I was excited to see this family-run business in the neighborhood and I took two items to them for alterations. The trousers came out sloppy and unwearable with a giant LUMP in one side seam, because it had been sewn crookedly. I asked the tailor to re-sew it--he refused, and said there was nothing wrong with it--this was blatant gaslighting. I tried to reason with this man, but he was disdainful, condescending, and dismissive. The workmanship on the blouse was piss-poor, with a crooked side seam that was sewn from the front of the armhole to the back of the blouse, instead of from the middle of the armhole straight down to the hem. The garment is ruined. Like another customer who commented here in Yelp, I don't understand how this place is getting outstanding reviews: I'll NEVER go there again. (I recently visited David's Tailoring in Temecula, where he expertly repaired my trousers; but the ruined blouse was not salvageable.) read more

I'm so completely impressed by the work they have done. They were so nice! I walked in and handed off 11 items, mostly things that needed to be repaired (jacket zipper missing, wholes in clothes or bags, bag lining completely tattered and frayed, elastic breaking, underwire exposed from undergarments, clasps missing). I think everything was reasonably priced. For everything I had given in, they quoted me at $140. They repaired everything so beautifully. I found my new tailor! When we came in to pick up our tailored items we noticed a few very big problems. The tailor, I guess because he asked if we wanted one of the problems fixed right there, would not acknowledge that they hemmed a dress 2" when we never asked it to be hemmed at all. He then tried to say his English is not very good so he couldn't understand us. He laughed and shrugged his shoulders. When I decided just to pay and leave I pulled out my credit card. He asked if I had cash. I said I did but I would like to use the card. He said he really wanted cash. Then he said, oh. The card machine is broken. If you are still reading and want to know what all happened, read on! We brought in a bridesmaid maid dress and a flower girl dress. The brides maid dress turned out OK. The top is uneven but we can make it work. The flower girl dress is a disaster. We asked to have the top taken in, the shoulder straps shortened and because it has a train for them to add a fastener to bustle it, making it all one length when bustled. They did the straps and the top fine. They shortened the entire dress over 2" and added a 1 1/2 inch stiff mesh to the inside boarder. It is a very light fabric and you can see the stitching and mesh through the fabric. They also only put a button on the outside fabric ( there are three layers) in the wrong place so the back was quite a bit higher than the front when bustled. The tailor said he could fix the button placement and attach the other layers so it would bustle correctly. As we were discussing where to put the button and hook he kept moving the mark and looking confused. Finally I told him I could do it myself as it's just hand stitching. He kept laughing and shrugging his shoulders. The dress is too short, as it was not supposed to be hemmed, and the fabric ruined with the mesh they added. Hopefully this helps someone else.
