We love the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp and Broccoli with extra Alfredo sauce. This is our go to dish at the Olive Garden. It's so good that it's difficult to impossible to order anything else. Get the unlimited dipping sauce / Alfredo sauce is a must for your dish and breadstick dipping. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Ask for the bar seating when busy, you could get lucky and skip the wait. The bartenders are very polite and friendly. Enjoy coming here once in a while but it seems like prices have gone up. I was sooo excited to come here when i saw the "Kids eat free". But the total was still over $100 for 2 adults. My partner and I were talking about the price & I just remembered paying under $100 for 2 entrees and 2 appetizers just last year ... It's a hit or miss with this place. Since I was in the area I decided to give them a visit as it's been quite some time that I've been to Olive Garden and this Kamakana Alii location is nice as it's not totally part of the mall and with lots of free parking just steps away it was a nice and convenient to give them a visit. Walking in I was surprised to see how filled they were and though that there would be a long wait but to my surprise they also have outdoor seating which is actually better as it's not as noisy inside and it was rather more cooler and nice but I was seated right at the service door as it creaked with every swing it got quite annoying. Ordering food I decided with the create your own which was Rigatoni with Five Cheese Marinara and added broccoli which also comes with never ending soup or what I chose is salad along with breadsticks the salad was absolutely delicious as I do love the toppings but the breadsticks were meh no olive oil or balsamic vinegar it didn't do much for me and here's my pasta looking like it was made in a cafeteria blanched pasta topped with a scoop of sauce an topped with blanched broccoli...what a sad presentation it tasted okay nothing it wasn't even hot or spectacular and my server came to check on me once as she was busy but she was very nice and polite but just the very basic just like their food. I love this location and come on a weekday because weekends are busy. I usually don't like waiting long if I am hungry. Wait isn't bad depending on when you come here. Pasta is delicious and drinks are good as well. My favorite drinks are the flavored teas. So good and refreshing. I like the spaghetti and the eggplant Parmesan. My two favorite items to order. Service is okay and waiters here are nice. Ambiance is very descent with the smell of pasta in the air. Definitely worth coming here if you enjoy pasta. Everything here is good even the appetizers. I normally enjoy Olive Garden and have had plenty of good meals here, so this review is specific to the lasagna. It was very disappointing. The dish was warm, but it did not taste freshly baked. There was no browned top, no crust, no crisp edges, and the overall texture felt flat and unappealing. On top of that, it had an odd aftertaste. Our server Valkyrie was outstanding. The restaurant always has a good atmosphere and is clean considering how many years it has been at Ka Makana Alii Mall. Came on a Saturday at 11 AM for lunch. We went to Olive Garden for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl after seeing it advertised on Hawaii News Now for $13.99 per person, which sounded like an amazing deal, especially in Hawaii. When we got there, it turned out to be $19.99 instead, but we decided to try it anyway since we had already driven out for it. I ordered the salad and rigatoni with the spicy three meat sauce. The salad was just as good as I remembered from when I first tried Olive Garden back in college: crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The pasta, however, was a little strange. The sauce made my mouth feel tingly or slightly numb, almost like an "acidic" sensation, but not spicy. The service was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and really made the experience pleasant. The ambiance was cozy, smaller than most Olive Gardens I've been to, but still nice. Unfortunately, the pasta didn't sit well afterward. Both my partner and I had some stomach issues for the next day or two . Not sure if it was just an off day for the kitchen, but I'd probably try a different sauce next time if I ever go back again. read more

It's been a really long time since I've been to an Olive Garen. My son wanted to try so we stopped by here for lunch one day when we were in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how good ever was! Not that it was ever disappointing, but for a chain sometimes you don't expect a whole lot. But the service was really impressive, the staff was really attentive and friendly. The food was also delicious and I forgot how big the portions were. My son really enjoyed the breadsticks and he ordered a kids meal, which was huge, but ended up eating mostly the fettuccini alfredo. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Great place for a causal lunch at the mall. Inside was very loud at lunch time on a Saturday so we opted to sit outside, was amazing because we were the only ones out there! Sunny, breezy, no overwhelming noise, we had the best time talking and enjoying our lunch. Soup and salad was yummy and quick, no surprises there. My Chicken scampi took a while to come out as well as my Bellini but it was hot and fresh when it came, delicious. *I would note the table we had outside was irritating because the legs were off and it kept moving up and down.. It's Olive Garden. It's like the McDonald's of Italian food so don't expect much out of it but it's not bad. The salads are still fantastic. Whatever they do to it. I don't know what it is, but they're still fantastic and the breadsticks ain't bad either and the tour of Italy is still something to get and you can also buy uncooked food from there and bring it home and cook yourself. You don't get stuck half a tip of waiter not a bad place though if I had to vote for this place or some local rot-gut L&L bullshit - I would definitely pick this over that. read more

I took my family visiting from Japan here since we were window shopping at Kamakana. We walked in, asked for a table of 4 and were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. We sat and looked through the menu while we waited. I appreciated that they had a QR code for the menu in Japanese. There were other parties that walked in after us, no reservation, with the same amount in their party, who got seated before us. We ended up waiting around 30-45 minutes. I would have left but my cousins were hungry so we decided to just wait. Once we were seated, we ordered and the food came out quickly. My cousins enjoyed their meals since they don't get to eat pasta often. I'm glad they got to enjoy the soups or salad with their meal as well. read more

Update on 9-2-25. Took my bestie to Olive garden her favorite place to celebrate her early bday, she ordered shrimp scampi pasta, I ordered rigatoni with meat sauce and husband ordered the lasagna. With the unlimited salad and bread sticks was filling. She got a free bday dessert as well. Our server was nice polite and friendly. Amazed that we were seated right away on a Friday night. Food temperature was just right - Eggplant Parmesan was perfect, although the pasta that accompanied it was room temperature. Salad didn't have enough dressing. This year, with losing 3 coworkers (retired, left fora higher FG position, resigned), we decided to have our Christmas luncheon here. 2024 Dec 19 1215 reservation and checked in early and was seated :) The hostess was on a phone call when I walked in and after the call, she apologized for the wait and greeted me with a smile, LOVE THAT customer service! I was not surprised at how busy this restaurant is and it looked like a few companies had their xmas luncheon there today too. Placed order online, was given a 12:45pm pick up time. I arrived at 12:35pm and the attendant said they just received the order 2 minutes ago. Which I found hard to believe because I had the app that said otherwise. She was not friendly at all or apologetic, only said it would be a bit to get order. When order was ready, she packed the salads on bottom and the soup and shrimp scampi on top of cold food. Not something recommended since now you have both cold & hot food in one bag. No utensils were in bag and no thank you. I've been there numerous times and this is the first time service is bad. I want to start by saying that Olive Garden has my favorite Fettuccine Alfredo on the planet, which is why this experience was so upsetting. Yesterday afternoon, we placed a takeout order for eight individual meals for a birthday party we were hosting. The order was written out very clearly. Not only did the food take an hour and a half to prepare, but when we arrived home and opened the bags, we discovered that one entire meal was missing--and unfortunately, it was mine, the Fettuccine Alfredo. This was a $285 order with a $29 tip. Because the order took so long to prepare, we also purchased drinks at the bar while waiting. All in all, it was an expensive afternoon. When we called the restaurant, the manager, Lesley, apologized profusely, but an apology alone is not enough. When customers place a takeout order, are we expected to empty the bags inside the restaurant, open each container, and cross-check every item before leaving? Is this what customers are supposed to do in drive-through lanes as well--hold up traffic while verifying their entire order? This is simply not reasonable. What made this situation worse was being expected to drive from Waipio to Kapolei in the pouring rain to retrieve a missing meal that was omitted due to a restaurant error. I believe Olive Garden should have arranged and paid for delivery of the missing meal, whether through DoorDash, Uber Eats, or another service. While I suppose it is fortunate that the missing meal was mine and not one of our guests', the situation was still angering, frustrating, and embarrassing. When our guests noticed I did not have a meal, they kindly offered to share theirs. I declined and said I wasn't hungry, but the moment was uncomfortable and unnecessary--especially during a celebration we were hosting. If restaurants are going to offer takeout services, there should be systems in place to ensure orders are accurate and that meaningful solutions are provided when mistakes occur. An apology does not resolve the inconvenience, expense, or embarrassment caused by this situation. read more

Our server Anthony was very personable and made great jokes with us, and he was always checking up on us to make sure we were good. This Olive Garden gets from me! It is my favorite restaurant. Their service is great and if you go around 5-6pm you hardly have to wait. After 6pm, it gets busy. Their spaghetti with meat sauce is SO good. And it's only $20 with endless soup or salad? I've lived on Oahu my whole life and there isn't a better Italian place for the price and taste.
