We called on a Saturday to have locks replaced on a home for the following day. They were able to accommodate us on a Sunday. Our tech, Elvin, was on time, efficient and friendly. And was able to make duplicates for us on site. I highly recommend using them. read more

Do your hard earned money and mental health a favor and avoid this business like it's the Corona virus. I was charged $55 for the locksmith to disassemble the locking mechanism and extract the lock cylinder. He did not have the necessary hardware to duplicate key so he took the cylinder along with the promise to return with either a new key or complete new cylinder. A few days go by and I get a text stating that he has to order a new cylinder. I asked him how much a new cylinder costs, $80 + $90 labor. This seemed a little high and prompted me to research what Locinox charges for a 46mm replacement cylinder. $6 plus instructions on how to swap out cylinder. Not only that but a brand new, identical lock kit costs $120. NOT TODAY SATAN! NOT TODAY I understand I'm paying for a service but this is price gouging at its finest. I'd hate to see anyone get duped so please heed my cautioning and try a different locksmith. read more

A-1 Express Safe & Lock - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Excellent response time! We reached out for an estimate and to schedule an appointment. They came in the next day and were able to re key our house within minutes! Kevin called to let us know that they are heading our way, which was very nice. I'm super happy with how efficient and smooth the entire process went. The price quoted was fair and I would definitely use them again! P.S - he came in with a mask on as well! read more

They responded so quickly to my inquiry! I was very pleased with how quickly they could send someone out to check the deadbolt on my back door. Very prompt, friendly and fixed my problem. read more

This business was very fast and super effective!! Came to my house on a Sunday morning. Changed out two locks and made keys! Everything that I needed he had it in his truck. I would highly recommend this company! read more

We had the worst morning ever and if it wasn't for A-1, it would of gotten worse. So we drove from California to Texas this weekend and got home around 2 am only to discover our garage opener and keypad were not functioning so we were locked out of our home. I called A-1 and they had a live person at 3 am taking my call. Carlos called back and said he would be at our house in 30 minutes, he got here before the 30 minutes. He was quick, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend!!!! read more

This company is amazing! I recently purchased a house and needed to get it rekeyed. I was easily able to schedule next day service with them. Kevin came right on time; his work was thorough and quick. He rekeyed 8 door locks and provided several copies of the new keys in no time at all. I would highly recommend this company for any type of rekeying work ! read more

The technician took over an hour to arrive, after telling me it would be 25 minutes. I was nice about it because I know how traffic could be. He was not willing to discuss the price with me before getting to the house. He moved and talked fast. I had never needed a locksmith before, so I did not realize he was over charging me. He took advantage of my cluelessness! He had to drill out the dead bolt WHICH HE CHARGED $275 FOR!! Then, he charged me $120 for a new one! They are no where near that much at the store!!! I can't believe this guy! If this is how this company runs, they are a bunch of crooks! read more

Called them today to rekey my house after former tenants vacated. Compared to the other companies I called, A-1 was most reasonable as far as price and most flexible as far as timing. They were able to come out in less than 2 hours, and they finished the job in less than an hour (3 doors). Great job, very efficient, and very friendly. Definitely saving their number for any future needs! read more

I fully recommend A-1 Express Safe & Lock for your home or business. I own multiple rental properties in the Houston area and recently I had an emergency need to have a property rekeyed. Adam agreed to meet me at the property after regular business hours as that was the only time I was available. He was very professional and respectful. He worked quickly and did impeccable work. I can't thank Adam or A-1 enough for going the extra mile to provide quality workmanship and friendly service. The original quote for next day service matched other quotes I had received with only a slight increase because of the special request/ after hours service. It was worth it to have the peace of mind, knowing my property was secured. I would definitely recommend you call A-1 Express Safe & Lock and ask for Adam for all your business or home security needs. read more

Kevin arrived as estimated and did a great job getting us back into home and then replacing lock.

I have been using A-1 Express for several years now on different properties that I have managed. A-1 Express has helped on creating solutions, seting up Key Systems on new and take over properties. The response time is incredible compared to other locksmith I have try to use in the past. read more

Avoid them please. I asked them not to open my door if I am not there. Instead of being kind and saying yes, this man Carlos said the manager told me to change your lock without your permission. Please avoid them. If they enter without your permission and something happens, please contact me and I will be your witness in court. Austin, Dallas, and Houston have many other kinder people. thank you, Ann read more

Recently used their service and i must say, horrible experience and with that of yelp as well. over priced, bad service and i must say extremely dishonest. Do yourself and your budget a favor and find someone else. read more

Accidentally locked myself out of the house the other night, and called A1 express safe and lock to help me. Arrived when they said they would and had me back into my house in less than 10 minutes. The price was considerably less than what I anticipated so I was quite happy. If I ever lock myself out of the house again, I know know who I am calling! read more

Let me tell you - Sarel Rodríguez with A-1 Express is absolutely AWESOME!!! Someone took our only key fob and I called late at night and left a msg. He called back within 10 minutes and set up service the next day. He called ahead to tell me he was on his way. Sarel came right to the house and my wife said he was very professional and a very nice guy. The new fob he programmed has worked great for a couple weeks now! So we are very happy with Sarel's work! We also used A-1 a few months ago to re-key the house and they did a good job then too!! On both occasions they had the best price out of everyone I called for a quote. So I f you need any locksmith work done - save yourself time AND money - call for Sarel at A-1 Express! read more

Worse the worse place you can call for to help unlock your car. do not call these people they will rob you just to get your keys that takes five minutes. Price is ridiculous I could of broken my damn window to get my keys and paid cheaper to replace my window... DO NOT USE THEM!!! read more

Great group of people. Not only did they work with my schedule, they showed up on time. Would definitely use them again.

Called to have an employee's office door unlocked. Quoted time was 30 to 45 minutes which he showed up in this time frame. Took less than 10 minutes to unlock. read more

Be careful with this lock company. Carlos the salesman quote me one thing and when they do come it's something else. The price he said will be a hundred dollar more after the job is done. I was desperate for the job to be done or else I'll kick them out of my business. Dishonest people running this business. Don't use them or else you will pay double from another company. read more

I had service from this company. The service is Excellent! I was skeptical in the beginning when I read the reviews, but this guy Carlos knows exactly what's he's doing. We locked ourselves out on of the house on a Sunday night thanks to my husband. Anyways, we called this place and left a message. They called back within 30 minutes and arrived in 30 minutes. Took them about 10 minutes to get the job done. Cost us $135 but that's what we get for locking ourselves out. Would recommend their service! read more

I have used Carlos for our company locks and he was able to understand our customized needs and did a great job at a really reasonable price. But what really made him stand out was I had a lock issue with my car and he went well beyond his duty to research and follow up with me on getting the best deal and to actually solve my lock problem rather than to make an extra buck by doing unnecessary work. I would certainly trust Carlos with all my lock needs for my home and business. read more
