(1) Cake was delivered 2 hours late, which was five minutes before the party ended. (2) I called Liza during the two hours for a status, and the only response I received was an "I'm driving" text. No phone call or estimated time of when she'd arrive. (3) The cake was leaning, and began to sink once we started cutting into it. When I followed up with Liza about it, she claimed that it was intended to be "topsy turvy," which was not only poorly executed, but not what I ordered. (4) The "Happy Birthday..." inscription was completely missing from the cake. (5) The cake topper was broken. I followed up with Liza after the party, requesting a partial refund given the poor service I had received. After multiple emails, she finally replied to me, confirming that she would grant me the partial refund, but needed my credit card information again. I left her a voicemail with my information and asked her to contact me if she needed additional info to process the refund. Never heard back. After three weeks of emails, text messages and phone calls, she has been MIA and not honored the refund that she agreed to grant me. Poor time management! Poor communication! Poor business practice! Complete no show for my daughter's 3rd bday party today at the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) from 1:30-3pm. I had initially planned to make cupcakes myself and thought I'd save myself the work. I called Liza a couple of days ago to see if she could make a cake for the party today. Was disappointed, but understood things happen. I called Liza at 2:25pm to ask about the cake and she called me back to say her husband had left 15 mins prior to deliver it. I was hopeful. It wasn't until the BADM coordinator helped us pack up at 3pm that I realized that cake was never coming. I tried calling Liza and, of course, no answer. We stuck around the BADM so my daughter could play. The party coordinator found me 50 minutes after our party had ended to tell me the cake arrived at 3:40pm, but they had to turn away the deliverer since they thought we had left. Yup, 40 minutes after my party had ended they tried delivering the cake. Clearly, has no sense of time! In the end, my guests had a great time and everything else was good.
