Visited the North Van location and was in great hands with guitar rep, TARA (super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating with my requests). Rented a Kramer Nite-V for two months for a fair price. Kept me from going insane. Only good things to say about the rental process. Other staff was great, too. Will definitely recommend to others and come back again when I'm in town.

I asked the gentleman if it was definitely a C major harmonica, which he assuredly confirmed. Went home and immediately noticed one of the scales was incomplete, therefore making it unusable for me. The F note was missing for one of the 2 scales. That was by design, of course, but what was not - was the gentleman not letting me know before the purchase that it was not a full C major scale. I didn't see the accompanying flyer either, because I bought a new one, not the one I saw on the counter. Going back the next day he was unfriendly, and refused to offer a refund, because "i had already blown into the harmonica". That to me is just an excuse to refuse the refund, because modern day sanitization. would have easily solved that. It's not the price tag that bothers me, but having been deceived and having received poor customer service does. Wrote them an email, but never heard back. Avoid this shop unless you really need their services.

For the record, guitar lessons here are from professionally world renowned musicians Stephen Nikleva and Jimmy Roy, who have both worked with international artists and each has a very unique and amazing guitar style. Lessons start at $20.00 per half an hour and are from Monday to Friday between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. Bonerattle is a gem of a music store!

It's basically a music based movement program that allows active participation in singing, rhythm chants, instruments and dancing. There's set classes and times available each quarter, but if you're not entire sure, they offer a free first class for you to try. Email communication was easy and the instructors are wonderful. They also offer private piano, drums and guitar lessons for older kids and adults.
