Saved my booty this morning!! Over the weekend I managed to lose my one and only key fob to my 4Runner while running errands with my husband in his vehicle. He pointed us toward where to buy new smart key fobs (I was able to get 2 remotes - 1 new & 1 used) for less than $300 - which was about half the price of any Toyota dealer who quoted me on this years ago. After giving him a call, he was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. The emergency key that came with the remotes did not fit my lock - he took one of his spare keys and made me one to match to ensure I'd have everything I needed in the future. Mr. B was spectacular! I got his name from a friend and didn't know what to expect. I've never used a locksmith before and am afraid they will make a key and then save it to get into my house/car. However, Mr. B got to my home quickly after my call and got my new vehicle key done in no time flat. He even showed me how to reprogram my old key if I ever found it so it could be used after the ignition system was reprogrammed. Brian saved my bacon and $500+ in the process! While leaving Port O'Connor, I left my keys on the top of my car and then drove 120 miles to Buc-ee's in Wharton to address the call of nature. When I tried to restart my car, it would not restart as the key FOB was not detected; presumably, it was now somewhere on US59 between Port O'Connor and Buc-ees. I called locksmiths in the area, and a Toyota dealer, and was told new keys would be $200 plus $325 to program, plus taxes, and I would have to either get the car towed to the dealer, or pay a $125 trip fee for a mobile locksmith (which could not get to me for 4 hours). I was only 50 miles from home so my wife picked me up and once I got home, I continued my search for a solution. I was given Brian's number by a locksmith in El Campo who was too busy. Brian and I made an appointment to meet at my car the next day and instead of trying to sell me a new FOB with a markup, he told me where I could get a used FOB for 59 dollars on the way from Houston to meet him. I picked up two FOB's, met him at my car (he was early, too) and he had two FOB's programmed in 15 minutes for $160 all in. I was so happy I tipped him a little extra dough, too. A fantastic service provider, knowledgeable locksmith, and an honest guy I am pleased to have met. Brian is an awesome professional that will get it done. He is extremely busy - no wonder. But he doesn't hesitate to give you other locksmith referrals. He knows his trade and won't charge you arm and leg. I went through a number of estimates to program and cut spare key to Ford Fusion. Other places don't even compared to what Brian offered. Came to My place did the job in 15 min and I'm not worried that my son will lock his only key in the car. Ah.. My daughter lost both keys to her car within 3 months a part. Since her car is a push to start engine car, we had to get a fob programmed and key that is attached to the fob made. Brian was great! All the other lock smiths I called were going to charge me $225 and up to replace my ignition lock. Then I called Brian and described the situation and he said that I didn't need to replace the whole part but rather he could simply replace the broken pin inside the ignition lock. Then just like he promised, he showed up and had the whole thing fixed in half an hour and it only cost $125 which was the price he quoted me over the phone! So all in all, Brian was a very nice guy, very proficient, honest, and very affordable. If you are in the Houston area, then this is the guy you want as your locksmith. read more
