On May 14th of 2026 my sister and I took my computer over to Jason's Computer Repair, on May 25th Jason sent me a text saying my hard drive was failing, that I needed a new one and the cost would be $499.00, he said someone else would charge me thousands (I am repeating what is on the text from Jason) I said okay to the $499.00 plus tax and I waited and I waited, he said he had to order the new hard drive, so I waited and waited. On June 2nd Jason said he had the new hard drive and needed another day or 2, On June 9th Jason said I could pick up my computer and I did. The next day my computer crashed again. So I decided to purchase a new computer and when the tech came to my home to set up my new computer, he asked where is your old hard drive, I said Jason Computer Repair didn't give it back to me. I text Jason I would like my old hard drive back, he lied and said he gave it to me the day I picked up my computer that I must have lost it. I said no you did not give it back to me. I was getting nowhere with Jason so I took my original old computer that Jason said he put in a new hard drive in to A computer Engineer in Austin, What they found inside was an old hard drive, older than my old computer (there was no new hard drive and he did not download my old info onto the old drive he installed. The computer Engineer gave me the proof of the older hard drive and they could not recover any of my data, there was nothing. So I gave Jason another chance and asked him if he would look around to see if he could find my old hard drive and he lied and still insisted he gave it to me. I have no idea what he did with my original hard drive or who has all my old info. Now I am experiencing stolen identity. My Amazon Prime account stolen, I have had to report all my credit cards stolen...it is a nightmare. All my info with user names and passwords were on that original old hard drive, My social security info, my medicare info, etc. etc.....I do not know for sure if Jason sold my info but it is sure crazy that he will not return my original hard drive....Did he put in someone else's computer ? Did he sell my info ? I don't know for sure what has happened to my original old hard drive, all I know is that Jason was the last person to have it and is lying about giving it back to me. I ask how someone can do this and I just don't know unless he is selling info for money? All I know for sure are is that we trusted Jason and took my computer to him on May 14th, I picked up only my computer on June 9th, Jason refuses to return my original hard drive, he did not replace with a new hard drive and charged me for it. It is the worse computer experience I have ever had. John Cloud diagnosed a failed memory stick (oh no! they cost so much now!). I supplied an "extra" memory stick from one of the other computers at our church and John continued the repair diagnosing and fixing some particularly nasty software errors that had resulted from the initial hardware failure. All of our installed software now works reliably again! Great job! The machine was back in service on March 5 for a very reasonable repair cost! I placed my order via phone call on Sunday for a Friday delivery - 3 TVs, 3 mounts, and…read moreinstallation. I stated I moved and provided my new address but the representative only updated the address for ONE (1) of my six (6) items. On Monday the mounts were delivered to the old address, I called customer service and they re-shipped them. I asked about the TVs and he confirmed two (2) of the TVs had the old address listed. He stated he would fix it. I get an email the following day (Tuesday) stating the delivery address couldn't be updated because it wasn't being delivered via a list of certain carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx) so I called back. Customer service was no help! They wouldn't let me pick up my order in store and pretty much told me they couldn't do anything and to call back again tomorrow as the address can be updated upon pick up. I told the guy no, it is their mistake and I have called every day this week and spent over 40 minutes each time talking to them to get this resolved with no resolution and that they should call me back on the number I called from when the TVs are picked up. The representative agreed, but I never got a call on Wednesday. I called back Wednesday and they were still no help saying they can't change the address because of delivery (which by the way the TVs weren't even picked up until Friday morning according to Roadie (delivery company). I go into Best Buy (Round Rock, TX) on Thursday. The person there said I should have never purchased it via phone call because their customer service sucks (preach!!!) and go a supervisor for me. The supervisor (Hayli?) was also no help and essentially sold me two additional TVs. I addressed my concerns of the two (2) TVs being delivered to an address I no longer had access to and she didn't seem concerned saying that would be something I could report to lost/stolen. The other phone number listed on the account did get a voicemail Thursday afternoon stating they were able to update the address. I had no faith! And wouldn't you know Friday morning I get a text from the Roadie (delivery company) that they are on the way. I look up the address and it's the WRONG ADDRESS!!! I text the guy and he called me. He seemed semi willing to drive to my new address until he realized it was "three times the distance" and told me to contact Roadie. He had no contact info for Roadie for me to call. I found a number in my email and called it. After being on hold for 30 minutes it disconnected me. I tried again; after 30 minutes disconnected again. I kept texting the driver while on hold but after an hour he gave up and returned my TVs back to Best Buy. This whole thing was a shit show! I have learned I will never place an order via phone call again. I will always go in or do it online. And that is a huge if because I am so pissed at Best Buy. The one and only bright thing from this was Dave and Joe and who installed the TVs for me.
