I was very depressed of the fact that I had lost my eyebrow specialist as she had left her previous place. Until a few months later I found her again at Perfect Brows. Valerie has been doing my eyebrows for over 2 years and has always done an exceptional job. She is always so courteous, shapes my thick eyebrows evenly and always asks if I am satisfied so she can move on to the next brow. She always asks if I want her to use some rose water to soothe the sting. Not to mention that their prices are are great as they are low. Only person I would usually request was Nadia. The last time I went to perfect brows somehow my name was crossed off and I didn't hear my name because it was so packed inside that I had to wait outside. Nadia checked to see why I had not been helped and somehow my name was crossed off and I was skipped over. A guy was covering the register so I don't know how he managed to mess up and cross my name off skipping over me, pretty disappointing. I went here yesterday to get my eye brows done. I had a friend tell me about them and thought that I would give them a shot. I was a walk in at about 2pm on a Sunday. I waited about 15 minutes which I didn't think was unreasonable given the circumstances. Once I got seated it took about 7 minutes to get both brows done. While i was sitting there i was talking to the lady and i mentioned that i am a student and she told me their student rate was $7 for brow threading! I was in shock i typically spend over $20 to get my brows done. I will definitely be coming back!! They did an amazing job! read more

The reason why I'm giving 3 stars for this place is because my eyebrows did not come out messed up. Where to begin? Driving there was no problem, but when I got there, the plaza was small and the store was hard to see from the main streets. I get it, I have a bad navigation problem. Things begin to happen when I arrived. I walk in, no smile, no hello, no greeting. There was another lady who walked in before I did and you know I waited like I am supposed to. She signed in because she had an appointment. She sat down right after they helped her out. Assuming I was next, I waited in front of the desk because I had no appointment and have never been there before assuming they would ask if I had an appointment or if I have ever been there. Nope! They staff kept walking by me like I wasn't there and another girl came in and said they had an appointment. She signed in before me. Noting that I wasn't told to sign in or anything, they walked out of the store and past me. About 10 mins passed by and I asked if I had to sign in and that I've never been there before. Waiting 10 mins for 3 people who were just standing there talking was ridiculous. At that point I was debating whether or not to leave. So once I was helped (finally) i sat down and waited to be called up. While i was sitting there, there was a gold up because apparently they had messed the other girl's schedule up, so they spent about 5 mins trying to figure out who the appointment was booked for. They booked the girl for the wrong day and so.... the girl left because it was an event she needed to get ready for. Me sitting there by myself, I waited. About 3 mins past and the lady calls me up and she sits me down on the chair. I asked her about tint and she was telling me I couldn't tint my eyebrows, which was completely understandable. So I proceeded with regular threading. I had shaped my eyebrows and they came out great. The whole process of the threading and everything was smooth. Now here comes the end.... I go up to pay for it. They girl charged me $14... which was supposed to be $9 for threading. This was after she swiped the card that she told me it was $14... I was like okay... so the lady said to refund me. The girl who was handling the money... should honestly not be handling money if she couldn't do $14-$9... on top of that, she was counting up to 5 with her fingers. It would be an exception if the girl was 5 or 6.... she was more like 15 or 16... who couldn't do simple subtraction... and she was handling money? What an atrocity! They overcharged me and took forever for the girl to refund me the money she overcharged. At the end... I still have a tip because they had fixed my terrible eyebrows. At the end of the day. I would not go back because I did not feel comfortable at this place and customer service was horrible! read more

The girl that was doing it was really talkative & friendly and super gentle! this was the second time i've ever gotten wax down there, and it wasn't SOO bad. my first time i was screaming like a woman giving birth! Make sure you let your hair grow out like a cave woman prior to your waxing escapade. or it'll be more difficult & painful to wax. JUST KIDDING. it doesnt need to be a jungle down there but 1 or 2 months growth is good, Lol. I used to go to Ziba to get my eyebrows done which was really dumb! My cousin told me to go to perfect brows, instead of going to Ziba. So I went there today to get my eyebrows done and it was a really good experience! When I walked in, the two girls (Nadia and another girl) that were working said hi to me even though they were busy doing other people's eyebrows, and nicely asked me to sign in. I waited for only five minutes until I was asked who I wanted for my eyebrows! I told them that it doesn't matter who does my eyebrows as long as they do it the way I want them to! I went with Nadia and she asked me how I want my eyebrows to be. I told Nadi how I want my eyebrows to be and she did it just the way I wanted them to be! While Nadia was doing my eyebrows, she was really kind to ask me about my day and she also took time doing my eyebrows! She did not rush at all even though there were other people waiting for her and she knew what she was doing! After she finished doing my eyebrows she applied some rose water which lessened my irritation! She made my eyebrows look beautiful! I'm so glad i went with her! Im now a fan of Nadia and I'll definitely be going there again! The only problem for me is that I live in irvine and going to orange a little faraway for me but ill still go there cuz it's worth it! read more

I've been coming to Perfect Brows for almost two years now. Like many of the other reviewers on here, I found them originally through Yelp and continue to use them to this day. I grew up in Connecticut and New York City, so I used Yelp to find many places around the Orange area when I started attending Chapman University. Their shop is close by the university, which is very convenient. I've never had a bad experience here. All the women who work here are courteous, professional, and can hold a good conversation. Most importantly, their brow work is impeccable. I always just come to get, as I call it, a "clean up" of my brows and my upper lip, and they always look great after I leave. I don't have a personal favorite woman, because they're all great, so I recommend giving each of them a shot and finding out who you like best. I'll be sad when I graduate next year and have to make a brow place in NYC my new go-to place, because none of them are as great as Perfect Brows. read more

First off, let me start by saying that if a public business like this is going to exist, they need to cater to everyone and not just people they find ok. I'm a man and get my eyebrows threaded about every 3 weeks. I'd been trying to get in all week, but I've had to work so today was my first available day off. I walk in and am asked to come back another day because it's Monday and "everyone knows Sundays and Mondays we don't have men's services". She takes her time in making sure that she gets all the little hairs out, always precise and does a great job! I'm so incredibly upset after having my eyebrows threaded here. I've been panicking the entire day because my eyebrows look horrible and my sister's wedding is in one week. Those pictures are going to be in our family forever and there's nothing I can do about my eyebrows at this point. There's no hiding them in photos. I went there asking for Pooja after reading the great reviews here, but she wasn't in so I decided to try it out anyway. BIG MISTAKE!!! Unfortunately, I didn't notice how uneven they were until I left. Then I went to the mall to run errands and there are mirrors all over the place. After I started seeing the shape of my eyebrows from a distance, I immediately started to freak out. The arches are WAY TOO SEVERE and the two sides DON'T MATCH. One side actually looks like a severe inverted "V" which makes me look like an angry cartoon. The arch on the other side is much lower. I look totally ridiculous. When I got home I tried to fix them with eyebrow powder and a brush, but with the severe angles it's impossible to change the shape. I'm totally devastated and completely regret this experience. read more

Not sure what all of the hype for PB is over - my experience here was the same as any other threading place - rather unremarkable. I've tried several other threading places before and not seen the magic - when I tell my pro-threading friends that I still like waxing better, they give me a look like they're seeing a llama walk on just its back legs - like I'm a giant weirdo. When I walked in one early weekday evening I thought maybe this 4th threading spot would spark the fire. There wasn't a single customer in the place, which meant I got my brows done right away. By chance I ended up getting one of the threaders that was recommended by other Yelpers (though her name escapes me). I told her what I tell every eyebrow beautician - I like my eyebrows a bit thinner than my natural growth. She seemed very confident and reassuring about sculpting my brows - I had read that a couple customers before said that they had no arch and she re-shaped their brows perfectly. After just a few minutes she was done and I sat up and reflected on her work with rather disdain. My eyebrows were not thinner, but maybe a little thicker than my natural brows - so I asked her to thin them a bit more. When I sat up the second time each of my brows were done exactly to their natural shape (which mind you they are NOT the same shape - one is thicker at the end than the other and if you clean them up without leaving extra hairs at the end of the shorter one they don't look even). When I pointed out how my one eyebrow was now much shorter than the other, too short to fix - she told me that I had tweezed my eyebrows too much and had removed too much hair for her to shape them equally so one of them had to be ridiculously short - ???. I rarely ever tweeze my brows - they're light light blonde so I let them grow out like crazy between getting them done since you can't tell, plus I - she totally made an excuse. Every threading place I've been too - including PF - always shapes my brows naturally to their awkward state, not thinner and precise like waxing does. Unfortunately, PF was the only threading salon to blame me for their mistake. If waxing can make it happen, is it really me? Two stars for walk-in ease, fair pricing, and their stamp card program - but is all that really worth paying money for something that you may not be happy with? I think I'm permanently done trying threading now - time to turn back into a llama and walk on my hind legs. read more

The short of it: - small store - located inside a pretty vacant shopping center - service was good - could have been cleaner - eyebrows $8, lips $4 The long of it: I came here after work one day. It was in this shopping center which wasn't much of a shopping center since most of the businesses looked like they closed down. I was seated right away to get my eyebrows threaded. The lady was nice and asked me what I wanted done. I appreciated that they asked first before just diving in. The threading portion was ok, not as quick and painless as my fav lady at Ziba but it got the job done. When I was finished the lady asked me all sorts of questions, where I heard about them, where I used to go before, did I like today's service, pretty much a fast paced survey of like 5 questions. It was kind of strange, but I guess they want to know. I felt like at the end I was sort of rushed out. Maybe cause there were other people waiting, but I like to take my time and inspect my brows, brush off the loose hairs on my face. Discovered this place via yelp in 2010 after dreading going to Ziba .. Now that I moved to long beach I can't stay away. I still drive all the way down to see Nadia. I tried different places so I didn't go so far but it was never clean enough or shaped well enough. My brow shape is always clean and best when Nadia does it. Puja is great too but not always there.
