Beware Beware Beware of: Jason's Computer Repair Jason Hebert 1225 Town Center Dr. (The Foundry) Pflugerville TX 78660 Jason Computer Repair works out of his apartment address above. On May 14th of 2026 my sister and I took my computer over to Jason's Computer Repair, on May 25th Jason sent me a text saying my hard drive was failing, that I needed a new one and the cost would be $499.00, he said someone else would charge me thousands (I am repeating what is on the text from Jason) I said okay to the $499.00 plus tax and I waited and I waited, he said he had to order the new hard drive, so I waited and waited. On June 2nd Jason said he had the new hard drive and needed another day or 2, On June 9th Jason said I could pick up my computer and I did. The next day my computer crashed again. So I decided to purchase a new computer and when the tech came to my home to set up my new computer, he asked where is your old hard drive, I said Jason Computer Repair didn't give it back to me. I text Jason I would like my old hard drive back, he lied and said he gave it to me the day I picked up my computer that I must have lost it. I said no you did not give it back to me. I was getting nowhere with Jason so I took my original old computer that Jason said he put in a new hard drive in to A computer Engineer in Austin, What they found inside was an old hard drive, older than my old computer (there was no new hard drive and he did not download my old info onto the old drive he installed. The computer Engineer gave me the proof of the older hard drive and they could not recover any of my data, there was nothing. So I gave Jason another chance and asked him if he would look around to see if he could find my old hard drive and he lied and still insisted he gave it to me. I have no idea what he did with my original hard drive or who has all my old info. Now I am experiencing stolen identity. My Amazon Prime account stolen, I have had to report all my credit cards stolen...it is a nightmare. All my info with user names and passwords were on that original old hard drive, My social security info, my medicare info, etc. etc.....I do not know for sure if Jason sold my info but it is sure crazy that he will not return my original hard drive....Did he put in someone else's computer ? Did he sell my info ? I don't know for sure what has happened to my original old hard drive, all I know is that Jason was the last person to have it and is lying about giving it back to me. I ask how someone can do this and I just don't know unless he is selling info for money? All I know for sure are is that we trusted Jason and took my computer to him on May 14th, I picked up only my computer on June 9th, Jason refuses to return my original hard drive, he did not replace with a new hard drive and charged me for it. It is the worse computer experience I have ever had. This place is a mess. This guy clearly doesn't know how to handle external drives. It took him over 7 days, and I didn't even receive a proper diagnostic report. He peeled off the label so roughly -- it looked like it had been chewed off. That label should never be removed, even if the drive is opened for inspection. tl:dr Ordered a custom build, Jason tried to sell me a $600 prebuilt computer from Amazon for $1732. I have previously gone to Jason for computer repairs and been happy with his work. I've even recommended him to several friends. This last December I wanted to get a custom built gaming computer for my son and reached out to Jason to see if he did custom builds. He said yes, and we agreed on a budget of $2000. He contacted me a couple weeks later letting me know the build was complete and sent me some pictures and the specs of the hardware installed. I didn't even think to check the prices of the components because I had had no issue with Jason's work before. I thought the motherboard choice was weird because I'd never heard of STGAubron mobo's being sold separately (as brands like ASUS do for custom builders.) The tip-off came when I picked the machine up. He handed me a bag of branded peripherals. Anyone who has ever been around gaming PCs/custom builds etc knows the only way someone has matching branded keyboard, mouse, mousepad, headphones and an RGB SOUNDBAR is if they bought the PC as a package. They definitely do not have all of those items matching from the same off-brand no name manufacturer unless they were purchased as a package. I still wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but when I got home I started looking online. Sure enough, there on Amazon was the STGAubron prebuilt PC with the exact named parts specifications Jason had sent me, packaged with the exact same STGAubron mouse, STGAubron mouse pad, STGAubron Headphones, STGAubron Keyboard, and the cherry on top, an STGAUBRON RGB Soundbar. When I say exact I mean down to the component brand, model and spec of everything in the entire machine. I did some additional checking and found that I could not find an STGAubron motherboard sold separately anywhere, the only way they sold them was in prebuilt PCs. I reached out to STGAubron and they confirmed, they do not sell their motherboards separately retail in the US. The price of this prebuilt machine package, $609. (Jason charged me $1732. When I confronted Jason about this he initially lied repeatedly and started saying that this was all supplied by his "tech." He continued to claim that he bought all the parts from his "tech" and assembled the machine himself. At this point I had done more than enough research to know that I was being defrauded and was done arguing with him. I informed him that I would be taking him to small claims court with the evidence I had gathered. After continuing to lie he eventually agreed to refund me what I paid minus several hundred dollars for setup and a "restocking fee," in the amount of $1353.21. At this point I was tired of dealing with it and accepted. On December 12th he told me he would initiate the refund (PayPal) and that it would take 3-5 business days. On December 20th (6th business day) I contacted him and told him I had not gotten a refund. He claimed that he had initiated it and it would be arriving soon. He then initiated the refund that day. How do I know? PayPal tells you immediately when someone initiates a refund and displays the status as pending until it goes through. So yeah, he did not initiate it until the 20th when I contacted him, and lied about that too. Next time you are attempting to scam someone, don't give them a branded mouse, keyboard, mousepad, headphones and soundbar matching the brand of the mobo. You probably would have gotten away with this if you hadn't because I wouldn't have started checking. As there is a high chance Jason will dispute this, to anyone who needs it I am happy to email/provide all of the aforementioned evidence. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with this repair service. The repair process took nearly a year, with multiple delays and very poor communication throughout. I repeatedly had to follow up myself just to get any updates on the status of my device. After finally receiving my laptop back, I discovered that the hardware configuration had changed. The system originally had 16GB of RAM in dual-channel, but it was returned with only 8GB installed, with one slot empty and running at a lower speed. This resulted in reduced performance and noticeable stuttering in games. When I raised this issue, I did not receive a clear resolution. Instead, I was told that components were "swapped and transferred," but the system was not restored to its original configuration. Overall, the handling of my device felt careless, and the outcome did not match the condition in which it was originally provided. I expected the laptop to be returned in the same configuration it was brought in with. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. read more

(TLDR at the bottom) ______ Man where do I start, well I guess it all started when a big storm had came in back in July and messed up my houses electricity, causing my pc to go through a surge, causing my display and video on my PC to not work, leaving my monitors with a empty black screen and I was distraught. That marked the beginning of a month long journey, me and mom had then went by and dropped off the PC, told him what was up and he got to work, and at first we thought it was just a minor mess up with the motherboard and gpu that needed some tuning but turned out it was way dire..I ended up needing to replace the GPU at first I thought I was screwed frankly and would have to buy it via third party with no warranty or anything but then this man Jason was still there to help us out, to save my PC and he was able to supply me with a GPU replacement at a excellent price and warranty. Oh but it wasnt over..there was still trouble ahead for when I got home with the GPU replacement somehow my outlets or something in the PC had shorted it, killing THAT GPU, but luckily thanks to Jason's warranty he got ANOTHER one, hooked it up for me and now as of August 26th 2025 I am sitting in my room as my PC updates and my monitors are back on once again, all thanks to Jason.
