They are a lovely family run business & really make you feel warm and welcome. I also brought my mom's vintage 1980s wedding dress to alter and wear for my rehearsal! Both turned out beautifully! Tina is the fairy godmother you always needed, but never thought you would find! Tina was able to do what other seamstresses had told me was impossible! I was frantic looking for a seamstress when my dress arrived, I had lost more of the baby weight than anticipated and suddenly had a dress far too big. Another seamstress I had taken my dress to alter literally told me I was better off buying a new dress, because the alterations would cost more than the dress itself and would require being completely dismantled with its intricate lace. Another seamstress was going to only lift the dress at the sleeves and bunch it at the top! Then I found Tina, she didn't take any shortcuts and she did what the others had sworn was impossible. My dress fit me like a glove and her immaculate, intricate, and deft handiwork transformed a dress that slumped off my shoulders to the perfect gown to be married. She custom designed a cathedral veil with lace that perfectly complemented my dress. She also created two custom sashes, designs all her own and perfectly bringing to life what I had imagined. Leaving your wedding dress with anyone to be altered is a terrifying experience that requires a lot of trust. I felt like Tina and I really hit it off at my first dress fitting/estimate appointment. I don't know much about fashion but I had some ideas about how to fix my dress. Tina helped guide me through this process from picking a bustle to deciding on dress length, she walked me through the whole process in 3 fittings over about 2 months. I paid 50% up front and 50% upon completion, plus got a bonus cookie with each visit! The last visit, she encouraged me to bring my bridesmaids to show them how to do the bustle. She was able to accommodate my work schedule + the schedule of the bridesmaids to do so, and did a great job explaining my many-layered dress. Tina even steamed my veil and dress for me at no charge. She's an excellent example of great customer service and I can't recommend her any more to nervous COVID brides like myself. I am so happy I was referred to Tina by Roxie Couture. I needed my dress altered bigtime and my wedding was only a month away. Roxie didn't have enough time so she sent me to Tina because she knew Tina would do an awesome job. I can't say enough about how sweet Tina is! Such a kind and welcoming woman who assured me she could make my dress fit perfect. In a few weeks, she was finished. It needed a second round of alterations and she had it done a week later. My dress is all lace and sheer fabric which is not easy to work with. I also wanted her to change the shape of my dress. I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed and more fabric on the sides of the dress. The owner did this very fast, in under a week. But my dress turned out awful. She ended up making the waist smaller and the fabric she added to the sides didn't match the color of my dress. The dress was also not short enough even after she measured me the first time. She also charged me $200, which was overpriced for hemming a dress. She did end up giving me a full refund but I initially thought it was overpriced for what she was doing anyway, especially considering I can't even return the dress now.
