I placed my order via phone call on Sunday for a Friday delivery - 3 TVs, 3 mounts, and installation. I stated I moved and provided my new address but the representative only updated the address for ONE (1) of my six (6) items. On Monday the mounts were delivered to the old address, I called customer service and they re-shipped them. I asked about the TVs and he confirmed two (2) of the TVs had the old address listed. He stated he would fix it. I get an email the following day (Tuesday) stating the delivery address couldn't be updated because it wasn't being delivered via a list of certain carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx) so I called back. Customer service was no help! They wouldn't let me pick up my order in store and pretty much told me they couldn't do anything and to call back again tomorrow as the address can be updated upon pick up. I told the guy no, it is their mistake and I have called every day this week and spent over 40 minutes each time talking to them to get this resolved with no resolution and that they should call me back on the number I called from when the TVs are picked up. The representative agreed, but I never got a call on Wednesday. I called back Wednesday and they were still no help saying they can't change the address because of delivery (which by the way the TVs weren't even picked up until Friday morning according to Roadie (delivery company). I go into Best Buy (Round Rock, TX) on Thursday. The person there said I should have never purchased it via phone call because their customer service sucks (preach!!!) and go a supervisor for me. The supervisor (Hayli?) was also no help and essentially sold me two additional TVs. I addressed my concerns of the two (2) TVs being delivered to an address I no longer had access to and she didn't seem concerned saying that would be something I could report to lost/stolen. The other phone number listed on the account did get a voicemail Thursday afternoon stating they were able to update the address. I had no faith! And wouldn't you know Friday morning I get a text from the Roadie (delivery company) that they are on the way. I look up the address and it's the WRONG ADDRESS!!! I text the guy and he called me. He seemed semi willing to drive to my new address until he realized it was "three times the distance" and told me to contact Roadie. He had no contact info for Roadie for me to call. I found a number in my email and called it. After being on hold for 30 minutes it disconnected me. I tried again; after 30 minutes disconnected again. I kept texting the driver while on hold but after an hour he gave up and returned my TVs back to Best Buy. This whole thing was a shit show! I have learned I will never place an order via phone call again. I will always go in or do it online. And that is a huge if because I am so pissed at Best Buy. Ordered a microwave online that was supposed to be in Excellent condition. Got it home all The way to Temple and it did not have any of the mounting hardware and was scratched and dinged. Could not reach in store associates via telephone and Best Buy Customer service on the phone was terrible. They were No help and could I hardly understand them. I asked again and they directed me to the geek squad, there I meet Kit she was super nice very well informed and recommended me a lot of things that I didn't even think about. I would say this was an interesting interaction. Best Buy is locked into only selling phones for Verizon and ATT. If you want to buy a phone outright and do a port they will not do it. In fact the salesperson and appeared to be a mgr acted like I did not know what I was talking about. In the end they would not sell the phone and the ATT lady that was there started to laugh when I left as she thought it was funny and visually laugh in my face as I walked away. When I asked her why she was laughing she said nothing. This is why we left ATT young inexperienced sales people that don't know customer service is one. I took a new laptop together with my old laptop to have Geek Squad clone my files, install software and optimize to my new laptop. I picked up both my computers after being notified they were done. When I checked for my files, I was not able to find a folder that was sitting on my old computer. That folder contained more than 14 GB of family pictures: kid high school graduations, prom, senior pics, family vacations. They deleted everything in that folder, except for one small subfolder with a small handful of pics. None of those pictures were transferred to my new laptop, so all my family pictures were just deleted, nowhere to be found on either computer. I tried calling Geek Squad, then Corporate, and I just kept getting passed around from person to person and everyone would say there was nothing they could do. I believe that this was intentional. Terrible customer experience. I've been using the local best buy stores after signing up for their total tech membership. One of the first products I bought was a Nest Thermostat. They repeatedly don't show for appointments with all day time windows. So I sit at home and wait, but no one shows up. When they came, they broke my AC. I've made two dozen calls to different tech support numbers, been transferred to every department available, called the store and no one called me back, drove all the way back into the store and was promised resolution and a time frame but no one followed up or responded to my subsequent emails when trying to resolve. After purchasing an item online for pickup in Round Rock and arriving at the location, I was assisted by Shaymaa. She realized something wasn't accurate with the order. With the quick action of Lucas and the support of the general manager, Kris, they solved the problem in less than 10-minutes. I haven't had this experience at any BBY store before. The customer support that I received was top notch and I'm willing to drive beyond Pflugerville for it. I highly recommend this location. Great job team. Our cellphone carrier had the model phone that we wanted & it was much higher than Best Buy. When the Best Buy manager Maddi and the sales associate Cindy tried to set up my new phone, they were told by the carrier that the new cellphone was not compatible. (I had verified beforehand that the iPhone was compatible & the carrier sold it in their store & also online). So to make a very long story short, Maddi & Cindy took care of everything. We recently went to the Best Buy in Round Rock to buy a new washing machine. The first trip there was easy and we got a great deal and the employee was very helpful. We went back the next day because we realized we needed to buy a pedestal for the washer and we found an open box item that said it came with all accessories. Said that we wanted that one and the employee this time looked pretty perturbed that we wanted that specific open box item because it was under a washer and there was a similar one nearby that wasn't (but it was marked as not including all of the parts). After much grumbling from the employee they sold us the pedestal and we got home only to find it did not in fact have all the parts (it's a pedestal with a washer in it and it was supposed to come with a number of connectors and hoses with it). Ended up going up again later that day to see if I could get the parts. Had to speak to a manager on duty and while he was helpful in trying to look for the parts, he didn't find them. We ended up breaking open a couple of their boxes of hoses that were on the shelf to get some of the parts needed (but not all of them). I understand that things get lost, but if you don't have all the parts for an open box unit don't mark that you have them. Then it came to delivery time for the first purchase. I got no notification, no call. I had to call in on the day that it was supposed to be delivered to find out that I would have to reschedule and the nearest available dates was another five days out. I asked if there was any way for me to speak to a manager to see if we could expedite this because we had already been without a washer for over a week and had a house with adults and kids. I was told that a manager would call me "as soon as we hung up". That was a lie. I called back and said I would wait on hold. After 30 minutes on hold I was hung up on. Never heard back from anyone. I recently bought $15K worth of equipment from BB and after dealing with their 888 number (no help) on price matching, I desperately called the local number (where I also made some purchases). First off I have done a ton of business with Beat Buy in Round Rock, but I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. My daughter bought a stereo installation kit for her truck. Best Buy gave her the wrong install kit. She didn't realize this until the 3rd party installing the kit had cut into the kit to modify it. Now I realize the 3rd party should have noticed that, but non the less if my daughter would have been given the correct part we would not be in this predicament. I tried to return the part for refund and Best Buy would not honor it. They also would not accept the fact that they were wrong in giving us the wrong part. Do not buy appliances from here. We had a set picked out and scheduled the delivery date. In the delivery window, the driver calls and says they only have the dryer on the truck - what use is that?! We told them to come back when the set was complete. The driver advised his manager would be calling us because he was not sure why the full set was not available. No call from the manager - we attempted to call customer service. Hold time was over an hour long. Multiple phone transfers and different employees could not give us an answer on where our missing item was? My boyfriend went to the store after wasting time on the phone with no progress. The store seemed to not care or attempt to resolve the situation. At this point we were so over with the customer service and lack of courtesy for the situation. We cancelled the whole order (over 1000 dollars) and took our money to Home Depot instead. Home Depot price matched Best Buy for us! They were polite, patient, and great. Especially our delivery guys. Shout out to Otis and Edgar! They came on a rainy day, cheerful, professional, and while incredibly efficient, never acted rushed. I wish I could give the Best Buy Geek Squad a rating lower than one star. I took my Apple Mac computer to Geek Squad because it would not boot up due to the fact that I could not charge it. Geek Squad responded with some "word salad" about how they could not fix it because it had a certain type of screw that held it together. They did not even bother to look at it. I then took the computer to another authorized Apple service provider in a small shop in a small shopping center who diagnosed the problem within ten minutes and had it fixed within a half hour. Geek Squad services are a joke and a rip-off. If you need work on your computer, I recommend that you take it anywhere else. read more

I am a Best Buy customer and a member of their total care program. I brought my son's 3 1/2 year old Dell computer tower in this week for them to diagnose a problem it was experiencing when launching any internet type of gaming platforms (Roblox, Steam, etc..). I explained to the service repair person that when he launched a game, the screens would freeze after a couple of minutes of play and the computer would then shut down. It had been working fine for 3 1/2 years and the problem only started two days earlier. I asked him if it could be the GTX 1650DE GPU causing the problem and he said it was mostly likely not the GPU, since it was allowing the monitors to work as long as games weren't being played. He said he would know more once he got inside and ran some tests. The next day JC called and said it was a hard drive issue. I told him to go ahead and replace it. He went out of his way to tell me that I needed to purchase my son a gaming computer and my current computer was not meant for game play. I told him he has been gaming on it for over 3 1/2 years and never had any issues before 2 days ago. I thanked him for his advice of purchasing a $1,200-$1,600 gaming computer, but would really like to just figure the problem with my current tower. I asked him to please test to see if games could be launched after he replaced the hard drive. He called me later that night and said it was still crashing even with the new hard drive installed. Once again he said the reason it was crashing was because it wasn't a gaming computer. I reminded him again that it never had the problem before two days ago. I asked if he checked the GPU and he said he did and that wasn't the problem. He said it was most likely the motherboard now. He recommended not spending any additional money on it and once again suggested I buy a gaming computer. I told him thanks and that I would pick up our computer later in the day. When I got to the store, I purchased a new GTX 1650 GPU and replaced it myself when I got home. My son is now playing all of his games again on our "non-gaming" tower without any issues. Upon inspection of the old GPU, it has some several areas on the circuit board that are discolored and metal points that appear to be burned/melted. If I can spot that, I would have expected a trained/experienced technician to see it as well. They could have placed a working GPU in the tower and found that was the problem, not my hard drive. read more

I did have a bad customer service with one guy that works in the good spot because of all the electrical items that I have purchased there he refused to come and hook up my items that I needed hooked up and therefore it's been two weeks now since it has originally been an hour since my appointment has been made no one has come by my last electrician says oh we don't do appointments and I said well why would you make the appointment on this day? He says you have to go into the store and make the appointment I go in the store in the stores has me I have to call 800 number guy just told me I could not make an appointment by calling the 800 number so now I'm confused, I have went into the store they tried to make me pay again I refused. I said you need to look at my past purchases and see how much money I have spent here within the past two weeks and he did, and he found my item and he made me appointment set for Tuesday so I guess now I'm happy three stars for me read more

One star is too generous for the "Geek Squad" of The Round Rock Best Buy. A bit of background... I've been having issues with my Samsung phone where the phone will be fully charged and less than 4 hours later, while only on standby, be totally dead. On Saturday, I took the phone to The Best Buy (I originally purchased the device at a Best Buy) in Round Rock, which is the only one of their stores in the Austin area that services the device. The "technician" tested my device and said the battery was fine and they couldn't replace it because it past their "thorough test". Not one to take things at face value, I went over to iTech in the Domain. The technician was knowledgeable and pleasant and agreed there was something up with the phone. He opened up the device (with me standing there) and to both of our surprise the battery was swollen to twice it's correct size and ready to explode. Remember all those people who couldn't get on airplanes last year because their Galaxy Note 7's were ticking time bombs?...yeah like that! New battery installed and I've had zero issues with it since. Apparently, Best Buy's rigorous test was to ask "is it a battery?" and if the answer is "yes" it passes. I will NEVER give Best Buy my business again. Not only did they fail to correctly diagnose the issue with my device but they let me walk out the door with a device that could have caused physical harm or fire damage. So, in short, if you need a device repaired I'd recommend using ANYONE else (I recommend iTech in the domain ). Best Buy....I hope Amazon puts you out of business. read more

We ordered a washer and dryer with the pedestals and paid for everything up front. They scheduled delivery. Once the delivery date arrived they delivered everything except the pedestal for the washing machine. They said that it wasn't in stock. How do you not know the pedestal wasn't in stock when you scheduled the delivery. They re-scheduled the pedestal delivery for 1 month out. 1 month came, and the day it was supposed to be delivered they said they don't have a pedestal anywhere in any warehouse at all. Are you serious??? I took time off from work to find this out? We called customer service and they kept giving us the run around, everything from leaving us on hold to hanging up on us. We finally had to physically go into the store, cancel the pedestal and order a different type. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life.
