We walked in, didn't make reservations and had to wait an hour for them to get our tables together, totally understandable. Opt for the outdoor seating because it's quite warm inside. I was so excited to eat here, it lived up to all my expectations. My only qualm is that the gnocchi soup portions were off, I had a bowl with only chicken. But all is forgiven due to the extreme care that Terry took of us! If you're at Olive Garden, you're gonna want to be served by Terry. Endless pastas are baaaack and my server Jessica did such a great job keeping the soup coming! Olive Garden will always be my favorite restaurant for many reasons: 1. Unlimited soup 2. Unlimited Pasta 3. Cheese Service "Tell me when" is my love language 4. Warm Italian donuts dipped in chocolate sauce Olive Garden is the best place to take family to dine in, in my opinion. It's a great time and you get to indulge in pasta and soup. I didn't get to enjoy my usual fill of the chicken gnocchi soup but I was able to bring some home to go. I also purchased their take-home bucket. If you get the half a gallon, it's about $30. If you get the gallon, it's about $43. It's so worth it in my opinion. Although I will warn you, that gnocchi is not good after two days as a leftover so if you're gonna get this, get it for a group or for yourself but finish it soon. The service was horrible. I went there for lunch with my husband, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Our waitress, "Tawn," had her name on her badge but never introduced herself. My pasta took about 20 minutes to arrive, and I never received my drink until I had to ask for it. When our food was finally brought out, the way it was placed on the table felt very careless and unwelcoming, almost as if it had just been thrown down. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but unfortunately, her attitude ruined my lunch experience. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but good customer service and basic courtesy should still be expected. I still tipped even though the service was terrible. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to dine in, and I would not recommend coming here around lunchtime if you're looking for good service. read more

The Ala Moana location is much busier but the Kapolei Olive Garden is more laid back and more relaxed atmosphere. The endless breadstick kept coming thanks to our generous server Angel! The night my boyfriend and I visited was busy because they were understaffed. Only 3 servers for dinner rush! Still, Angel took care of us! Waters refilled, breadsticks replenished. I opted for the salad while my boyfriend enjoyed gnocchi soup. He really loved his soup! He ordered the Tour of Italy and I tried the Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara. Unfortunately, the breadsticks were not as garlicky as I'd remembered, my boyfriend's lasagna was over baked and my pasta was under seasoned. Olive Garden was alright. They were pretty busy, which is good, but we didn't have to wait to be seated or anything. Service was alright considering. The salad that day was kind of old, I had to pick out a lot of brown pieces, and it was soaked in dressing which almost made it inedible to me. You can't go wrong with the breads ticks, which are basic. My daughter loved her Fettuccine Alfredo which she added the Crispy Chicken instead of grilled, and she also added Broccoli. I ordered a new seasonal item, the Creamy Garlic Fettuccine. And it was good. The Tomatoes were sweet, and the Spinach was a nice addition to the pasta. The cream sauce was okay. Our dining experience at Olive Garden in Kapolei earlier today was not what we expected. We were a party of five, including one child, and our server was Tahwnee. I believe the first impression of any restaurant begins with the host stand. A simple smile and warm greeting can go a long way. At the same time, I understand the pressure that comes with managing a busy restaurant, seating guests, and keeping everything moving during a rush. We had a minimal wait before being seated, but unfortunately the experience after that did not feel very welcoming. Our share plates were placed on the table quickly, nearly slammed, and our server walked away without a greeting or introduction. It took some time before we were acknowledged. This was also one of the first times I can remember dining somewhere and not being offered water without having to ask. When our server finally approached, the opening question was, "You guys know what you want yet?" We have all worked in the restaurant industry and own businesses ourselves, so we understand the difference between simply providing service and creating hospitality. Maybe my expectations were higher than most, but a simple introduction, a genuine greeting, or even a small connection with the table would have made a difference. From what I observed, our server appeared to either be overwhelmed, in the weeds, or possibly having a difficult day. Regardless of the reason, the overall feeling at the table was that we were not truly welcomed. Drinks were delivered, although mine was forgotten despite me repeating my order twice. When our appetizers arrived, I politely reminded her to check on it whenever she had a chance. There was no acknowledgment or appreciation for the patience. My Calabrian steak and shrimp plate arrived with the food hanging over the edge of the plate. I understand the menu indicates the steak is prepared medium, and I asked if it could be cooked medium rare instead. The response was met with a blank stare. A simple yes or no would have been perfectly acceptable. With all that being said, I want to make it clear that we never allow the quality of service to determine how we treat someone. You never know what someone may be carrying or what kind of day they are having. That is why our gratuity was not affected, and I genuinely hope Tahwnee has better days ahead. I would never leave a one star review with the intention of hurting a business that provides jobs and puts food on people's tables. Instead, I am leaving five stars and hoping this is received as constructive feedback. It takes a lot for me to take time out of my day to share a concern like this, but I believe hospitality matters. Small moments of kindness, acknowledgment, and connection can completely change a guest's experience. Unfortunately, this will likely be our last visit to Olive Garden. I sincerely wish the team the best and hope whatever challenges were being faced that day get better. read more

Carb cravings... Since I was in the area I decided to give them a visit as it's been quite some time that I've been to Olive Garden and this Kamakana Alii location is nice as it's not totally part of the mall and with lots of free parking just steps away it was a nice and convenient to give them a visit. Walking in I was surprised to see how filled they were and though that there would be a long wait but to my surprise they also have outdoor seating which is actually better as it's not as noisy inside and it was rather more cooler and nice but I was seated right at the service door as it creaked with every swing it got quite annoying. Ordering food I decided with the create your own which was Rigatoni with Five Cheese Marinara and added broccoli which also comes with never ending soup or what I chose is salad along with breadsticks the salad was absolutely delicious as I do love the toppings but the breadsticks were meh no olive oil or balsamic vinegar it didn't do much for me and here's my pasta looking like it was made in a cafeteria blanched pasta topped with a scoop of sauce an topped with blanched broccoli...what a sad presentation it tasted okay nothing it wasn't even hot or spectacular and my server came to check on me once as she was busy but she was very nice and polite but just the very basic just like their food. I remember why I don't come here as often though I do love the decor and vibe the food needs much improvement...just come for the salad and chill out at the lanai. Thanks! read more

I went to Olive Garden today and I have to say, I was pretty upset with the service. Our server, Tawhnee, gave us time to look over the menu, but once she came back to take our order, I felt like we were being rushed to make our decisions. It felt like we couldn't take a moment to think without her waiting on us. I don't know if she thought I wasn't going to tip or what, but her attitude definitely made it feel that way. What also bothered me was how she treated the customers behind us. She was snippy with them, gave them the wrong drinks, and then told them to switch them instead of simply fixing the mistake. Mistakes happen, but the attitude and lack of patience made the whole situation uncomfortable to watch. Overall, I just wish the service had been more patient and welcoming. I don't think customers should feel rushed or uncomfortable while trying to enjoy their meal. read more

I love this location and come on a weekday because weekends are busy. I usually don't like waiting long if I am hungry. Wait isn't bad depending on when you come here. Pasta is delicious and drinks are good as well. My favorite drinks are the flavored teas. So good and refreshing. I like the spaghetti and the eggplant Parmesan. My two favorite items to order. Service is okay and waiters here are nice. Ambiance is very descent with the smell of pasta in the air. Definitely worth coming here if you enjoy pasta. Everything here is good even the appetizers. We had the gnocchi soup and salad as starters with the shrimp frito Misti appetizer. All three were delicious. Salad was nice and fresh with a flavorful vinaigrette dressing. The shrimp appetizer had amazing flavor. For our entrees we had the shrimp and chicken carbonara with bell peppers and bacon. Super tasty. Overall, very please with the food, drinks and service. We went to Olive Garden for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl after seeing it advertised on Hawaii News Now for $13.99 per person, which sounded like an amazing deal, especially in Hawaii. When we got there, it turned out to be $19.99 instead, but we decided to try it anyway since we had already driven out for it. I ordered the salad and rigatoni with the spicy three meat sauce. The salad was just as good as I remembered from when I first tried Olive Garden back in college: crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The pasta, however, was a little strange. The sauce made my mouth feel tingly or slightly numb, almost like an "acidic" sensation, but not spicy. The service was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and really made the experience pleasant. The ambiance was cozy, smaller than most Olive Gardens I've been to, but still nice. Unfortunately, the pasta didn't sit well afterward. Both my partner and I had some stomach issues for the next day or two . M spouse called a week prior and ordered a large amount of pasta (party trays) over the phone. At no point in time did the employee asked for payment at all. Fast forward on the day of pick up on June 6 not one employee said an order was placed for the name stated. I was very upset and frustrated that not all employees knew that the order had to be pre paid or paid in full for it to generate a guaranteed receipt. I had to wait for the order to cook, while all my guests at my daughter's birthday party stood by. I had placed my trust with Olive Garden Kapolei on my daughter's special day, which I should off conducted business elsewhere! She was not happy at all! It's been a really long time since I've been to an Olive Garen. My son wanted to try so we stopped by here for lunch one day when we were in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how good ever was! Not that it was ever disappointing, but for a chain sometimes you don't expect a whole lot. But the service was really impressive, the staff was really attentive and friendly. The food was also delicious and I forgot how big the portions were. My Chicken scampi took a while to come out as well as my Bellini but it was hot and fresh when it came, delicious. *I would note the table we had outside was irritating because the legs were off and it kept moving up and down.. I took my family visiting from Japan here since we were window shopping at Kamakana. We walked in, asked for a table of 4 and were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. We sat and looked through the menu while we waited. I appreciated that they had a QR code for the menu in Japanese. There were other parties that walked in after us, no reservation, with the same amount in their party, who got seated before us. We ended up waiting around 30-45 minutes. I would have left but my cousins were hungry so we decided to just wait. Once we were seated, we ordered and the food came out quickly.
