Second time working with Jason and man he is good. I had real issues with a failing hard drive and he was personable, helpful and efficient! Not to mention his price was ALOT less to fix then going to geek squad. Guaranteed the work and I couldn't be happier. My laptop and files were all there on the new drive and computer works like new! Highly recommend! read more

Quick response. Great communication. Diagnosed problem quickly. Offered succinct recommendations. Would use again.

Quality, local computer repair business in the Pflugerville area! Would highly recommend I called him in the morning with my issue and dropped off my laptop right away. He kept me updated via text. The same day, he had tracked down the issue, which would've cost more than the laptop to fix. We opted to let go of the laptop (Jason agreed to help us dispose of it properly!) and payment for the diagnostic was done remotely via a web app. Very efficient work and clear communication. Extremely pleasant experience. read more

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. For one week I've been battling with PayPal over a $2000+ fraud. Jason got into my computer, located 4 Trojan viruses that were auto generating purchases from my IP. Took screenshots for my case, cleaned it up squeaky clean and added extensions so my browser stays out of the dark. I am truly grateful and if you need help, Jason is your guy!!! read more

Let me begin to say this experience in having my computer repaired by Jason was the BEST experience I've ever had!!! He is so polite and professional, and he definitely knows what he is doing! Communication was also the best service ever! If I could give you more stars I definitely would. My computer is very old, and it was freezing and after a long repair he pulled through like a champ! Would I recommend him ABSOLUTELY!!! His pricing for what he does is also great. I will continue with his yearly service in keeping my computer up to date and cleaned up! BEST repair company I've encountered. Great job Jason you're my hero!!! See you next year! :) read more

I had a critical issue with my laptop which made it unusable. I took it to Jason's Computer Repair and he went the extra mile to get all of the problems resolved. When I got the laptop back, it worked without any issues. Jason's is very knowledgeable, the prices are reasonable, & gave me a heads up on pricing before performing any work. read more

I first found Jason years (and years) ago when I owned/operated an appraisal company. We had tight deadlines for reports so when a computer broke down getting quality help quickly was the key. Jason was always on top of the problem and if it got complicated he gave us multiple options. Fast forward to today, I am retired and moved to New Braunfels a few months ago and my computer started acting up. He first tried to figure out what was happening remotely but my computer kept dropping the internet connection. I was not about to hand my computer over to someone I didn't know or trust (and at what cost??) so my husband drove it up to Pflugerville. As it turns out, my hard drive had completely failed (it was a very old computer). Jason managed to retrieve all of my data and put it on a new computer at a crazy good price. When I owned my company I worked with several techs before Jason and I can say I don't expect to ever look for another technician again unless he decides to retire, then I'm SOL. read more

Go see Jason if you need any kind of computer work. He's an honest, knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and personable technician who will diagnose and fix your computer problem and will not try to up sell you. Jason is also very responsive and takes the time to answer any and all questions. My family and I have been trusting Jason with our computer needs for over five years. Whether it's building a new computer, or getting an older laptop/desktop running like new again, replacing a battery, boosting performance, or performing data recovery, I highly recommend him. Thank you, Jason! You are the best! read more

Let me begin by saying that Jason is a super cool, nice guy, and I enjoyed chatting with him and supporting his small business. This is why he gets 2 stars. I also waited until I got my PC fixed elsewhere to make sure this would be an accurate review and not based solely on assumptions. Unfortunately, being a nice guy doesn't mean getting away with poor service. To avoid writing a novel, let me summarize the issue and then a list of the pros and cons of my experience. SITUATION: My GPU (2080ti) went out, so I assumed it was overheated (it was old and dirty). So I bought a new one (3060ti), and things worked fine. A day later, my CPU was overheating, and I could see leakage from the AIO CPU liquid cooler. Decided to take it to a professional to do a full diagnostic and determine what, if any, hardware would need replaced. PROS: 1. Jason is a cool dude who's fun to talk to. 2. Most of his communication was timely and responsive; I was always able to get an update when I wanted it, all via text messaging. Huge value prop. CONS: 1. Does not seem to have much experience or success with hardware issues. All my problems were related to hardware not working and wanting things diagnosed and replaced. His lack of expertise (or at least articulation) was evident. 2. Time estimates are a bit off - saying he could get something done in a week, when it actually took 4 weeks (and "done" is arguable....). I often had to reach out for the update, which is fine since he actually responded quickly, but would expect to be contacted and not the one contacting. 3. He (or one of his tech employees) did a full cleaning of the motherboard and GPU. However upon getting it back, there were still significant stains and dried goop everywhere. Of course, this meant my GPU and/or MB failed again (worked fine for an hour, then completely went dark). 4. My liquid cooler was replaced with another one, however I did not receive any of the extra parts or receipt for it (was charged $175, but my own research after showed it was less than half that). 5. I also had a nicer RGB fan that was replaced (to accommodate the new cooler), but I never got it back. He just kept it. CONCLUSION: When I raised some of these concerns with Jason, he offered to clean it again for free (which is nice, but also, expected since the service wasn't done right). It had been 4 weeks at this point, so I decided against it and just took it to another business, PC Genie in downtown Austin. The tech there did a full, thorough cleaning and was able to test all the parts. He was also surprised at the poor quality of work done by Jason's team. The damage from the leaked cooler ruined the motherboard, which is all I ended up needing to replace. OVERALL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Jason for any hardware issues. Perhaps he's great with the software side of things, but if you need any physical diagnoses or work done, this is not the business to work with. read more

Jason provided a phenomenal customer service experience. He cleaned my laptop since I mistakenly downloaded malware (or something I shouldn't have downloaded), and it works much better than before. He also arranged my icons in a way that makes sense. He's personable and professional, and should I ever have issues again, at the click of a button, Jason is there. THANK YOU, JASON! read more

If you've got dead or faulty components, learn to do them yourself. It's easy and you'll save yourself a TON of money from being overcharged for parts. Thank you for taking a brief moment to read this note. I own a Private Investigation Company, and through my business dealings with Jason Computer Repair, I have found Jason to be exceptional, professional, and very courtesy. We have been using Jason for over (10) ten years now to work on all our computers, and in my type of business it's so important to have great communication. I came across Jason after using Yelp to find another computer repair guy after my guy I've used before was unavailable Based on the Yelp reviews I decided to give Jason a shot. My interactions with Jason from the beginning was very pleasant and profesional. He gave me good expectations of what to expect as he troubleshooted my laptops and he let me know he had over 10 years of experience. I had two laptops with issues. An HP with a virus and a Toshiba with a Windows blue screen error. After my first call with Jason I checked a couple of places that didn't work with my schedule and went with Jason whom proceeded to set up a nearby meeting location. We met up and I dropped off my laptops. Jason was very good about communicating progress on the repair of my laptops. I wasn't in a rush to have my laptops back so I told him to take his time. I have the laptops back in 3 days. The laptop with the virus costed e $95 and the Toshiba costed me $140 including the hard drive which had failed and data transfer. After receiving my laptops. The Toshiba one wasn't typing, I hadn't even turned my laptop on for a few days since receiving it. The HP one had no issues. I immediately called Jason and explained. He agreed to take a look at. It turned out the keyboard drivers needed to be installed. I was very pleased that in service even after I paid him and had discovered the issued. He didn't try to charge me or accuse me wrongdoing regarding the keyboard issue. I'm hoping my computer issues are finished with from here on out. However if anyone I know needs their computer fixed I know who to send them to! read more

Called Jason up, told him the issues and in 3 hours he had me back running. Great price, great service. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Jason came across as trust worthy. But he is a glib talker. I paid $89.99 to reset my computer after i had a virus. in my discussion with him he said that my computer would work exactly like before and promised he will do it right. Then he has me sign the waiver that's one mile long. Just after i got home from his home, i had terrible troubles. Texted him immediately. But all he does is divert and point to that stupid contract that he has perfected over 14 years. It's almost a week after and i am wasting so much time to get my course work completed and i cannot. i had VPN before and now too. His settings are not allowing VPN to work correctly and i can't do anything. repeated requests for help Have fell on deaf ears. This is clear violation of trust. He is really not trust worthy and i wouldn't suggest anyone seek his help. It will be money under the drain. Now i have to seek help with some one else. That's a real shame. read more

My computer kept crashing because of my nvidia graphics card and Jason was able to set me up virtually and fix my computer in under an hour. He even did a clean up and optimization. My computer crashed one more time and Jason was super responsive, found the little bugger of programming that was causing the issue and fixed at no additional cost. Jason replaced the screen and did it very quickly while I waited. He provided the service after hours and was very understanding of my urgent need. Additionally, although we had a greed on a price for the service, once he replaced the screen, he reduced the price because he stated that the work went faster than he thought it would go... I was running into problems with my sibling's PC. I got to a point where I just couldn't fix it anymore, and decided to look for places that fixed electronics, but since I really don't trust some big companies to fix my problem, I decided to look on yelp. I found Jason and noticed they had really great reviews, so I took it upon myself to reach out and check how much it would be to solve my problem. They will need to see what the problem is first before they give a price. The price wasn't so bad, but they did fix the pc for me so I didn't really care how much it would be. Anywho, I dropped my pc off at their place and they had it ready in 3hrs. They were also very accommodating to setting up a date and time. Definitely recommend reaching out and see if they can fix ur problem! read more

I originally picked Jason's because of his high Yelp rating. I'm going to add to that rating. The problem we had was the hinge of my wife's laptop was "busted" because my grandson tried to close the laptop with a carrot inside. After putting up with it for several months, I researched and found Jason's. Fixed quickly at a reasonable price! I've brought him another repair job since then. A couple things about Jason's: 1. He works out of his house. Due to covid and other reversals, he gave up his storefront and is entirely remote. Same with a couple technicians who work with him. This appears to be part of the new entrepreneurial business model. 2. He worked as a technician for Dell for 10+ years before going solo, for all the usual reasons. 3. If you plan to take advantage of Jason's skills, either call or text him first. Because he doesn't have a storefront, getting to him is a little trickier but easy once you figure it out. (The Yelp entry hasn't caught up with this yet.) He is very responsive to calls and texts. AlB read more

Last winter/spring during a 7 month-long visit to Austin, Jason reconfigured/updated an extremely nice new-to-me, aka used, laptop that was given to me when the laptop I brought on my trip decided to fry itself into the happy computer recycling bin at the landfill. Do you know what's worse than the blue screen of death? Smoke wafting from the charging port. Until today, I realized I never left my thumbs up for Jason's Computer Repair. I have my own computer guy here at home in Maryland that I've been using for over 15 years, so choosing Jason by trusting a bunch of online reviews was definitely not in my comfort zone. It's amazing what opens up when one steps out of that comfort zone! I'm back in Maryland now and about 1 week ago there was some kind of Window update that stealthy wonked out the laptop that Jason worked on last year. It just progressively got worse, slowly but surely. I know I'm not alone when I say I absolutely hate looking at spinning icons waiting for nothing to happen. So, guess who I called? Jason, of course! Actually, while I was unsuccessfully attempting to un-wonk my laptop, I noticed Jason's remote repair icon on my desktop. I had completely forgotten about it being there and was wondering why I never deleted it. "It's because you need him today," said the little voice in my head. Boy, talk about me being lucky because Jason was immediately available when I contacted him on a late Friday afternoon. I love the fact that I'm able to watch as software repairs are done remotely. While he was in, he was also able to do maintenance and change some defaults that I gave up on. The guy knows his stuff, he truly enjoys what he does. After watching him, I was absolutely delusional thinking I could fix my laptop. I even told him that I was sticking to my day job which is being retired. Jason's Computer Repair is a small business that continually demonstrates skill, knowledge, efficiency, professionalism, honesty, great communication, friendliness and reasonable prices. I highly recommend Jason and his company. I sincerely wish I could always find different businesses run like Jason's because it would make life a lot easier! read more

My only regret was not getting ahold of Jason sooner this guy works magic! I have an older Dell laptop that was running super slow and I had to restart it often to even use it. Luckily I did have some recent backups but had a gap of a couple months that was kind of important. The system finally BSOD'd on me and normally I can get these systems backup and running in a matter of hour with a few rufus sticks I have laying around or even safe mode to the system but this one was being very stubborn. So I searched Yelp and luckily found Jason who was nearby, he got this system back in tip top shape. Thanks Jason! read more

I highly recommend Jason. This is the 2nd time we've used Jason for computer repair/recovery on DIFFERENT laptops. Like a lot of people we buy low-priced laptops because we use them lightly for the internet and Office programs. Fully aware that "you get what you pay for" the laptops crap out after about 3 years. When our laptop hard drive died, Jason was able to fully recover our files, update the laptop with a more powerful, faster hard drive, and reload our files and Office products. All at half the price of a new laptop. I called him in the morning and it was all fixed that afternoon. It now runs better than new. read more
