This place is a gem! My partner & I were looking for healthy food and coffee options in Hilo, but weren't finding much open at 8am. Fortunately, Vibe Cafe exceeded our expectations. Staff was friendly from the moment we walked in (which was right after they turned on the "Open" sign). There were fresh flowers on all the tables (so fragrant!) and modern decor. We got the Jus Avo with egg, strawberry smoothie with protein, coconut yogurt parfait, and a monthly special latte made with Koji rice milk, espresso, and rose petals. The parfait was topped with an edible butterfly, which was such a charming detail! Service was fast (we were in & out in 35 minutes) casual (pay when you order). Love the aesthetics of this place from the neon signs, lights, wallpaper, to the wicker egg chair! It seems their menu changes because a lot of the pictures on Yelp of the food wasn't on the current menu. I ordered the jus' avo and added an egg and well, yup. That's what avocado, egg, and bread taste like haha The kalua pork wrap was soooo good though and my boyfriend couldn't stop commenting on how good the chips were (very nice crunch and flavor) Tried the "mane" matcha drink and I absolutely love their matcha blend! When I was planning a brunch for me and my friends, Vibe Cafe came to mind. I haven't been here since they revamped the cafe so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I searched through their instagram and I saw how cute and aesthetically pleasing their decor is. I knew it was the spot for me. I was planning to have a brunch where I was also proposing to my bridesmaids. I just have a handful of girls but I called ahead to see if I needed to make a reservation in advance for our party. The person I talked to said I didn't need to make one. I was a little nervous about the space because I remember the cafe being a little on the smaller side. Fortunately there were two open tables when we walked in on a Sunday. Perfect for me, my girls, and of course my mother who joined us. The workers were so kind and patient with us. I know we were a bigger party so they even offered to move the tables closer together. They have you order at the front and take your number to the table, where they bring out your food. They also have water available for everyone who wants to help themselves. Our food and drinks were delicious and came out on a timely manner. It even came out faster than I anticipated! We offered to put away our dishes but they told us to leave it on the table and they would put it away for us. How sweet! This spot ended up being the perfect place to have my brunch and I'm so grateful for the cute and warm environment. We all had so much fun! :) read more

Vibe was a vibe! Walked in and thought, what a cute little place! We ordered at the counter and sat down. The people at the counter were friendly! I was kinda stuck between 2 dishes & asked the cashier what she would pick, she said the pollo rustico so that's what I went with. My partner had a pastrami sandwich. We ended up eating half and switching so we could try both! Both sandwiches were made out of ulu bread which was amazing! I loved the use of local ingredients. Vibe Cafe has the cutest inviting aesthetic touches, a delicious fresh menu of items and truly follows their "good vibes only" sign on the wall. Located just 5 minutes from Hilo Airport, you'll find Vibe Cafe in a tiny strip of businesses with plenty of parking. When you walk inside, you're greeted with pink and floral printed walls, fresh plants and cute seating areas with freshly picked tropical flowers on every table. As a vegan, I was so excited to find this spot, and absolutely LOVED everything we ordered! I had the açai bowl and added almond butter. My son had the Strawberry smoothie as a bowl, and also got the pink waffles. We LOVED every bite. The smoothie bowls were some of my favorite ever, and I'm constantly trying new spots. 11/5/24 the cafe is about 10 minutes drive from the airport. There's lots of parking in front and lots of seating both inside and outside. What I love is the aesthetic of the place. There's a cute little dome swing chair against the wall that is a perfect photo op. All along the walls are several outlets and they do have wifi which makes it a great place to work or study. The music is at a good level. The restroom was clean and smelled nice. They have cute shirts for sale. More importantly our coffee drinks tasted great. We ordered the ube latte, Spanish latte and toffee latte. For food we ordered the pastrami sandwich (highly recommend, it was so tasty and juicy) and also the gravalax which is a smoked salmon with cream cheese on toast. Their breads are ulu bread which tasted great for my first time trying it. However I felt the pastrami with chips was more worth the $16 rather than the single salmon toast. Customer service was good. We were greeted upon entering the store and they were pretty quick to get our order out. I'd return to this place next time I'm in Hilo. read more

I knew I liked this place right when I walked in, from the warm bright smile you get from the servers when you walk in and are seated, the relaxed welcoming vibe cafe feeling, and of course the food. I've had the pastrami sandwich which is always amazing and the açaí bowl which came with an assortment of fruits including star fruit, a local fruit hard to find outside Hawaii. Is a really pretty place, very trendy, there is lots of picture spots in here; their drinks are amazing, staff is nice, fast, friendly; prices are fare. The food is good but some combinations are very strong in my opinion, in some plates you can feel just the ginger for example, in my opinion that was too strong for me so I will soften some things. Havent been to vibe since they have new owners decided to order Gravlax toast. It only had one slice of toast the bread was hard and the crust was burnt. Didnt enjoy it. Before the new owners the toast came with 2 slices so i was disappointed for 16 dollars for 1 slice is crazy. The woman at the counter greeted us when we walked in, showed us the menu, and told us where to order when we were ready. Our food came out in a jiffy, most likely since both dishes didn't require any cooking or heating. Friendly and quick service overall. My partner and I decided to try out the beet poke bowl and açaí bowl for an early lunch. The poke bowl was a nice mix of flavors and textures. Beet poke with pickled onions, avocado, cucumbers, kimchi, seaweed salad, and pickled ginger sat atop some white rice and was drizzled with a wasabi aioli and furikake. While not your typical poke bowl here in Hilo, it was tasty and refreshing. The açaí bowl was delicious, but a bit on the pricey side at $18. The granola was the highlight as well as the nice dollop of almond butter. I would have loved if it had more fruit on it besides just bananas. Still, can't go wrong with an açaí bowl! Vibe is a friendly vegan/vegetarian spot with delicious food. When I was vegetarian this was the go-to spot for me. I would either order the vegan classic burger or vegan bbq brisket. Both were tasty and I felt it was worth it for the price. All the burgers came with potato chips which was a nice compliment. The menu is very diverse as there's lots of options and honestly everything looks fire. I never actually ate there as I mostly did take out but they have indoor and outdoor seating. I looked up this place on yelp when I was looking for a healthy place to grab and go food on our way to the southernmost point on the island. My husband and I ordered the pokey bowl and the beat pokey salad. I noticed that the bowl had avocado, but not the salad so I asked her to please add some avocado to my salad. She failed to tell me that she was going to charge me three dollars extra for a tiny plastic container of smashed avocado. Hence the four star rating instead of five. She wasn't very friendly. She acted like I was a pain and she didn't want to be bothered with taking my order. When she delivered our food for takeout, about 10 minutes later, she still didn't smile and basically shoved it at me. The beet salad and the bowl we're both around $18 each which is sort of pricey but the ingredients were quality and it was very filling and delicious. I was happy to see that it was loaded with beets and the wasabi vinaigrette dressing was excellent. my husband enjoyed his bowl Very much as well. They had a lot of breakfast items on the menu and the monkey toast with the Nutella and the bananas on. It looked very delicious but $12 seems very steep price for that item. I think this place has a lot going for it and I hope the owner or whoever was serving me isn't too stressed out like that all the time because this place is really good. But I was treated like that every time I came I wouldn't really want to go back again . The small restaurant was very clean inside, and there were quite a few places to sit inside if you choose.
