We ordered an acai bowl with peanut butter, the bowl was delicious, acai is more like a sorbet, with ample fruit and crunchy granola, everyone liked it! Chocolate chip pancakes- these were my son's, but we all had a bite. Excellent. The pancakes are light and fluffy, not too many chocolate chips, so good. Furikake salmon, with sweet ginger soy sauce and breakfast potatoes. Great crispy salmon, and the truffle Parmesan breakfast potatoes are awesome! Biscuits and chorizo gravy, very good, and great portion size, really good flavor. Kama'aina fried rice - my boys loved this! With the spam, bacon and sausage in the rice; and the over easy egg - delish Last, and best bites were the flight of pancakes, mini cookie butta - again perfect pancakes, light and fluffy, and the cookie butter sauce is amazing, not to sweet. Food was great. Service was not that great. We were seated next to the trash can and we had asked staff to move away due to increase of fruit flies and flies around us while eating. No one took the time to toss the trash or move to area away from all the customers eating around it. Staff complaining that it's not their job to take it out. Not a great first experience at this restaurant and I will not be returning. We were having a good time with family and just felt very rushed, waitress kept coming around and asked if we are done with the check but we were still eating. The restaurant was not busy at all. There was no party waiting to be seated so I wasn't too sure why waitress kept wanting for us to pay. Talk about comfort food for breakfast! We got the Corned Beef Hash, Loco Moco, side of Country Fried Steak and Flight of Pancakes with lilokoi (passion fruit), cookie butter and chocolate taro pancakes. The hash was great because it comes with shredded corned beef, and not that canned stuff. The country fried steak is some of the best I've ever had. While it's a beef patty and not steak, the crispy fry and delicious gravy really make this dish. The pancakes are also super good and way better than traditional ones. It's a great dish to share along with savory ones. If you're staying in Ko Olina it's worth a visit to nearby Kapolei for breakfast as their offerings are way tastier and more reasonably priced than what the resorts have to offer. Saturday brunch with the family. If you're ever in Kapolei, this place is a must. When we got here, it didn't seem like there was a long wait. I had to go inside to put down my name, then they got my number so they could text when our table was ready. We waited for about 20 minutes, which flew by quickly for us because we walked around and were able to use the bathroom out and upstairs (no restrooms inside). Once seated, our drink order was taken first, and I got my hot coffee fairly quickly. I love how the cream was the pump one and it stayed at our table. We ordered our food after and that also came fairly quickly. I had the corned beef, and that was YUM! I love how it was brisket style so the beef were huge bite sizes. I really enjoyed it. We were excited to try this restaurant since it was recommended by friends. It's a cute hole in the wall type of joint. The food was okay. I had the Benedict and subbed bacon for ham. I asked for crispy. It wasn't. And it came back to haunt me most of the day. The garlic potatoes were yummy but heavy on the oil. The time from placing the order to picking up the order was quick (within 20 minutes). Picking up is also easy as your order is ready at the door by the time you pick it up. Now, review on the food. First, Loco Moco with fried rice. The egg was runny on arrival and wasn't overcooked. Everyone loves a good runny yoke over the patty, so that was a plus. The rice itself was flavorful and did not skimp on the flavor. Second, next time I'll order the Lox Benedict without capers, but that's just a preference. The amount of lox to egg to bread was an even ratio. The egg yoke was runny and the English muffin was toasted well. Third, the Loaded French Toast was a little underwhelming. The toast itself seemed a dry in my opinion, it could use a hit of syrup of some sort. Maybe next time, I'll ask for some syrup. Disappointed because the reviews were pretty good! A $70 price tag for some Eggs and potatoes. The pancakes in the Keiki plate were pretty hard although the egg portion was large for a child. The scrambles are actually Omelettes so if you'd like it all scrambled up you'll have to ask. They also do not have any dairy milk so if you want milk for your coffee it will be almond or Oat milk. Similarly there is no cream other than the carrageenan fake creamer packets by coffee mate and international delight. The omelettes were pretty packed with ingredients and portion size is not the problem I think it's just the overall package didn't quite meet expectations. Everything was pretty dense and heavy so definitely recommend sharing. Small cafe so I don't recommend bringing a stroller and bathrooms are on the second floor in the strip mall so not sure how many businesses share the same facilities. This place is a small place with not a lot of tables, so usually there is a bit of a wait. On a Saturday, we had to wait about 30 - 40 mins for a table. To begin, I got coffee. It was okay, it was macadamia nut flavor. Wish they did free refills, epically since the coffee is expensive for a cup. It costs extra for a refill. The pancakes were good, it's nice they have a flight of them to try other flavors. You are able to pick any of the flavors on the menu for the flight. We switched out Lilikoi for malasada pancake. We got the big version of the taro pancake. I know it's chocolate taro but it was very underwhelming the taro flavor. I can't say I even tasted it much. I mostly tasted the chocolate. I really liked the garlic Parmesan potatoes, I would come back just to get them again. They were crispy and had a strong delicious garlic flavor. It's been a long time since I've had a good gravy. Came in on a whim - I had this local breakfast spot flagged since a Youtube video highlighted it. The hostess took our name and number down and said that we would have 10 minutes to get back after we received a text message from them and that gave us plenty of time to go across the street and do a Walmart run while we waited! :) when we came back to the parking lot, we got our text message and our table was waiting for us! The brunch and lunch menus have something for everyone! But since it was our first time, we wanted to try their BEAST eggs Benedict and the furikake spam and eggs looked like a fun twist on the usual spam, rice, and eggs. Both dishes were HUGE and well worth their prices. I also liked that the Benedict was served on sourdough instead of English muffins and the sauce was well seasoned with the right consistency, and the eggs cooked perfectly. The combination of the bacon, eggs, avocado, spinach, and tomato went so well together too, in addition to the breakfast potatoes! And of course, had to add a glass of OJ! The furikake spam was so yummy and crunchy. The texture was nice because usually spam isn't crunchy so this was a good change up and the furikake added that umami. We were so full, but of course, couldn't leave without trying the flight of pancakes that every table was ordering! Heavy traffic was going in and out and after 5 mins I knew I couldn't handle hearing every squeak throughout our time dining so I asked the waitress if they could prop the door open or if we could be moved to a further table. Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree with the overall rating of this cafe. This is the second time in a year I have been catfished by the high rating. I came here last August and again today with the same food experience. Everything lacked flavor simple sprinkles of salt. We had the egg scramble with pancakes and the pork Benedict with unsalted potatoes. My pancakes were terrible, stiff, and definitely from a box mix. The pork Benedict had an off putting Smokey taste to it and the potatoes, as mentioned above were unsalted. But, for a small price of $3 you could get them with garlic parm truffle (I guess you have to pay for anything other than diy table salt). After all that, the worst part of the meal was the service. Slow, and non existent... we were not asked how our meal was but when we were able to flag someone over for our check. My first experience with My Cafe was when brought over takeout one weekend morning. It was good, so this time we went to eat in. There was a line when we showed up around 9:45 on a Saturday, but that's not surprising. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes, but it was more like 10, which was a pleasant surprise. Our server came really quickly, brought us menus and then took our order since we thought we were ready. We had planned to get the pancake flight as well as chicken fried steak plate with an upgrade to fried rice. However, our server recommended that we order sides of country fried steak and fried rice, since they couldn't offer a fried rice upgrade. Done. The fried rice (topped with eggs) came out so quickly, followed by the country fried steak and pancake flight shortly after. The food came up so quickly it was almost like getting fast food!! The flavor of the Kama'aina fried rice amazing! I don't usually order fried rice at restaurants because I can make it myself at home. But I liked the fried rice so much, I could have eaten just that for my meal. But then the country fried steak came out and wow!! It was so tender we were able to cut it with our forks, and the fried coating was fluffy and light. Country fried steak with gravy is usually quite heavy, but this one wasn't! I'm glad that it's also available as a side order, because I'd definitely go back to get it again. The pancake flight was also tasty, but I had already filled up on the fried rice & country fried steak. All 3 flavors of pancakes were good, but I think the cookie butter one was probably the best. The chocolate pancakes (with ube sauce) were very chocolatey--I liked them even without the sauce. We usually rate restaurants by asking "Would you come back?" I knew within the first 2 bites that I'd be back. I have a new breakfast place on the west side!! One more thing that I noticed about My Cafe is that they kept up the panels that I imagine they put in to observe social distancing during the pandemic. Good breakfast stop but their lunch is also solid with different meats and furikake rice. Parking in their plaza is not a problem but be prepared for a small wait as it's popular, especially during weekend breakfast times. To go is much faster and still tasty fyi. Kalua pig benediction is tasty, big and gives a hearty breakfast size. Recommended for those looking for breakfast, which is served all day. The My Pack Bento is not as large but gives a good sampler of all their dishes. $15 gets you portuguese sausage, corned beef hash, furikake deep fried spam, some very tasty kalbi meat, kimchee, furikake rice, and a canned drink. Compared to the benedict, you might not be as full but you'll get a well rounded variety of My Cafe's menu. read more

If you're staying at Aulani or in the Ko Olina area, this restaurant was only a 10 minutes drive away. It was the perfect spot to hit up for brunch before we headed to hike Diamond Head. I ordered the furikake crusted spam plate (~$14) and it came with 3 pieces, scrambled egg and rice (my choice of side). No wait for seating around 8/9 am on a Friday. Service was quick and it filled us up till late lunch after our hike! read more
