Both stores are filled with a large variety of piano brands and Manuel was very patient who took the time to allow me time to demo any piano (even the Fazioli grands!) as long as I needed with no pressure at all. I was very satisfied with the staff and they are not only knowledgeable about their products, but are very polite and helpful. I told my friends to visit Showcase Pianos and they had a wonderful experience as well. The manager really listens to what my family's needs were and his staff were able to narrow down a few pianos for me to decide on based on my budget and piano skills. As an university student looking to replace an old piano, I was very keen on trying quality pianos that will not hurt my family's budget. I ultimately special ordered a piano that was fit for me and my sister's level of playing. Despite a delay, the piano arrived in perfect condition and Manuel was very pleasant to offer a slight compensation for the ordeal. I booked this lesson early on in the week, for Saturday September 19 at 12 noon. Ava music contacted me and asked to change the time to 11. This was an inconvenience but I made it work. Upon arrival my instructor claims she doesn't have the book she needs in stock and that I'll only be doing a consultation. This lack of professionalism upset me. I asked why the book she needed wasn't here. They had one week to prepare for my lesson. Instead of neutralizing the situation she blamed me. Claiming I booked the lesson last night and she didn't have enough time. FALSE. I booked it 5 days ago. I corrected her and was offended that she blamed me instead of taking responsibility. Extremely unprofessional. I wouldn't give them my business.

Hiroki-san was very courteous and quick in his email replies to book an appointment. He's in high demand so he requires almost a month's advanced notice to get an ideal time. When he arrived and did an initial test, the piano was flat to the point that an A was registering as a G. He said he would try to tune it but with the risk that a string might snap as he did multiple passes at it. I have no idea how piano tuning works and agreed to a more complex option on his price list. He cleaned and vacuumed my piano and was super patient with all my questions. My piano was returned to proper tuning after he worked for 3 hours straight tuning by ear then playing a little bit. Hiroki-san also gave me some maintenance tips and a card to lookup my client file for future annual tunings (which I will be adhering to here on out). I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking to tune their acoustic piano. Thank you so much for restoring my piano!

Be careful when you bring them something in for repair. I once bought a rare new Rickenbacker…read moreDakota solidbody guitar from them and one pickup stopped working so I brought it in for repair. When I inquired about it they said they sent it back, never to be seen again. Rickenbacker replacement pickups can be ordered. Another time I bought a new Firebird and it had fret sprout and they said they would fix that. It seemed to take forever and when I finally got it there was a ding in the back that wasn't there before. I brought in a keyboard for repair and they lost the case for the soundboard that was installed in the keyboard. When you bring something in for repair, bring it in bare bones, no strap, strings accessories in the case or they might lose them.
