    Lunch Musubi menu
    Macy H.

Stopped by while walking around downtown for some takeout. We got a double order of the pork musubi and Korean marinated chicken musubi. Our order came out pretty quickly, so we were in and out. The restaurant itself is small, but is clean and looks much more modern than a lot of other restaurants in the area. I like bbq sauce so I thought the pork Musubi could have used a little more sauce but my husband, who doesn't care much for saucy things, thought it was perfect. The musubis by themselves were both tasty and a nice change from the traditional spam Musubi. Both musubi's came with a side of kim chee, so the fattiness of the meat plus the acid of the kim chee was *chefs kiss* perfection. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be going back for more.

Food was excellent. Warm musubi and house made chips with pineapple salsa. Clean and cute!

Excellent. I had the loco moco and it hit the spot. Waiter was very kind. Chef came out to see how I liked the meal. I'd like to go back tomorrow and get a few musubi.

Awesome food. Wayne was honest and gave great costumer service. We will come back. We will be back.

Service was great but the food was underwhelming. I can get a similar musubi from the grocery store. They say they're "beast size" yet there's barely any meat inside. We got the spam, the chicken and the pork and all were just ok. The breakfast plate was also expensive for what it was. I wouldn't come back.

So good! Walking by, we stopped here for an easy lunch. Tried the Supreme & Pork Musubis. The food was so good. Great service. Beautiful waterfront view.

This is my boyfriend and I's first time coming to Hilo and we both wanted to try Musubi. I am vegan and both the waitress and chef were extremely kind and accommodating in checking and letting me know what was available for me to eat and even offering certain accommodations to me; it's all i could honestly ask for when I go out to eat. The food was delicious aswell and a great first introduction to a native Hawaiian food, makes me wish I lived here so I could come here all the time cause it would honestly be one of my go to spots. I hope you guys sell merchandise like stickers and stuff online so I can support!

Service was amazing. Ambiance was top notch. Definitely took me aback because title of the restaurant. Thought it'd be a ordinary place for musubis! Definitely not ordinary and the food has some love in it for sure. Feels homemade and just over all a very welcoming spot. Had the pot roast with curry. The portion was perfect. Perfect amount of ingredients. Meat was very tender and veggies had a good snap but still tender as well. Impressed by how fluffy the rice was. Musubis are great! Rice was fluffy as well and my favorite had to be the supreme. It was spicy, sweet and each bite was perfect. Will be coming again! Mahalos for the amazing service and for making us feel at home.

We ordered the pork musubi, Korean chicken, and Hawaiian omelette. All were super great! Thank you. Looking forward to trying this place out for dinner one day.

New restaurant. French inspired. Owners are very nice. Everything was very tasty! Open at 5pm!

Double Beast Size Supreme Spam Musubi

As my wife and I stolled by the shops on Kamehameha Avenue along the Hilo bayfront, I stopped to chuckle over the name of a tiny restaurant, "Musubeast Beastro," inventively letting you know that this place specializes in musubi, the snack made of a piece of spam or other meat sanwiched between blocks of rice and wrapped in dried seaweed. Okay, maybe visitors to Hawaii aren't familiar with musubi, but it's familiar fare here in Hawaii. We stopped in a couple of bookstores, wandered through an art gallery, visited the Tsunami Museum, and then decided we would stop for lunch at Musubeast. When we sat down, I told the server that they get my award for the best business name among all those we saw today! She laughed, and said they had only been open about a month (we ate their in mid-December). Musubeast proved to be a very good choice. The place was small, only a few tables, but comfortable. We watched several families come in with young children and depart with bags of musubi treats, apparently return customers. The unusual menu features breakfast and lunch selections, each list two typed pages. We decided to split a "Double Beast Size Supreme Spam Musubi, "Grilled Spam served on a bed of rice with Teriyaki Sauce and Spicy Aioli & Furukaki wrpped in Nori (seaweed)." A mini would have cost just $5.95, but the full Beast was $8.95. When we checked out, we discovered they gave us a 10% Kamaaina special as Hawaii residents. Our Musubeast arrived beautifully presented, and excellently prepared. It was, as we say in Hawaii, ono! Delicious. Enough for two oldsters. Your experience may vary. The staff were very nice, and trying very hard. If we lived here in Hilo, we would be among those returning customers, no doubt! I hope they make it. They deserve it. .

It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly touched my heart and made me feel celebrated on my special day. I enjoyed fresh-squeezed orange juice and the Belgian waffle with bacon. And you need a reservation. The tiny restaurant only has three two person tables (the other party of four had two pushed together). And it is only open Wednesday thru Saturday, 7:30am- 2pm. I made the reservation for my friend's Birthday lunch by text. It is conveniently located by the farmers market, and there is plenty of free parking in the area. The space is airy, and on our visit, decorated for Easter. We were immediately greeted by Paul. The restaurant is staffed by him, and one other employee. The menu is short, and all the better for it. Paul explained the menu and gave us recommendations. I was already interested in the Pasta de Marco, which appears to be a part of a regular menu. Angel hair pasta, lightly fried, tossed with fresh veggies and pesto, and lightly toasted baguette on the side. We also had the tuna, two ways, and papaya salad. Both were perfect, incredibly fresh, all ingredients balanced, beautifully presented. Paul had us end with the Belgium waffle. I've had waffles in Belgium, and these were the best I've had. Crispy, soft, with berries, whip cream, and powdered sugar, it didn't even need the (warm!) syrup. This experience felt like being a guest in the chef's home. Paul treated all customers as a friend, he was funny, relaxed, and personable. I also personally appreciated it is the safest restaurant for me to eat at as he hates bell peppers as much as I do! The only disappointment when the meal ended. Mahalo!

Our lovely Server took our order and we never saw her again! all the foods were dropped by the other Employees in the black shirt. Idk if the kitchen was extremely short staffed and Aunty went in the back to help cook. We have no idea. I was really amazed that no one lost their patience.. Customer or Staff. WE all looked miserable together. The Host definitely should have communicated with people trying to put their names down that they are very tied up and give an estimated time the cooks are cranking out orders. A lot of people have an agenda. There's tournaments, parties, tours happening and can't afford to just waste 1 1/2- 2 hours sitting in a restaurant. Plus, you may wanna double check your bill. We had two tables side by side but sis merged another random table into our bill and luckily my brother caught it bc it was an extra $80 we almost paid,

When I ordered my chakra latte, I was delighted to hear that the milk options include whole milk, oat milk, coconut milk, and macadamia nut milk. I ordered mine with macadamia nut milk and the barista agreed that it was her favorite option to have with the latte. The drink came out with two edible hibiscus flowers on the straw; it was a sweet treat and great detail! The drink was absolutely delicious! This location has been serving generations of local families like mine for decades. Formerly Queen's Court Restaurant at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, a local gem reinvented five years ago. To WSW Steakhouse. The hotel and restaurant are now officially part of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, still owned and managed by Castle Resorts & Hotels Hawai'i. A fresh new dining concept replacing WSW will happen soon, before winter 2026. Complete with interior renovations, a refreshed menu, new wraparound bar and name. Here's an authentic snapshot, capturing my dining experiences at WSW before this transformation happens. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Tired of waiting for a breakfast table, want the convenience of making a reservation? Don't like your family placed on separate tables? Do you seek comfort and air conditioning in the morning? A venue that offers an upscale breakfast ambiance with ocean views? This is the place. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ À la carte breakfast at WSW is underrated and deserves promoting. The locals, I feel, need to know about this place. Served Mon-Fri with reservations available via the OpenTable app. Recently, I did a two-night stay at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. I decided to dine at WSW for all meals and it introduced me to their breakfast and dinner à la carte experiences. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Savory comfort, genuine hospitality, breathtaking morning views. Hungry? "I'm Starving", the portions and price point sure surprised me. 3 eggs, 2 breakfast meats, choice of starch and a short stack had me content beyond reason. These pancakes aren't premade for quick serving or, so large in size the quality of taste and texture diminishes. They're fluffy, sweet, pillowy with an airy interior, caramelized exterior. Enjoy an order of their hearty + comforting Housemade Corned Beef Hash, where each component melds perfectly together. The eggs are opulent in color and served with your choice of starch. This is my favorite. Their Belgium Waffle is light and delicate, deep subtly butteriness and balanced sweetness. Garnished with blueberries and whipped butter. Simple yet prepared with care. On Saturdays and Sundays, a $25 breakfast buffet with an omelet station is offered. For a $35 upcharge after 8am, enjoy steamed snow crab. carved Prime Rib and bottomless mimosas. A champagne brunch experience I've done many times. As WSW turns into a new dining concept, I hope breakfast remains unchanged. Food, service, ambiance, value, convenience. I currently rate it as the best breakfast spot in East Hawai'i. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dinner. "Sizzling 16oz Ribeye", juicy and tender. Intense sizzle, the flavors were so on-point, the side sauce I ordered wasn't necessary. The quick sear rendered a perfect medium and the caramelized onions were so delicious, I ate them as a no-onion person. Served with garlic mashed potatoes, request a a baked potato upgrade. The Misoyaki Butterfish, moist with a caramelized glaze and rich umami flavor. I would recommend checking the texture of your rice though. Tinono appetizer, amazing flavor and texture profile. A must along with the creamy Lobster Mac 'n Cheese. This is the only restaurant on the East Side that offers a salad bar with dinner. For $10 with any entrée, four offerings plus two outstanding soup selections. The most hearty and delicious Clam Chowder I've had in a while, it deserves a spot on their new menu. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Weekend dinner, holiday and brunch buffets, this is what this location is known for since I was a kid. Even though the lavish offerings and prices have changed over time, the same charm of dining here still remains. I usually only come for two items, the rest is secondary. Snow Crab and Prime Rib. If both are prepared well, I'm satisfied. But there's times the prime rib is inconsistent in-flavor and texture. Yet, I always leave satisfied since everything else usually balances things out. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I feel a sense of belonging, the guest service at WSW makes me feel valued. From entry at the host stand, to the front team, to the managers. I don't feel like I'm just another transaction, but appreciated as a local resident and return customer. Live action stations (omelet/carving), the kitchen team has moments where their level of service isn't consistent with those in the front. It should add to the overall dining experience, be a part of the "show". There's a select few, seniors of the front team who create a meaningful connection each time. My dining experience becomes personalized with genuine empathy and emotional awareness. Thank you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Let's celebrate their evolution, a brand refresh and dining concept change. I'm excited with anticipation and looking forward to supporting your new vision. Thank you for continually elevating the dining experience and welcoming myself + the community back for decades. As a new chapter unfolds, "Congratulations".

We didn't think of anything when we saw it the first time. By just looking at the name of it though, my immediate reaction was, "Is this a kombuchas bar??" Well, it is but it's not just kombuchas they serve; it's more than that. The breakfast/brunch dishes they serve (although they don't have a huge selection) are quite diverse. I do incorporate a lot of vegetarian/vegan diet into my daily meal routine so when I saw the Verdant Vegan I simply couldn't skip it. As my daughter and I usually split a plate when we dine together she agreed to this option of mine. Glad we did. This plate has all sorts of goodness included in it. Sautéed veggies, house-made lentil walnut chorizo, ginger beet kraut, fire-roasted jalapeno cashew crema, fire-roasted tomato salsa, and it's topped it off with sprouts. This whole thing comes with either purple sweet potato home fries or red rice (which we went with the purple sweet potato fries and ended up getting a side red rice. We also got the side kimchi and one egg sunny side up.) And we shared a 16oz Ceremonial Matcha latte as well. This vegan plate is way more than vegan. It's mighty as hell. For those who are still not sure about vegan options will definitely second guess it for something that isn't vegan/vegetarian. It's truly nutrition packed in so many different ways. If I lived close to this cafe, I would eat here once a week to enjoy this delightful meal. I am not kidding. I enjoyed the matcha latte very much although my daughter rated it as "okay". She likes her matcha in a very particular way so it unfortunately didn't impress her. This is not to say that she disliked it. She said it wasn't bad either. This place is a "walk in, order upfront, pick a table where you want to sit and one of the staff will bring your food to you" style cafe. Water is self-served. Once you are done with your meal you'll put your dirty dishes in the designated tub. I like this efficient style of serving food. This place has great vibes as well. A bit hippie-ish where bright dark colors such as purple and red are incorporated into the interior. There is even a stage where bands perform on certain days/times. Quite cool-looking. If you are visiting Hilo soon then put this place on your "must visit" restaurant list. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and quality food will entertain you for sure.
