We got a veggie Benedict and a specialty pancake. The pancake on its own was very filling. The Benedict was good too. We shared both and couldn't finish the pancake. This place is located in a strip mall. The directions from Yelp were perfect. Never would have found it without them. This was a good breakfast spot with a large menu. We really enjoy the food here--it's always delicious and well-prepared. However, we do feel that the current location can be a bit uncomfortable at times due to the surrounding area. On a recent visit nearby (at Burger King), we witnessed an unfortunate incident involving a couple of individuals in a disagreement, which left us feeling uneasy. It's situations like that which make us think twice about returning. It would be amazing to see this restaurant in a different part of Kapolei--somewhere like Ka Makana Ali'i would be a great fit! As for the prices, we're not complaining. We know food costs have gone up everywhere, and it's something that affects all of us. I came in for brunch yesterday with my partner and we had such a great time. The location is cute and quaint with paintings hanging up and a huge chalkboard wall. The tables are a bit on the smaller side so I wouldn't recommend coming with a larger group. We were sat down immediately, and our orders were taken quickly, even with a packed restaurant. We ordered the country fried steak, lox Benedict, and pancake flight. Everything was PERFECTLY cooked and flavorful. The gravy on the country fried steak was spectacular; only thing I can say here is that it was far more breading than steak but that breading was so good that it almost didn't matter. The Benedict was spectacular with no notes, we ordered the truffle potatoes as a side and they are beyond addictive. 10 stars for My Cafe! It was my most memorable meal on this trip to Oahu. The fried rice with runny egg was bomb! It's theee most flavorful fried rice I've ever had and believe me, I've had many in my lifetime. I bought aloha shoyu sauce so I can try and recreate this fried rice on the mainland, haha! And then, there's the Malasada pancake. OMG, SO good! I dream of this dish. SUPERB!!!!!! The crunchy outside, soft inside with vanilla custard is amazing! Managed to get in early as by the time we left many people were already waiting outside. With one row of tables divided between 2 and 4 top seating this not good for large groups. Service was reasonably fast with the food coming 10-15 minutes after placing the order. Split an Açaí bowl with plenty of fresh fruit, the serving size for the breakfast plate was on the smaller end of other typical restaurants. The food was nicely cooked and well presented, pricing was towards the higher end of what two people would pay these days for breakfast, obviously would have been a lot cheaper without the açaí bowl. Pancake trio (5/5): every pancake in that trio is excellent. My personal favorite was the cookie butta lova. I recommend sharing this with someone as the pancakes can get very sweet, but the flavor variety helps a lot. Chicken/country fried steak (4.5/5): I really enjoyed this! The gravy was flavorful and the steak crunchy. Eggs cooked beautifully. I only dock 0.5 stars from it because my steak had a little bit of bone in some places that I had to spit out. Parking is pretty easy in the little strip mall. Just make sure you read the time on the signs. Overall, a nice little local brunch spot with casual ambiance, great service, and awesome food. Visiting from California and stopped in for some breakfast. Absolutely fire. The vibes were great, felt like an authentic local spot, and I loved the reggae playing in the background. All of the employees were very nice and attentive , and you could tell they cared about the food and providing excellent service. The waitress recommended Unko's smoked meat and it was DELICIOUS. If you are looking for a delicious breakfast/lunch spot in Kapolei highly recommend my cafe. Although this location is small and the wait can be about 30/45 mins on the weekend, just know you will not be disappointed on waiting for their delicious dishes! We waited about 35 mins. Cristal our server was good, I do wish they were more attentive with their customers this is why I give them a 3 stars. We waited about 15 mins to get our orders in, or to even get water. It was a little busy but they should have more people taking orders or asking if you at least want water. I assume only one person takes orders here which was her but I wish they didn't have us wait that long. I love how fresh my grilled chicken and avocado omelette taste, the avocado was fresh and the potatoes were nice and crispy. It was not salty at all! It tastes very healthy. The Belgium waffles were nice and fluffy. The bananas were fresh. If you love waffles this is for you! My husband ordered Da Breakfast Burger which he mentioned is very tasty and definitely a lot of food 2 people can share this burger. I remember having take out with these guys before as their actual restaurant is very small. If I remember correctly, the food was very good. Unfortunately this time around, I feel that I either have covid or the food was very bland. And this is based off of mine and my gfs feedback. Everything looked great on the table, but we needed to add salt and pepper to everything. We had the pancake flight, corned beef brisket hash with potatoes and scrambled eggs, the loco moco chicken katsu, and a side of chorizo sausage. Also the chorizo sausage came out whole. We thought it would've been chopped up or sliced. I guess I relate it to Portuguese sausage. I would never expect a restaurant to serve a portuguese sausage whole. But they served a side of chorizo whole. Found that strange. But again, everything we ate just tasted bland and nothing seemed "special" while we were eating. I'm not a chef or anything but during our brunch, my gf and I kept saying how we could make these dishes more tastier. Hopefully it was just a bad day as these guys have great reviews. It's been a few years since we've been here - and was expecting the same long wait we've grown accustomed to. But here we are - 930am on a Sunday and was sat immediately. Even as we were leaving at 1045 there was no wait (except one person waiting on a to-go order). Had to ask for new coffee - it tasted burnt and I couldn't drink it. Was no problem for the staff tho - they immediately brought a new one. Could have been poured from the bottom of the carafe but the new cup was fine. Husband ordered brfried rice (which came out about 5 min before mine) - I opted for a pancake flight. If he had not insisted on waiting for mine to arrive before he started eating - he for sure would have been finished before I even started. Once (both of our) meals arrived - it did not disappoint. My friend, old coworker and I had breakfast here around 8 am.. she found this place. We got seated at the back as it was full when we arrived. So nice, we went there twice! On vacation for the first time on the west side, we typically do not like to eat at the same place twice, but rather explore and try new places. The food here was so good, fast, and service was amazing, we had to go back a second time during our week long vacation. Nothing at all was a miss. My partner and I got the Cookie Butta Luva pancakes and the grilled furikake salmon with eggs and potatoes to share! You know, this is a cute cafe tucked into the elbow of a strip mall in Kapolei, and oftentimes there is a standing wait outside, but I feel, after eating here 5-6 times, that the food could be better. There are a few items on the menu that really catch the attention, but the execution should match in flavor expectations, for example, take anything flavored like lilikoi.... It should taste like lilikoi. If you say lilikoi cream, or spread, or syrup, or jelly, it better have some aspects of lilikoi! Same with Ube. Same with hollandaise. A note on pancakes...the inside needs to be cooked. If the grill is hot enough you can sear the outside producing a nice look while it's tastes of raw flower on the inside, and I don't care how much Madagascar vanilla you put in the batter, its still raw. I could go on. Prices: if you are not prepared to pay prices like eggsnthings in waikiki, perhaps try a different venue. I like button up cafe and guieb. Service is okay. The staff are nice. Overall just MEH. I decided that there were too many other places to go than to eat here past the times I did. You may love it. Go try. read more

If you come early before 8:30 it's a good time for breakfast, not as busy inside and for parking. There is no reservations, first come first serve, but there is also a waitlist? They will not seat you until your entire party is present, is their rule. Hostess could be better at paying attention to those things and commutation, but overall the food was great and the place was busy. The place isn't very big and we sat towards the front. We ordered the chicken fried steak, furikake salmon, and the ube chocolate pancakes. The chicken fried steak was unique because it very light, crispy, and flavorful. With the chorizo gravy on the side, it was some of the best chicken fried steak I've had.
