came to my table and I told her about it... She had no response. No sorry. No "we'll reimburse you" or "would you like another egg without shells in it". NOTHING.
