A solid company - I've used them twice (once on the east side and once close to Katy) It's important to note that they're more of a call center, the locksmiths are sort of independent contractors. You call them, then they put the job out for a locksmith to call you. They are very responsive and you usually get a call back very quickly. I most recently had Oren come out to my Katy home. He was very knowledgeable about my unique 1980s lock situation and the challenges that come with it. Not only did he repair it but he taught me a lot about it. I did feel that ultimately the price was a bit high (I'm not sure if the locksmiths set their own prices), but I was in a bit of a bind and he helped me out quickly so it was worth it read more

My front door was slowly getting harder and harder to open. I was thinking the door handle needed to be changed out. But I decided to have a locksmith look at it before I changed it. I messaged Eagle Locksmith Texas through Yelp and got a response fairly quickly and they were able to send someone the same day on a Saturday! I forget the guys name but he was super nice and told me it wasn't the lock but the wood frame had expanded. He took the time to walk me through the mechanics of the lock, why he felt it wasn't the lock and with Houston humidity and heat, why he believed the wood was causing the door to stick. And after a few minutes of shaving back the wood, voila!! The door opened and closed like butta!! Took all but 20 mins and now I can use my front door with ease! My one ding is about the pricing. I would double check on pricing BEFORE they send someone. I wasn't told about an on call fee of $95 or maybe I misheard him and it was the price of the door? IDK but the locksmith did apologize for not mentioning it beforehand. However; considering the type of door handle I thought I needed to replace, this still saved me $100. Backstory, I had hired a locksmith to re-key all the doors on a rental property, but the previous locksmith was unprepared for the job and could not finish in a timely manner. A second service was needed to finish what the first could not, which led me to Eagle. Moses was the technician on the job. He showed up on time and though the work was difficult (my tenant told me he seemed frustrated while working), he was able to re-key the remaining locks. Upon inspection of the other doors, he noticed that key for the other doors (previously re-keyed) did not work smoothly. He told me he could fix the issue and gave me a price. When I told him that the house had JUST been re-keyed, he said he was shocked that the previous work was done by a fellow locksmith. I reached out to Eagle Locksmith yesterday morning - the woman I spoke with was very friendly and stated a technician would contact me in the next five minutes. Sure enough, three minutes later I received a call from the technician (Andrew), and within 45 minutes he was at my door. He was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. He made notes as we walked the house to make sure nothing was missed, and in less than an hour all 17 lock cores were changed. A few of the lock cores had been installed upside down by the previous locksmith - he corrected the installation of these lock cores and serviced a few that were showing signs of age. Once he had finished his work, we walked the house to make sure the new keys worked and all of the locks were functioning properly (which they were). I called a locksmith to install two electronic locks on an exterior door and an interior door of my home. Many hours and two trips to the hardware store later, and after calling in a friend to help, the work was deemed complete, and I was charged $1200 ... even after I identified an error on the invoice. I tested both locks while the doors were open, and they seemed to work fine. As soon as the locksmith left, one lock was as dead as a doornail even after I replaced the batteries, and the handle of the second lock came off in my hand. While initially we could open the door with our key, that remedy didn't last, which meant we did not have access to feed the reptiles in that room. I called Eagle Locksmith to get the locks working the afternoon the COVID-19 shelter-in-place was extended to Houston. Not only did Andrew return my call within minutes, but he was at my house less than half hour later. He found that the electronic locks had been installed incorrectly, and fixed both. When I asked about the security of the front door, he suggested a solution that was economical and reasonable even to a layperson. After installing the new interior deadbolt, he noticed that the existing deadbolt was incorrectly installed, and fixed that one, as well. All in all, Andrew made us feel much for secure in our home ... and we're able to feed my daughter's pets in the reptile room. Andrew is knowledgeable, honest and ethical. The total charged for his services was far less than I expected. This time, I'll be sure to save his contact information and reach out to him relative to any future security issues, including not only locks and keys, but also cameras and complete security systems. It's often difficult to find providers who live up to the hype in their website marketing, but Eagle Locksmith and Andrew are the exception.
