These guys ripped off my teenage daughter! They charged her $335 for a basic key with no remote access! This is NOT comparable with other companies on the market (my other daughter had the same a few months ago and got this plus they threw in a regular key for $250 and another company I called said it would be $260 all in!). When the technician arrived at my teenage daughter's residence she felt intimidated by him especially when he said one price then charged another, without explaining the extra charges to her, and then the guy offered to give her another key is she gave him $100 cash!! This was abusive tactics of a business towards a young vulnerable woman. She just paid so he would leave. I believe he discriminated based on location, as she is in a nicer neighborhood than I called from, and took advantage of my daughter being young. I talked to the owner the next day and he laughed at us and blamed us for not knowing what a 'key' means, for being dumb enough for losing her key in the first place and then said they did nothing wrong by charging us undisclosed trip charges and coding charges and stands by the idea that a basic 'key' with no remote access should cost $335! He denigrated his female customers even further and refused to supply my daughter with a key that make her have safe and swift access to her car with a remote access. read more

Our front door lock was installed poorly and never really felt "tight" or connected well. I engaged these guys via an online quote request on a Saturday morning. The owner made contact with me within the hour. I explained my issue, and he said he could likely resolve it. He quoted me a trip charge and a time frame, both of which I accepted, and said Nino, the technician, would contact me when he was on his way. He was at all times polite and courteous. Nino called as promised and arrived within the time frame. He fixed my door and went a bit above and beyond by fixing an additional problem with the door. He gave us good insight on our leftover parts. He worked quickly, didn't make a mess, and made sure we knew everything was correctly working before he left. While out of town we had a neighborhood girl watching our dogs and our house. She closed a door behind her and it locked and didn't have the key on her, so she called My Locksmith. They quoted her $50 over the phone but after they unlocked the door the charge jumped to $270. I called when I got home to try to work it out with them but Johnathan would not help. I spoke to him about the "30 Day Guarantee" on their website to which he told me doesn't apply to this situation. I have included the "guarantee" below. When I asked to speak to his supervisor he said he is the supervisor, manager, and does not have a supervisor of his own. A shame that these crooks took advantage of the girl staying at our houses situation. There are a ton of Locksmiths in Houston, pick a different one. My Locksmith was a lifesaver! Not too long ago I got locked out of my place. By the time I got home, it was dark and late at night. Oh snap. So what did I turn to first? My Yelp app of course! I did a quick search for surrounding locksmiths, and this business came up. I was desperate so I gave them a call. A very nice operator took my information and told me a technician would call me soon. Within minutes, I got a call from a guy that said he would be there in 10 minutes... Sure enough, a nice man shows up from My Locksmith (can't remember his name). They basically charge $19 for coming out there, and then they'll give you an estimate based on the type of lock you have. After that, you can decide whether you want them to pick the lock. The guy quoted me $75, and he subsequently brought some tools from his truck and popped my lock within minutes. I was amazed how easily and quickly he opened more door - but felt a bit unsettled at the same time that my lock could be picked so easily haha. My family needed a locksmith to break a lock at a vacant property. I called My Locksmith early this morning (around 8:30 AM) to schedule an appointment for late this afternoon. They confirmed with me that they had my appointment down for someone to come BETWEEN 4:00-5:00 PM. At 3:30 PM, I get a call from My Locksmith stating that someone couldn't come out to the property until 5:00 PM. Okay...I was a little disturbed but I got over it quick because I appreciated the fact that they called to let me know before I was in route to the property. I get to the property at 5:00 PM and the technician calls me saying that he's in route to the property and won't be there for another 20 to 30 minutes. I've officially started getting upset because that is the second time that this company has changed the appointment time. 5:30 PM comes around and the technician still hasn't showed. I call My Locksmith back and they're now telling me that "they never told me a technician would be at the property between 4:00-5:00 and they have it recorded with what they said". I called them a liar on the phone. They started claiming that the technician was supposed to come to the property between 5:00-6:00 PM. THAT WAS NOT TOLD TO ME THIS MORNING!!! That was a lie!!! Well...6:00 PM rolled around and there was still no technician. 6:15 comes around and here comes the technician pulling up to the property. The technician was nice (his name was Muhammed). But...My Locksmith assured me that technicians could make key copies on the spot. Muhammed did not have the tools to make key copies at all. And Muhammed only accepted cash or CashApp. This was not what I expected and was not happy. *****UPDATE***** - I spoke to the owner of My Locksmith over the phone. He stated that he was not aware of the incident above and is working diligently to figure out what happened. Somehow the technician that completed my order was not an employee of My Locksmith. Not sure if the dispatch service mixed up the service requests since I have call logs showing that I dialed the correct company. Hopefully, this doesn't happen again. read more

We needed to have locks rekeyed at a rental property and My Locksmith came in with the best cost, so we booked them. Johnathan was very helpful upon first interaction and was able to get me scheduled within a time slot that worked for us, but this is pretty much where the good communication stopped. When the technician got there, he replaced all but two locks. He said one of the doors did not open with the key, but he would be able to pick it and re-key once the door is opened; the problem was that he did not have his picking tools with him. I asked if we would need to pay for him to return (they charge a fee for visiting the property, as do almost all the other locksmith companies), and he told me no since it was the same job. I was called a little later and told that the lock would need to be switched out completely and the parts needed for that door would need to be ordered. I was fine with this, so he told me the amount for the work done and I made the payment promptly. The following day, I got a call from the tenant letting me know that service took over two hours (not really so fast considering speed is a selling point for them on their website), and they only made one key copy. I had asked for five (four keys come w/ the service, the 5th key is an additional charge). I think this is something I should have been notified about, so it's unfortunate that my tenant was the one who told me. What is most unfortunate is that there are actually two tenants that live at the property, so only one had a key that first day. I was upset on behalf of my tenants because they are always very gracious about having work done at the house and not having a key is a real pain, so I immediately called and Johnathan told me he could have a tech come right then, which was problem because it was already past 9:00 AM and my tenants were no longer home. He told me the next available appointment would not be until the following morning. I told him I thought he should have really made this a priority since we already paid him and that his laissez faire approach really made me feel like since I already paid him I didn't matter. His response was basically, it's my fault because I scheduled the last appointment for the evening. Luckily, my tenant was super flexible and made himself available the following morning to have the new keys made. After all was said and done, they only made us 4/5 keys. I still need that last lock re-done, but won't be using My Locksmith going forward. Pretty unhappy with the customer service post payment. Bottom line, if you decide to go with them for cost, check all the work before payment and don't expect any follow up after you pay your bil read more

The worst company ever, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY, they charge way more than other locksmith companies, the customer service is the worst I had to wait 2 hours for the technician to get there, when he got there, he did have not have any idea what is customer service, he was very rude. the key they gave was scratched and it did not even have the master key, it was just the control, they charged me $350. They give you a start price to make you believe it may be cheaper, but then they just add up Service call, key, program and taxes, I got two other quotes way below their price around $250. Although the locksmith showed up quickly and was nice and courteous this establishment either does not communicate with each other well or does a very poor job providing transparent pricing. On the phone I was quoted about $185 which included their locksmith showing up and a remote key to a 2013 Toyota Camry. When the locksmith got there the key itself was priced at $229 not to mention the fee for them to come as well as computer programming. The total ended up being over $400... which is completely fine if I had been expecting that. But for that price I certainly would've called someone else. For the office manager to be the expert I just feel as though he could've actually provided me with a quote that would reflect the work the technician had to do. He could really slow down and ask all of the necessary questions to provide customers with an accurate quote. Surely I don't have the first or newest Toyota Camry so if you know that most of them require computer programming then as the expert, you should say that. It can't be the first one you've ever seen so surely he should've been able to give me an actual breakdown of the price. He does this everyday. So I'm not certain if these issues always happen with their pricing or only when single women are visibly in distress but I do not recommend this establishment. I lost my keys so I decided to call my locksmith for their car key replacement service. I was expecting fast service since that's what they claimed on their website which they delivered. They processed my call and arrived promptly as promised which I was very satisfied with. My problem is that I told them I wanted a remote key replacement and they said they could help me. The technician arrives and starts doing the job. However, he's obviously not trained well in customer service because he's rude when I ask about the prices for different options. Upon job completion, he tells me that they don't in fact have the right remote key for my car and says he made a regular key just to unlock and turn on my car for $234. I originally wanted and needed the remote key which I was quoted $274. I obviously am forced to buy this key since I need my car to go home. He calls his manager and asks what the price difference would be if he came back to my location for the remote key since that's what I wanted. I was told it was $80. I asked him okay so I originally would have paid $274 today but on Monday I'll be paying a total of $314 right? He said yes. Monday comes around he doesn't call me. I had to call back today which is Tuesday for him to come out, and he's still being rude to me like he doesn't want to come. Now they want to charge me $19 service fee for coming to my location which I was promised last Saturday. I paid for a service fee Saturday for them to come out with the key I wanted, but they mistakenly didn't have the key they said they had, and now they want to charge me again for their own mistake. I don't mind paying fees and money. It's a service I get that. But I don't like feeling like I'm being hustled. It's only fair that they come deliver what was promised to me without charging me another service fee. Not only that, I double checked and confirmed with the technician that the extra $80 was all I had to pay and he confirmed last Saturday and now it's like that never happened. You shouldn't make promises that you don't keep in a business. And if your technician makes that promise for you, that's on him and it should still be honored. I called the manager back to see if he'll honor it and he didn't care. I'm very disappointed in my first experience with my locksmith. read more

I spoke with Jesus and was quoted a certain price, after about 45 minutes a gentleman named Miro Trevino showed up helped me out and was very kind and respectful, my only complaint was I was quoted a much lower price on the phone, completely not Miro's fault.
